What if the force revived Anakin and sent him back to episode 1? Let's explore the depths of it in the video. Anakin's eyes shoot open as he looks around. The last thing he recalls was staring at his son's face as the Death Star exploded all around him. Now he awakens on a coarse, rough substance that gets all over his clothes. But as he sits up and shakes the sand off his cloak, Anakin glances around at his surroundings. He is in a sea of sand as far as the eye can see. While twin sons glare at him from the sky, his expression darkens. Either I'm in hell or I'm on Tatooine. Regardless, he gets up and begins walking towards a faint dot in the distance, hoping it is a town. As he makes his way over, he reaches for his lightsaber and still finds it blood red. But when he manages to catch his reflection on a shard of broken glass, he's surprised to see that his face has been restored. He looks much like himself during the Clone Wars. As it turns out, that little dot didn't turn out to be a figment of his imagination and was a town that slowly grows larger as he approaches. The city is bustling, filled with scum of all sorts. But there is something oddly nostalgic as he walks down the streets he grew up in. He then spots a pair of young children darting past him. The two quickly apologize as they bump against his leg, but Anakin freezes as they turn to face him. Kits and Waldo, his two young friends, but both of them look no older than nine. His eyes widen in surprise as he gets an inkling of where he might be. Reaching into the force, Anakin finds himself feeling a different sensation. The force is still here, but it seems unusual. The connection feels stronger, more balanced, but it also feels out of place. No, he is out of place. His suspicion grows, but there is only one way to confirm it. He begins jogging down a familiar street, weaving through crowds until he finds Wad's junk shop. He peaks inside and his breath catches in his throat as he spots who he's looking for. His mother sits by the corner, washing clothes and nodding along as the toridarian shouts orders to her. And then there is a loud cry from inside the shop. He sees himself, the young boy whose hands are covered with motor oil as he says he needs new parts for the droid he's building. The sight leaves a knot forming around Anakin's chest as he stares at himself and his mother. They are just like he remembered them, but also so strange. They seem happy, peaceful. Even in their life of slavery, they still find joy. They haven't yet experienced the pain of what the galaxy has to offer. Anakin looks away and clenches his droid hand. Feeling tears dripping down his glove. He thinks of everything that brought him here, everything he's done, but also everything the galaxy has thrown at him. the suffering and hardship, the pain he's experienced and the pain others will experience. When he reaches for his hollow disc and checks the date, his eyes widen and he feels his heart skip a beat as he sees it is the same date Qui-Gon arrives on Tatooine. One day before they discover he is a Jedi. One day before his entire life changes, he bows his head, wondering why the Force might decide to show him this. Is it a punishment for all he's done? No, not a punishment. It's an opportunity to make this all right and prevent this from happening. Perhaps the force wants to avoid this as much as him. Approaching W, Anakin clears his throat and looks at him. It takes a moment to steal himself as he forces the words out. How much for the boy and his mother? He feels dirty just saying that, but he makes himself keep a straight face. Not for sale, traveler. I think I can make it worth your while. You got wax in your ear. Not for sale. The boy alone is worth his weight in credits. The two of them continue to argue with Anakin continuously raising the price while Wad remains adamant that they are not for sale. Anakin considers simply threatening the Tidaren as he reaches for his lightsaber when another voice rings out. Excuse me, I hope I'm not interrupting. The Jedi Master suddenly steps into the store accompanied by Obi-Wan. The two of them narrow their eyes towards Anakin, who tries to hide his shock. He hides his lightsaber in the folds of his cloak as Qui-Gon continues to stare at him. Although he does not recognize the young man, he senses something odd about him. There is a powerful aura radiating off him, strong and much older than he looks. But it is also strange, as if he doesn't belong here. This immediately puts him on guard as he watches the man wearily. Obi-Wan's eyes never leave him. No, I was just talking with the store owner. He's all yours. Good luck, though. He steps back and waits to leave, but he is unsure where to go. He has nowhere to stay, and with the Jedi watching him, he's worried about arousing their suspicion any further. So instead, he makes an effort to continue browsing around in the far end of the store while he listens in on their conversation. He watches as Qui-Gon takes an interest in his younger self, talking kindly to him as he asks for their help. Watching it as an adult, Anakin is a little touched by seeing it. But at the same time, he still can't shake off the sadness, especially seeing Qui-Gon standing before him, looking alive and healthy. Still, he knows what this entails, and after a few moments, finally slips out when their attention is occupied with W. He stays in the shadows and waits for a few minutes longer, when at last, the two depart. Once they disappear down the street, Anakin heads back in to talk to W. You know those two are Jedi, right? Now you're spying on me. What does this boy mean to you? I'm trying to help you, fool. Didn't you see their lightsabers? Either they're Jedi or they're strong enough to kill Jedi. Whatever the answer is, you don't want to get tangled up with them. So what if they're Jedi? They have no jurisdiction to operate on Tatooine. They're just asking for repairs on their ship. They aren't here to arrest me. Maybe not right away, but you know how they are. They can never leave anything on its own. Once they see what's happening here, they're going to report to their council and they might launch an investigation. Tell me, how will Gordola react when she hears that you brought the Jedi upon her fine town? This time, Watt begins to freeze him and offers to make Anakin a deal. He'll let him take them if he meets his price. It's astronomical, but Anakin agrees and says he can pick them up tomorrow. By the way, what's your name, stranger? Oh, Lars Quell. The sun dips low over Mos Espa, bathing the streets in golden shadow. Dust hangs in the air like breath held too long. Qui-Gon Jinn walks with measured steps through the marketplace, eyes scanning the crowd. Jar fumbles behind him, juggling a handful of fruit. Padme follows silently, wrapped in her peasant cloak. Not far off, a boy leans on a podraer engine, grease on his fingers, eyes locked on the sky as if it might answer a question he's never spoken aloud. And across the street, in the shadow of a vendor's stall, Lars watches himself. The force hums violently around him, a war between guilt and purpose. He crosses the street before the Jedi arrive. Hey, kid. Who are you? A friend and someone who knows what happens if you leave this planet with those Jedi. How do you know about them? Let's just say I've served with them before and it's not all it's cracked up to be. They'll offer you freedom, adventure, the galaxy, but they're not what they seem. They're pieces on someone else's board. You'll think you're becoming a hero, but they'll make you a weapon. And that will only end up with a lot of pain. I want to be a pilot, a Jedi. I want to help people. I know. I can teach you. You want to fly? I'll take you to the stars myself. I'll show you things the Jedi never will. Wad has agreed to let you come with me. What do you say, little one? Your mom can come, too. Behind them, footsteps crunch in the sand. Qui-Gon Jinn watches the exchange from a distance. His eyes narrow. He reaches out with the force and feels conflict. Rage, but also sorrow. Is everything all right here? Perfectly. I don't believe we've met. No, we haven't. A tense silence. Then the older man turns, vanishing into the crowd like a ghost. Qui-Gon watches him go, hand instinctively brushing the hilt of his lightsaber. Jarjar finally catches up, panting. Miss something. Something is out of place. Cheers still echo faintly through Moss Espa. But here, beneath the awning of the slave quarters, silence is settled like a dust storm that never arrived. Qui-Gon Jinn kneels before the boy. Shmei stands behind her son, a bittersweet smile in her lips. Pride and sorrow dance in her eyes. Although Qui-Gon managed to haggle Anakin's freedom, he wasn't able to do the same for Shmei, who must remain a slave. Young Anakin stares down at his hands. They're still trembling from the adrenaline of the race. And then he says he's not going without his mom. Qui-Gon is not surprised and gently places a hand on his shoulder, saying that it is difficult, but he must understand that he cannot do anything about it. Hearing this, Anakin pulls away and says that he won't go with him. I won't leave her. You said you'd try, but if she can't come, I'm not going. Anakin, your path lies with the Jedi. If you come with me, I promise. No, she's my mother. He's made his choice. Everyone turns from the alleyway. The cloaked figure of L steps forward, his presence slicing through the moment like a drawn blade. Qui-Gon steps protectively in front of the boy. What is your interest in this boy? That is none of your concern. Wrong answer. Qui-Gon draws his lightsaber slowly, igniting the blade with a hum. A pause. Then Lars ignites a saber of his own. But as it ignites, he recalls it remains the same crimson as when he was Darth Vader. The others pause, staring out in surprise at his weapon. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan throw themselves at him, their lightsabers flashing from either side. Lars steps back, intercepting each strike and parrying them. His movements are refined from years of fighting as he halts their offensive in its tracks. When Qui-Gon pushes forward, he catches these attacks and pushes him back with a force. Obi-Wan leaps above him, his style more aggressive and graceful. And yet, Lars has spent years observing it and deflects each attack with a preceded ease. The Padawan's eyes widen as he sees his offensive faltering and Lars looking close. Then with a powerful sweep, he throws Obi-Wan back. He's trained, Jedi trained. But at the same time, they also see his hesitation. He is not trying to kill, simply incapacitate them. He doesn't land any killing blows despite the opportunities and simply keeps them back. Qui-Gon lunges in precise and measured. Lars counters effortlessly, moving with the grace of a warrior who's fought for decades. Their sabers clash in blue and green light, sparks flying across the sand. Obi-Wan joins in from the flank. Lars blocks him without turning his head. Shmei pulls Anakin back, shielding him behind a wall. Then the air shifts. A cold breath on the neck of the force. A red blur drops in from the rooftops behind them, and Darth Maul leaps from a building, his double-bladed lightsaber hissing to life. The Jedi whirl around, caught between two threats. He lunges between Obi-Wan and Lars just as they are trading blows. Qui-Gon pulls his apprentice back and reaches for Shmei. the boy, please. Shmei nods and shoves Anakin towards him. Though the child screams for his mother, Qui-Gon pulls him towards their ship and takes off just as Maul pauses from his duel with Lars to see them taking off. Lars screams in frustration. But when he steals himself to prepare for Maul's attack, the Night Brother pauses, "You know, Jedi, I know who you serve, and I know how it ends. He's using you. He'll discard you the moment you've outlived your usefulness. I've seen it. You've seen nothing. Want to know how you die? He smiles and draws a line across his waist. Maul roars, but he can sense there is more than hollow bravado there. Perhaps a hint of truth. What do you propose? Always two, a master and an apprentice. One to wield the power and one to crave it. You are the apprentice. Let me help you take power. In exchange, give me the boy. Thieves knights are unusually quiet beneath the Trade Federation's rule. Gleaming tanks line the streets. Their mechanical hums echo across cobblestone courtyards. Droid patrols stomp in rigid formations. Blind to the subtle breakdowns emerging within the palace's infrastructure. Communication lines glitching. Power nodes flickering across doors that won't respond. At first, it seems like their control over the city is complete. But Lars knows there is more than meets the eye. He knows that resistance is brewing underneath. They have already ambushed droid patrols, attacked their supply lines, and recaptured or sabotaged critical areas. Now Lars aims to help them. If they can accomplish this without Republic aid, it will prevent Palpatine from gaining power in the Senate. Hood drawn, face half shrouded in darkness, he kneels beside a humming power conduit. With practiced hands, he pulls back a panel and installs a bypass charge. Spark stance. A section of the city plunges into darkness. In the confusion above, the local resistance slips past Federation watch posts. A silent war unfolds in shadows. Coordinated strikes, disabled relays, and misdirected signals. All orchestrated by a man who knows how this conflict is supposed to end. Meanwhile, smuggler ships begin to arrive, transporting muchneeded supplies to the resistance. blasters, equipment, and EMP grenades. These make a world of difference to the belleaguered resistance who have the courage but now have the tools to fight off their invaders. Word soon reaches New Gunray that the rebellion is organizing itself and that an occupation would be expensive. The viceroy is furious at this development as he had chosen Naboo explicitly because he was told it was unarmed. To make matters worse, his promised aid in the form of Darth Maul never arrives. The Sith remained missing in action, leaving Gunray to furiously contact Palpatine and ask for his aid. Unfortunately, the Chancellor has his problems. He had hoped Padme's arrival on Coruscant would help him get momentum in his vote of no confidence against Chancellor Verurum. But it seems like things have stalled most strangely. Although he was expecting support, many of his supposed allies have turned against him. Those he had worked to win over to his side suddenly back out. When he begins to ask them what happened, each one reports the same thing, a mysterious figure who arrived and threatened them. He warned them not to support the removal of the chancellor. Going by their description, it seems like it's Maul. This only infuriates the senator further. The air in the temple grows heavy at night, thick with incense and silence. Guards shift at their posts, unaware they are being watched. But right under their noses, Maul slips into the temple. Using schematics provided by Lars, he slips through the corridors undetected. As he reaches the end of one vent, Maul climbs up and drops soundlessly between two columns and glides through the shadows. No saber, no theatrics, only precision. He disables a sensor with a small sonic pulse and moves past the slumbering mind of a temple guardian using force suppression techniques once taught to him by Cidius. Down a quiet hallway past chambers etched with the faces of fallen Jedi. Maul finds a sealed meditation cell. He ignores them as he goes to the young lings's quarters. Taking extra care as this area is heavily guarded, but he soon finds the room number of Anakin Skywalker. The boy is lying on his bed, buried into his pillow as he thinks of everything that happened. Although Qui-Gon did save him, they abandoned his mother, and that is something he cannot forgive. The door hisses open. Anakin's eyes snap open, but Maul places a finger on his lips. Calm, child. I'm here to set you free. I was sent by Lars. You're not a Jedi. Neither are you. Play your cards right, and you may see your mother again. The boy hesitates. He can feel it. This man's presence is fire and rage, but there's no malice in his words. And after a long breath, Anakin takes his hand. As they prepare to leave, the temple alarms blare. In the council chambers, Jedi masters converge. Lightsaber hilts swing at their sides. Holograms of Anakin's empty chamber flicker before them. Someone broke into the temple. Took the boy. Some of the temple guards rush to intercept Maul, but the Sith Lord smiles and readies his lightsaber. He rushes at them, sweeping his saber staff and parrying their strikes. He ducks under their attacks and moves with inhuman speed before knocking them aside. Qui-Gon arrives just as he sees Maul knocking them aside and smiles. He then leaps into the vent, dragging Anakin alongside him. Qui-Gon tries to follow, but by the time he looks inside, the Sith has disappeared. This leaves Palpatines's situation in shambles, as he has no idea what's going on. But if he has any hopes of gaining power, he must act quickly and take control of the situation. The first thing he does is announce a visit to Naboo. With his planet under siege, he portrays this as an act of solidarity with his people. Meanwhile, his connections to Gunray will ensure that he gets through. There he can begin dismantling the resistance through his connections to the people. And if he's lucky, he can find Maul and put him in his place. The Night Brother soon rendevous with Lars in the swamps. But as he arrives, he finds an occupation much different than the one his master envisioned. The droid forces were spread thin, and the resistance is slowly growing more effective at countering them. Soon enough, there is a very real possibility that the Trade Federation must either fully commit to a long-term occupation and face the consequences or come to terms. Palpatines's arrival is a welcome development for this as he immediately begins propping up the Trade Federation. While he cannot hunt down each of the rebels, Palpatine has dirt on many of the resistance leaders, which he provides to New Gunray and blackmails them into silence or has them discreetly eliminated. But just when it seems like things might start to stabilize, Lars organizes the resistance and leads them to their most daring attack, an assault on the royal palace. Soon enough, blaster fire rains from the gates as these resistance fighters storm in. Rockets fly overhead and strike at tanks, clearing the path for the resistance to advance. Amidst the chaos, a small Jedi strike team arrives in search of Anakin and Maul. The palace of the trembles beneath the thunder of resistance. Blaster fire cracks through the air, painting streaks of red and blue across shattered walls and smoke-filled corridors. The gardens are scorched. Droid carcasses litter the marble steps. Above it all, the once pristine throne room looms untouched, but not for long. Through the main doors, Lars strides in. Resistance fighters flood behind him, pressing through the breach as the security grid collapses. But Lars has only one target in mind. At the far end of the chamber, Palpatine waits, cloaked in political chivalry, but seething with fury. His smile doesn't reach his eyes. I suspected the Jedi would come. But you, you're the infection, the one twisting my plans into knots. I've seen what you become, and I won't let that galaxy come to pass. Then die a pointless death. He lifts his hands and lightning bursts from his fingers, a torrent of searing power. It's followed by a force shriek, but rather than stopping him, Lars braces himself and blocks the attack. The force wells around him like a shield. The lightning crashes against it, scorching marble, but Lars stands firm. Then he channels it and redirects it, hurling Palpatine back. The stone cracks, the throne tilts, snarling, Palpatine readies his lightsaber and rushes at him, sweeping his weapon towards the Jedi. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Plun, and the rest of the Jedi move through the corridors, relying on their senses to guide them. Droids fall by the dozens. Smoke coils around them like ghosts, but none of this matters as they focus on finding Anakin and Maul. From the corner of their eye, they see movement. Plcun turns and unleashes forced judgment, but Maul spins out of the way and whirls his lightsaber at them. The rest fall upon him in an instant. Their sabers collide in a flare of red and blue. Obi-Wan intercepts one end of his saber while the other flanks, but Maul spins his lightsaber around and blocks their strike. Several of the slower Jedi fall to these attacks, but he is still badly outnumbered. The Sith warrior snarls and sweeps his lightsaber back and forth to keep them back. Still, he is slowly pushed back, but he doesn't let them dominate the fight. Maul roars and guides them towards the throne room, launching a fighting retreat there. Inside, Palpatine fights like a demon unleashed. The red saber carves through the air, darting for Lars's throat. But the Jedi steps back from each strike, staying just out of reach before springing forward and sweeping his lightsaber back. The red blade counters each strike. Sparks dance with every collision. He then gets in closer and nearly runs Palpatine through, but he turns the weapon at the last second and pushes him back. The senator counters with a swing and forces him to dance aside. Palpatine lashes out with a statue, hurling it across the room. Lars leaps clear, rolls, and returns with a sweeping strike. The senator ducks, snarling, sweat slicking his brow. As Palpatine reaches for more statues, the doors burst open. Maul and the Jedi spill into the chamber mid duel. They freeze as they take in the scene. Maul locks eyes with Palpatine and smirks. The senator turns, rage now tinged with fear. Master Quigon stares at Palpatine, immediately realizes what's happening. The Jedi rush in. Obi-Wan joins Lars at his flank. Together, they swarm Palpatine. The Sith fight like a storm unchained. Force lightning, saber strikes, bursts of raw energy that throw the Jedi from their feet. One Jedi falls, crushed by debris. Another loses their saber to a pulse of dark power. But the tide turns. Qui-Gon lunges, his saber piercing through robes, through flesh. Palpatine cries out, a sound like something ancient and hateful being dragged into the light. He tries to stumble back just as Anakin advances and parries his strike and cuts him down with a downward slash. It appears our business is done here. Are you forgetting that you are still his apprentice? Are you prepared to take on both of us again after that fight? He glances toward Lars and smirks. The Jedi says nothing, but as the rest of the strike team approaches, Anakin steps back and lets them advance on him. Maul's eyes widen as he barely brings up his lightsaber before they surround and disarm him. Lars flings Small back with the force, slamming him into the throne. Jedi spring into action, binding him with restraints. As they move to arrest him, Qui-Gon approaches him. And the boy hidden away far from the fighting. Good. Now answer me. What are you? I was someone who made the wrong choices. I lived through what comes next. I saw what happened to him, but I got a second chance. And now, so cany, you came from the future. That's why your presence feels so off. But what of the boy? He comes with me. We'll be keeping an eye on you, though. With this success and the exposure of the Sith, Orum is able to beat back the vote of no confidence, and the Jedi rally around him. With this momentum, he begins to reform the Republic in ways he couldn't previously. Meanwhile, Lars and Anakin return to Tatooine and free Shmei as they travel across the galaxy and begin helping other people. That's our theory.
