but the voices are muffled until he hears a piercing streak ripping through the office he takes this as his signal and hurries inside just as Palpatine finishes off ccinee in a gencar Anakin ignites his lightsaber and blocks Palpatine's next attack before he can finish off kitfisto the Chancellor's face morphs into horror as he looks at Anakin with large pleading eyes Anakin please help me I cannot help you Chancellor not unless you were willing to surrender his expression hardens as he pushes Anakin back and prepares to attack again then you shall join them Palpatine thrusts his hand out and while Anakin leaps out of the way kitfisto slams against the wall and slumps to the ground mace takes this opportunity to strike from the side but the Sith Lord blocks his attack and focuses on the traitorous Jedi Knight the chancellor Springs forward unleashing a barrage of attacks at Anakin to his surprise Anakin doesn't falter like the more experienced Jedi Masters somehow his lightsaber is everywhere Palpatine strikes leaving his defenses nearly impenetrable but he doesn't just block attacks Anakin also counters and mixes his blocks with attacks that ruin Palpatine's choreographed moves one block comes too late and Palpatine stumbles feeling a searing pain across his thigh Anakin takes this opportunity for an overhead slash but the Sith Lord throws a barrage of lightning Anakin's way he doubles over in pain giving the chancellor a chance to stand up a cry behind him causes Palpatine to turn around as mace rushes at him the two lock Sabers as the force around them swirl with power the darkness fills the room but against Mace Windu it has far less of an effect and he holds his ground while the two are held in place Kit Fisto wakes up reaches and hurls some furniture at Palpatine it strikes the chancellor on the shoulder and base swings his lightsaber at him causing Palpatine to cry out the two Jedi Masters Rush at Palpatine forcing the Sith Lord on the defensive while the two masters keep the chancellor on his toes Anakin rushes forward and drives his lightsaber into his chest Palpatine's eyes widen as he can only stare in Surprise before he drops to the ground without a sound the three Jedi stand over him Breathing heavily from their Victory but they know they do not have time to celebrate we have everything we need here kitfisto and I will hurries back to their ship and flies off however as he disappears into the clouds Anakin spots several gunships approaching the Senate building he doesn't have time to dwell on it by the time Anakin returns news has already begin filtering out of an attack on the Senate building and explains everything that happened before the council their eyes widen at the story wondering how a Sith Lord was able to slip through right under their noses when the video stops they all stare at each other unable to comprehend what they've seen but soon after they all receive a broadcast from the hollow net and Admiral torkin appears before the senate floor beside him are Kit Fisto and mace Wu who are restrained by the chus on guard I appear before the esteemed Senate with the difficult task of reporting an attack at the heart of our democracy earlier today several members of the Jedi High Council orchestrated an assassination of Chancellor Palpatine they claimed that they were acting to eliminate a Sith Lord even if such baseless rumors were true such acts of vigilantism cannot be tolerated especially from such an organization the entire Senate erupts in anger such an act calling for the Jedi disillusion although some Jedi supporters try to lend their voice they are quickly shouted down masam ma bangs his staff and signals for silence in response to this crisis I know that a Jedi Council be taken into custody and the Jedi Temple occupied until a thorough investigation can be concluded the vote passes with overwhelming support we can't let this happen the whole Republic thinks we're tra ERS I can testify I was there I saw everything listen to me we can fight these lies Hasty action we must avoid scattered the Jedi are across the Galaxy fractured our strength is they've turned the Clones take him straight to prison the the dining hall is filled with the buzz of prisoners eating as Anakin approaches the conversation shifts to him eyeing him weily as he passes by and takes a seat alone on a long metal table however he doesn't have a chance to enjoy his meal as two bounty hunters approach him well look what we have here the great Jedi Knight the last time I saw you I left you flopping on the ground like a fish after I zapped you they sit down beside him but Anakin doesn't respond continuing to eat what's the matter not so tough without your lightsaber are you bet you think you're still better than all of us Chata suddenly flips Anakin's tray over spilling its contents over Anakin's jumpsuit he surges to his feet while the two grin at him glancing up at the guards watching from above one of them notices and immediately trains his blaster on them come on Jedi show us what you've got Anakin glares at the two but a third figure appears taller than the rest although he's wearing a similar jumpsuit there's no mistaking the image of a clone trooper leave him alone you want to join in labrat you know the gods are watching right they'll go easy on one of their brothers if something starts you two not so much reluctantly roban Nino and Chata exchange glances before getting up and walking away Dogma sits down across from Anakin giving him a respectful nod don't let them get to you General a couple of pipsqueaks like them are trying to climb the pecking order I know you General whatever they said to put you in here I don't believe a word of it thank you that means a lot I wish more of your brothers felt the same way he glances at the upper levels for the guards are watching them weily fingers resting on their triggers most gods are on edge Weights where a rodian inmate is just finishing up and a trashion moves to take his place but suddenly the weights slip free and nearly crush his foot the trashin shoves the rodian and Bellows angrily in response the rodian curses him in his native language without another word the two lunge at each other fists flying the sound of the scuffle attracts the guards who come in with Electro stabs while the prisoners gather around and watch the brawl in a matter of seconds a fight breaks out across the room as guards and prisoners fight one another Anakin and dma stand away from the action the Clone flicking his wrist and revealing the missing safety pin from the weight bench the two slip through the crowd dodging punches as a fresh Squad of guards appear the two quickly make their way through the Halles as the riot spreads across the prison this pulls more guards away from their posts including those in the Maximum Security Prison Dogma leads the way keeping close to the walls ducking behind Corners as they approach Junctions towards the Maximum Security Prison most of the gods have focused on the right should give us a few minutes ahead head they see a heavily secured door Beyond it Maul is kept with only a handful of guards left Anakin pulls out a guard stun baton which he swiped from the brawl and holds it up Dogma moves to the first guard wrapping his arms around him and pulling him into a shadow before the second guard can respond Anakin hurls the Baton at him and sends him slumping to the ground Dogma punches a stolen code on the control panel and the doors slide open revealing Maul's cell a ray shield hums Softly casting an eerie light over the room Maul sits cross-legged his eyes closed but his eyebrow raises as he hears them approaching Anakin stands outside the cell his hand resting near his belt where his lightsaber once would have hung now he only has Dogma in his bare hands you've come to me that means the situation is worse than I imagined I need your help Palpatine is gone the mighty Chancellor is dead interesting and yet your precious Jedi Order is still on the back foot very interesting Dogma keeps watch at the door glancing nervously between them as the alarms outside grow louder time is running short how do you know that despite my imprisonment I have made sure to keep track of the happenings of this galaxy Gods speak when they do not think you are listening listening that is how I know how your Jedi trial is not going well it seems like some Jedi have been executed for trying to resist they may decide to execute all of them if this continues Anakin feels his breath leaving his throat as he hears this news while Maul smirks enjoying the look on his face slowly the Jedi takes a breath and looks at him carefully not wanting to show any weakness and knowing Maul wishes for him to be unsteady I didn't come for news that I can hear from guards I come for information you know Palpatine more than anyone else and if there's anyone who can provide evidence of his connections to them and what's in it for me if I were to help you what about your freedom and why should I believe that you Skywalker would free me it was your Labyrinthian Halls by now it seems seems like most of the fighting is moved and only the dead and unconscious are left among them is robonino and Chata but the two suddenly spring to life a knife flashing in chat's hands as he slices his Dogma against the leg causing him to stumble robonino holds up a knife and lunges at Anakin who is faster and Dodges the attack and catches the weapon he twists the weapon away and kicks the tiny Bounty Hunter aside meanwhile Chata doesn't even get close to Maul as he lifts him with the force and slams him against the wall Maul plucks the knife from chat's fingers and throws it at robonino was that necessary Maul shrugs his grin widening no Witnesses they find the shuttle and fly off to Mandalore the darkened Skies of Mandalore Loom overhead Ash swirling from the distance while the ruins of ships and artillery scatter the fields thankfully these same Battlefield remains provide them with ample cover to hide from Mandalorian patrols Maul leads them through a maze of collapsed buildings and scorched walls Anakin follows closely while Dogma covers the rear as they head towards mul's military headquarters here my quarters are beneath the ruins the hollow discs I left behind hold all the information you need they slip inside watching as a patrol of mandalorians depart Dogma stands guard as Maul presses his hands to a barely visible hatch on the ground activating it with the force the stone slab slides across with a grinding sound revealing a narrow set of stairs descending into the darkness Maul leaves nothing untouched his fingers brush over old datapads his eyes scanning the shelves until he finds what he's looking for three small Hollow discs hidden beneath a false panel he tucks them into his robes and turns to leave but a sound from above stops him footsteps Anakin steps up beside him hand instinctively reaching towards his waist even though his lightsaber is still gone Maul Chuckles pointing at a lightsaber in the corner take that one my brother's old lightsaber someone's coming he gathers the remaining data pads and places them in a backpack before leading them out as they reach the open air they find over a dozen figures surrounding them mandalorians stand as semicircle blasters aimed while CAD Bane Twirls a toothpick between his teeth his Blaster loose in its holster beside him stands raaka Hardin embo tasi and donon I see torkin brought his hunting dogs here a full pardon for whoever brings your head he pulls out a blaster and locks eyes with Anakin but Maul steps forward and Chuckles Darkly fools you come here to die without warning Maul lashes out with the force grabbing one of the the mandalorians and slamming him into a wall with a sickening crunch the Ambush erupts into chaos Blaster fire lights up the night as the two sides Collide mandalorian's open fire but Maul is already moving like a blur his double-bladed lightsaber igniting and spinning around his lightsaber deflecting the laser fire several mandalorians are cut down by this attack CAD Bane steps back firing a few bursts of blaster fire as Anakin charges at him narrowly dodging a shot he tackles Bane to the ground two rolling through the dirt behind him twas Jabs her bayonet at him but Anakin rolls aside and kicks her across the face her mechanical hand tries to slam into him but Anakin catches it with his own and sends her stumbling to the ground before he can press her further a jolt of energy courses through him as Deron unleashes a burst of electricity that forces him to his knees Dogma fires his Blaster and grazes the paran's shoulder while while causing the tentacle to uncoil this time Anakin slashes his lightsaber across the Ron's tentacle he screams and tries to pull free but Roco hardine gives him a chance to back away by providing cover fire dogma's attention is taken away to try and take CAD Bane's attention however he is outmatched and has to jump from cover to cover by the time Anakin finds out where Roco is Bane is back on his feet he flies closer firing his Blaster at him and then trying to keep him off the ground while he's distracted tasi intervenes and pulls out a shock knife slashing at Anakin who Dodges encounters with a quick jab to her gut but each time he's about to finish the Bounty Hunter off the other comes in and pulls his attention away Anakin tries to defend against these Relentless attacks but feels them starting to overwhelm him backing him towards the corner the frustration builds inside him screaming to be Unleashed and unleash it he does with a snarl Anakin thrusts his hand out and unleashes a wave of Dark Energy across the bounty hunters throwing them back only Bane to keep his feet and look back in surprise but quickly launching him self at him Maul cuts down another Mandalorian his eyes glowing with rage but his attention is drawn to two figures bokatan and embo up for rematch embo hurls his war helmet which staggers Maul and sends him stumbling as he writes himself bokatan lunges at him and drop kcks him he doesn't fall as his mechanical legs dig him into the ground and then write him up where he backhand bokatan embo picks up his bowcaster and Fires at him forcing Maul to deflect the attacks as the night brother runs to close the distance as Maul slashes his lightsaber the Bounty Hunter leaps up and swings his hand like a shield smacking the base of it against Maul's chest he rolls aside as bokatan unleashes her flamethrower Maul dives off of his feet just as the heat grazes his back he doesn't remain there and Maul Dives to the side and grabs botan's leg throwing her to the ground and breaking her jetpack before she can get back up Maul drives his lightsaber into her chest she lets out a strength strangled cry before embo hurls his hat again and knocks Maul off balance the Bounty Hunter catches it and throws it a second time this time he's able to dodge it and close the distance throwing a flurry of punches embo once again uses his hat like a shield blocking each attack as Maul pulls back for another blow he slams forward and knocks the wind out of the night brother embo follows up and slams The Rim against Maul's jaw leaving him staggering while he stumbles back embo hurls but Maul is ready he raises his hand and catches it in midair and then slams it back into embo while he stumbles Maul swings his lightsaber the Bounty Hunter raises his shield to try and defend against the attack but Ma saber slices through the shield and his head he turns to see Anakin making short work of the bounty hunters his burst of dark energy had taken them off the ground tazi and Daron are already dead on the ground while Bane is flying back trying to avoid Anakin's Relentless lightsaber attacks first hint of panic forms on the Bounty under face as he flies off and tries to make his Escape however anigan is faster and slices his rocket boots sending him stumbling to the ground CAD Bane lands hard on his stomach but then whirls around and fires a shock net it wraps around Anakin's legs leaving him screaming in pain but then he slices through with his lightsaber as Anakin steps forward the darkness seems to burn around him as he approaches in desperation Bane activates his taser and tries to Lunge forward but Anakin drives his lightsaber into his forearm he screams and Anakin pulls his lightsaber up and holds it against his throat without another word he decapitates him Maul on the other hand starts to clap his hands well done Skywalker it feels good doesn't it embrace the dark side and let it flow through you look what you can accomplish Anakin turns and faces the broken bodies of the bounty hunters a part of him feels SA faction at finishing them off he would love to do more to finish off the other foes and do the same to Tarkin but then he recalls why he is here the Jedi Order needs him and who is standing trial now he slowly presses Sage's lightsaber back into Maul's hands here this is yours I promise to free you nothing more not quite done yet Dogma is being forced back by Raco Hardin Maul lunges forward and then swings lightsaber in one quick thrust that deflects the Blaster bolt right back at hardine running right through his Blaster scope Anakin gives Maul a Curt nod helping do went to his feet and they hurry back into the shuttle to return to corusant unfortunately by the time they return to corusant the situation has deteriorated this only puts more pressure on Tarkin to take further action the trial is sped up and Anakin's Escape is used as evidence of the Jedi's guilt but now they are actively calling for all remaining Jedi to be executed to prevent any further chaos he spent this time convincing the Senate that the Jedi are trying to gain power unfortunately this is working well and the Voting is now in their favor but as the Voting is about to conclude a figure emerges from the senate floor and steps onto a Repulsor lift Anakin appears holding up the Satchel of data pads and Hollow discs he sets them down and begins playing them these files include hidden Communications between Maul and Palpatine recordings of their conversations in Mission profiles and even a hidden recording of Palpatine's Final Duel between him Maul and Savage when the recordings end the Senate is in shock they stare at the screen pondering on what they just saw the Jedi Order has long suspected a Sith Lord had infiltrated the Senate but we were unsure of who it was when we learned it was Palpatine we wanted to act iMed immediately and I understand that the Jedi overstepped but we must ask ourselves how as Sith Lord was able to climb the ranks of our Republic and whether we should encourage such actions by removing the organization that stopped them as His words hit home a ripple of uncertainty washes across the Senate Tarkin begins to Blink and shifts from side to side but the damage is done as the vote concludes and the Jedi
