What if Anakin Skywalker crashlanded in the Marvel universe? Let's explore the depths of it in the video. In the cold tundra of Siberia, a dig site has been organized as a large group of Hydra agents gather around a crashed starf fighter. They keep their weapons trained on the cockpit as they finish their excavating. Scanners hum as they inspect the entire ship, detecting a faint heartbeat. The men are prepared to execute the figure and take the technology for themselves. But a figure marches through the snow and raises a metallic hand. His face is covered while his vibranium arm flickers in the fading sunset. The soldiers all instinctively lower their weapons and listen to him as he receives a private communication from their command. Alive. The Hydra agents all look at one another, uncertain of how to get the man out of the cockpit, but they begin working on him immediately. Eventually, they manage to pry the ship open and pull him out, where the scientists are stunned to see his readings. The man, Anakin Skywalker, has vitals that show him far beyond what a normal human has. It slowly dawns on the scientists just what kind of prize they managed to find. Far more than a simple crash site. They might have just recovered a super soldier. Orders are sent to Winter Soldier to transport him to Skovia immediately. When Anakin wakes up, he is surprised to find himself in a hospital bed. When he tries to sit up, a hand gently guides him back down to rest. Relax. You're not in any danger. You've got a lot of tension in your muscles for someone so young, soldier. Uh, yeah. In a matter of speaking. Where am I? Earth. More specifically, Novagrad General Hospital. I brought you here after your ship crashed. I'm sensing quite a story there. I would love to hear it. Anakin looks at him for a moment. The under secretary of the security council has a kindly almost grandfatherly look about him. It kind of reminds Anakin of Palpatine and helps put him at ease. But as they talk, Alexander nods. You're worried. I understand. You don't need to tell me anything you don't feel like dulging. However, I am obligated to tell you that you aren't our first alien visitor here, and my government has kind of gotten jumpy on that sort of thing. But I want to help you and ensure you are treated right. Anakin's shoulders relax as he hears this. Afterwards, the two of them continues to talk until Anakin's story comes spilling out. The Jedi had crash landed there due to a hyperspace anomaly. This happened during Loki's capture of the Tesseract and knocked Anakin's ship off course, leading him to crash onto Earth. It was there that Hydra recovered him and brought him here. And when that is done, Anakin finds Alexander staring at him, amusement in his eyes mixed with intrigue. He suppose that was only fair. He was essentially an alien. Well, then I want you to know I mean Earth no harm. I would just like help returning home and my people will do everything we can to help you. In the meantime, I think it's safe to let you out and explore our planet. I'm sure you are hungry after a long trip. Crossbones is assigned to escort Anakin through the city, both to show him around and to ensure nothing bad happens. The city is both so different and so similar to Tatooine. While the weather is different and there is thankfully no sand, what there is is poverty and hardship. Everywhere Anakin looks, he sees the struggles of people that he's long gotten used to seeing on Coruscant. The infirm and elderly begging on the street, gauntlooking children, and bentback adults trying to make meager living. Above him, all he can see is the gray skies and the run-down buildings made possible only by a government that no longer provides for its people. I see none of this ever changes. Not with how we run things, it doesn't. Our leaders talk and talk about diplomacy, about peace and justice, but where is that talk on the streets? Instead, it's just men like us keeping things afloat these days. I wonder what the Senate ever really does. But part of me knows I won't like the answers. That's the point. We don't want people thinking or asking questions of whether the old world is worth saving. If you ask me, it's simple. If there's something better on the horizon, then none of this matters. But that isn't the only similarity that Anakin spies on this planet. As he talks with Crossbones and other people of the city, he learns about the Avengers, the group of superpowered heroes who protects this world from danger. They certainly have skills, as they've managed to protect Earth from all these major threats. And yet in the everyday suffering of people, they are nowhere to be seen. They are not helping uplift the people of Skovia or in other cities in these areas. The streets of Novagrad are cracked and crumbling. Children chase each other through the alleys, leaping over broken stone. Women lug heavy buckets up winding stairs, and men barter scraps for medicine. Anakin watches all of this and begins to get to work. He repurposes old turbines and water heaters to bring heat to schools. He lifts debris with force, fixing a collapsed shelter. He calibrates drones to deliver food more efficiently across hard-to-reach areas. The people stare in awe, then in hope. They see him, not just for what he does for them, but how he does it. Anakin does not hide his force abilities. In a world where such powers are becoming common, there is no need. Rather than being confused and terrified, the people welcome it and see Anakin as a hero. their hero. Not like the Avengers who sit at top the ivory tower, but one on the ground with them. This effort allows Sokovia to gain attention as Anakin's feets bring media attention with the donations and financial support. All things ensured by Alexander Pierce. His agents watch this from their castles and lookout posts. They monitor his progress and see him winning hearts and mines. After weeks of work, the city is starting to look quiet. The streets are cleaner. There are fewer beggars and the infrastructure begins to flow a lot smoother. Anakin stands by a railing cloak billowing. Pice joins him carrying two mugs of hot black tea. They're calling you the sky guy now. You're doing good work, Anakin. They need help. No one else is lifting a finger. They live in squalor while men and towers debate sanctions. It didn't take much effort for me to help this place. And yet with all the power in the world, the Avengers, the Security Council, and SHIELD can't do a damn thing. It's like what you told me about the Republic. Well, I'm afraid Earth will end up the same way. You know, the funny thing is, I haven't even thought of going home, but this place certainly could use my help. If I stay, you know, I'll do everything I can to help you. I'm glad to hear that. There's a group of people who want to change things. It's drastic, I know, but they think the best way to do that is to remake the world order. I've considered that, too. Sometimes I want nothing more than to do that as well. But it does seem a bit extreme. There are people in my galaxy who wish to do the same thing, too. They would burn the galaxy down and make it a new. I've seen them, and I know they don't care about the people. They just want power. Anakin stiffens slightly. The room falls silent as the two men look at each other. Then Anakin chuckles. Sorry for putting a damper on things. It's quite all right, but let's have a toast to a brighter future. The two clink their glasses together and chuckle, but as Anakin lifts his mouth to drink, he barely notices the shape moving behind him. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch appear from behind. They reach out to Anakin and test his mind. He barely has time to blink before Scarlet Witch's magic takes hold. There, she sees all of Anakin's memories. his time serving as a Jedi in the Clone Wars and his growing disillusionment with the Jedi order in the Republic. With that pain also comes power. She sees how Anakin has reached the dark side in the past. She sees how it has given him strength and how that might help them. So, she reaches for it again and begins to fuel the Jedi. The last is the trait which Pierce wants to heighten. He wants to turn these to his advantage and begin using them to mold Anakin into Hydra's greatest weapon. When the two siblings disappear again, Pierce helps Anakin to his feet and smiles. How do you feel, Anakin? Hail Hydra. And with that, they gain their newest asset in the organization. A warrior with the same prowess as the Winter Soldier, but with the reputation to make him popular with the masses. They continue to turn Anakin into a sleeper agent, installing an inhibitor chip in him that can transmit certain commands and hidden controls, letting Pierce and the rest of Hydra keep tabs on him. By day, Anakin continues to help the people of Skovia and the rest of the downtrodden. But by night, he is another creature, a being fully in the palm of Hydra, and they make use of him. The young Jedi is used to seow chaos in the world, being deployed across the free world and used to further the goals of Project Insight. Anyone deemed a target, whether they be a civilian, a civil servant, or even a government official, is eliminated by him. Anakin's mastery of the force makes him a legendary assassin, able to slip through even the toughest defenses and take out anyone who gets in his way. Experienced and competent leaders are removed to pave the way for extremists. Regulators are removed to allow businesses and bad faith actors to move uncontested, and people who begin looking into these assassinations are taken out. All of this is intended to seow discord, the kind of discord that will make people long for the ironfisted control over Hydra. Meanwhile, in places that have known nothing but strife, Anakin moves to eliminate the threats to those areas. In Afghanistan, he removes the remnants of the 10 rings, systematically wiping out the remaining leadership. In South Africa, Ulisses Claw and his men are eliminated as well. While in Hong Kong, the Golden Daggers are eliminated. In these power vacuums, Hydra eagerly steps forward and creates order where there was chaos, bringing the people together and helping forge their planned new order. However, they cannot keep this entirely hidden as Anakin's name and reputation make him a public figure. His powers are worldrenowned, so there have long been suspicions of his involvement. Many in Shield even go as far as suggesting that Anakin be arrested, and they intervene. Yet, these efforts are massively unpopular with the people of Skovia and those that Anakin has freed. While the developed world sees him as an anarchist and a troublemaker, those who have been neglected by them see him as a hero, one who has brought justice where there was none. stability, security, and peace. All while the men he killed ignore their suffering or actively encourage it. To intervene in these places threatens a massive backlash that SHIELD cannot afford. Yet, they cannot ignore this threat, especially when Black Widow points out something disturbing. Similarities to another assassin she encountered, the Winter Soldier. The moon hangs low over a crumbling train as a shield stealth Quinjet lands silently behind Ridge. It's ramp lowers revealing Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, and Hawkeye. We're in. We're out. We're not here to start a war. Just to confirm what we suspect. We have only one target, this mysterious assassin, and to confirm whether or not he is Anakin Skywalker. If he isn't, then no problem. If he is, then no one should know we were ever here. The group moves through the buildings, surprised at how different the place looks in just a few short months. It seems like Sokovia had undergone a complete makeover with sprawling skyscrapers, clean roads, and rebuilt bridges. But they cannot marvel at the site for long as they continue to make their way deeper into the town. Iron Man pulls up the satellite data provided by Shield, which guides them to a suspected base in a ruined cathedral. Inside, it's bombed out. A dim blue light pulses from an old transmitter. Suddenly, the shadows twist. A burst of air pressure slams into them and Anakin Skywalker lands the center of the aisle, cloaked in black, hood raised, his lightsaber ignites with a low, menacing hum. You shouldn't have come here. Okay. Yeah. Uh, that's a glowing sword. Didn't miss that. We're not here to fight, just to talk. You are here to destroy what we've built because we refuse to submit to your authority. You came here to kill me. Should we take that as a confession? I don't care what you take it as. You are not welcome here. He raises his hand and a pulse of force energy blasts Hawkeye into a column. Iron Man takes to the air, narrowly dodging a flying bench. Captain America throws his shield and forces him to slide out of the way. This leaves him open to gunfire from Black Widow. Yet somehow, the Jedi manages to avoid each of these strikes. He ducks and slides from these attacks, and those bullets that get too close are parried by him. Some of the bullets melt when they come into contact with his lightsaber, but Anakin redirects them back towards Black Widow. Her eyes widen, but Captain America rushes in front of her and blocks his attack with his shield. Behind him, Hawkeye takes aim and fires an arrow. Anakin tries to sidestep it, but an explosion sends him stumbling back. Anakin groans and Iron Man leaps in, smashing his fist into him. This sends him stumbling back as the four Avengers fan out and surround him. Anakin takes a deep breath and then goes on the attack again. His weapon flashes in a blinding arc of white. His weapon whirls around and tries to take him. The four of them scatter and avoid his strikes. He is blindingly fast and yet none of his strikes land as the four scatter and then swarm him against four Avengers. Even Anakin can't last and finds himself being overwhelmed by their attacks. Suddenly, a shadow moves in the upper level. A second figure descends with a metallic thud. The Winter Soldier, expressionless, opens fire on them. He stands back with Anakin and offers suppressive fire. Captain America shields Hawkeye, who fires from his shield while Iron Man protects Black Widow. Bucky. Yet there is no answer save for a grenade being rolled forward. Captain America quickly pushes his shield on top of it. As it explodes, it sends him sprawling as the Winter Soldier engages him and Hawkeye in hand to hand. Meanwhile, Anakin rushes at Black Widow and Iron Man. His lightsaber manages to even damage Tony's suit, but a repulsor blast sends him skidding back. Meanwhile, Captain America kicks his shield back into his hand just as Winter Soldier's mechanical fists slams into him. He takes the blow and pushes back, knocking the soldier aside and then hesitating. "I know this isn't you." He looks to Bucky, whose hand shakes as he raises a pistol, only for it to falter, trembling. Anakin hesitates, his saber lowers an inch. His head twitches, and then the command codes come into effect. Bucky screams and squeezes the trigger on instinct. It nearly takes Captain America, but Hawkeye shoves him back and fires an arrow. Anakin activates his communicator, and soon the sound of sirens can be heard. The mission is compromised. We need to get out of here. He grabs on to Black Widow as the two of them take off, disappearing into the sky. Captain America breaks off and shields Hawkeye from the battle, rushing through the chaos and following after. Anakin prepares to follow, but receives another set of orders. No, let them go. The damage has already been done. The attack fails and becomes highly publicized in the news. Sokovia wastes no time in taking full advantage of the situation. They point out the obvious issues of a shield task force illegally entering another country and trying to assassinate its people without evidence or reason. The rest of the world is equally shocked with many of the countries allied to Hydra and other countries simply stunned by the development. Rushing to Skovia's defense, they point out Shield's lack of evidence and jurisdiction in this war. In many ways, they had done exactly what they accused Anakin of. Across the world, protests spring up condemning the Avengers. At first, it is just in other countries. But even within the United States, protests spring up that challenge their legitimacy. Many go as far as to call for their arrest. Meanwhile, Sokovia gains support from its allies who send men and weapons in solidarity with it. All of this allows them to continue on with their plan as now Shield continues on with Project Insight, going full steam ahead. While Pierce had initially intended for it to be used to eliminate his enemies, Anakin's arrival offers a new opportunity. He can now use the weapons to destroy SHIELD's reputation in the known world. With the growing chaos caused by their attack on Skovia, many influential figures have revealed themselves in their ensuing protests and investigation. Those who can be convinced to join Hydra will be spared, while those who can't will be eliminated. Anakin's job in all of this is to lead a strike team that will capture three helicarriers and keep them protected at all costs. While their hydra agents are already in place across the shield, Anakin, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch will secretly be deployed to keep them safe. Soon enough, the team arrives at the launch site. Quicksilver grabs their hands and guides them to the helicarrier as the ships are prepared to launch. And yet, just as things are about to happen, they hear the computer screens begin to display a message. Shield is not what we thought it was. It's been taken over by Hydra. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The Strike and Insight crew are Hydra as well. I don't know how many more. I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want. Absolute control. They shot Nick Fury. And it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today, Hydra will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. Unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high. It always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay. Soon enough, the sounds of fighting breaks out all across the facility as shield and hydra agents begin to fire upon each other. Some of them are coordinated, others are chaotic as they have no idea whose side they are on. Anakin immediately grips his lightsaber and looks around as his two companions. Both of them seem fairly certain. But Anakin feels his mind is clouded. He thinks of what all this means. What launching these helicarriers will entail. While they might be able to ensure freedom and security, he realizes there might be something more. What is to stop them from simply destroying whoever they don't like? Those ideas give him a pause, but his teammates glance at him. And then another set of commands runs through his inhibitor chip just as the windows shatter and the Avengers step inside. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon, and Hawkeye ready their weapons. 3 seconds to stand down before this gets ugly. Too late. Quicksilver vanishes in a blur of silver lightning, slamming into Hawkeye, disarming him instantly. He loops and rebounds, body checking Falcon midair and knocking him through a glass panel. Iron Man tries to take aim, but is lifted up by the Force and slammed into a wall. Anakin would have done worse, but he's dropkicked by Black Widow, who fires a stunned Darth. Electricity courses through the Jedi, but he rips it out and swings at her, forcing her to roll out of the way. Captain America lunges at Anakin, shield colliding with lightsaber, sending out a pulse of kinetic force that cracks the marble beneath them. He hurls it towards him again, but Scarlet Witch catches it and redirects the shield towards Iron Man with her telekinesis. It slams Iron Man into the ceiling beam. Black Widow rolls underneath it and fires electro discs at Scarlet Witch, but Quicksilver catches them in midair and tosses them aside. Falcon dives low and slams into him, sending both sprawling. He opens fire alongside Hawkeye, sending explosives ripping through the ground. Anakin dances through these attacks and uses the force to guide Scarlet Witch aside. Anakin moves like a storm. Saber flashing white gold arcs, footwork tight and brutal. Cap ducks, parries, and rolls, using the shield to intercept the strikes, but each impact knocks him back inches. Hawkeye tries to join them, firing explosive arrows at a distance, but Anakin absorbs them with the force. When Falcon opens fire with his wings, the Jedi leaps aside until Quicksilver appears, running on the walls and attacking from above, sending him and Falcon grappling. Cap on your left. He fires twin repulsors. Anakin twists midair, parrying one blast into the wall and force pulling Cap into the second beam to intercept it. Cap grunts, throwing a shield. Anakin force slams it back twice as fast, forcing Tony to catch it midair with a magnetic pulse. Quicksilver tries to repeat his earlier tactic on Iron Man, but as he approaches, an arrow detonates between them, courtesy of Hawkeye. The difference is that Iron Man's armor absorbs the blast. Quicksilver doesn't and is thrown against the wall. Scarlet Witch's hands rip blaze red. The entire room warps. Machines bend, lights flicker, and a metal beam tears from the ceiling and impales a console, shutting down the manual override. There is no stopping it. And is this what you really want? Look at the people you're targeting. Cap rolls behind a console and deactivates the computer screen, which shows the targets the helicarrier is preparing to strike. There is a student activist in the middle of her school protesting project insight. A Pakistani doctor treating refugees displaced by Hydra, a journalist in New York exposing corruption charges and a Skovian school teacher critical of government policies. No, we were supposed to protect people. As Quicksilver recovers, he stares up at the screen and sees Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye approaching him. He raises his hand up to surrender. Traitors. He taps a button on his commlink. The far wall explodes inward as the Winter Soldier arrives, face emotionless, gun blazing, targeting Cap and Iron Man. Bucky, don't do this. Anakin's chip pulses again. He groans, clutching his head. His eyes flicker yellow for a moment, then white again. He then throws his lightsaber at Iron Man, grazing his side as he leaps at him and begins to pummel him, using the force to rip apart the plates of armor. When the others approach, firing guns and arrows, he uses the force to redirect them and then throws them back. Then his hands go rigid as Scarlet Witch holds them in place. Let me help you. You I can at least save. She lifts her hands and magics flow into his mind. She begins to unravel the charm that she had placed on his mind. The one that made him more agreeable to Hydra and which molded him into an assassin, but this cannot stop the inhibitor chip in his brain. Here, Iron Man helps and grabs him from behind where he fires it with a precise electrical pulse. Anakin slumps over and sigh. How are you feeling? Like I have the worst hangover. Unfortunately, there is no time to rest as the rest of the Avengers are still battling the Winter Soldier. His gun keeps them at bay while his metal arm makes it dangerous to get in close. The only one who succeeds is Quicksilver, who slams into him and pushes him to the ground. There, the rest of the team wrestles him to the floor and lets the others work. But another communication comes from Nick Fury, reporting that Alexander Pierce is getting away. He's being escorted down a corridor with a strike team. Finish with him. I'll take care of Pierce. Are you sure? He'll have a lot of security around him. One thing you should know about me is that you should never be in a hallway alone with me. Besides, it's time I thank PICE for rescuing me. He runs off, leaving the rest of the Avengers alone. As he moves through the launch site, Nick Fury provides him with directions on where to go. While making his way in that direction, he blinks. Master Windu. Who the is Master Windu? Uh, never mind. As he leaps down a staircase, he hits the ground and immediately comes face to face with several dozen Hydra agents with their weapons trained on him. Anakin chuckles and ignites his lightsaber. The snap hiss was enough for a few to reconsider their situation, but it is too late. He rushes forward and his lightsaber flashes in the dark. The only light they have is from the blade and their muzzle flashes. The lightsaber moves in a blur, seemingly deflecting everything that comes his way before slashing forward. The first wave of men finds themselves cut down before they can reload. Others are thrown aside by the force. They are lifted up onto the ceiling and dropped down. Another is kicked against the wall while more are simply shoved aside. Their bodies knocking along the corridor. The rest of the Hydra agents back away, but Anakin advances at a stroll, slicing through their ranks. Screams fill the air as Anakin steps over their bodies until only Crossbones and Pierce remain. He lets Crossbone empty his clip as Anakin stops advancing and focuses on blocking his strikes. Once his rifle clicks empty, Crossbones tries to reach for his sidearm, but Anakin smirks as he holds up the handgun he picked up from one of the dead Hydra agents. What do you have there? A Mark 1 Desert Eagle. He fires a single shot and Crossbones drops to the ground. Pierce steps back and looks at the Jedi. And just what will you do with me? I'm going to see if two heads grow back. In a single stroke, he decapitates Pierce and lets his body drop to the ground. Meanwhile, the Avengers destroy the three helicarriers and put an end to Project Insight. While there is much uproar after these events, Anakin manages to help calm things down by personally joining the Avengers and offering to steer them right. As someone respected by the people, his presence helps put them at ease and begins leading them down a path being more present for the population. They are not just there for the big threats, but also to genuinely improve the lives of Earth's people. That's our theory.
