What if the force revived Ma Wu and sent him back to episode 1? Let's explore the depths of it in the video. [Music] Mace Wu falls through the skyline of Coruscant in disbelief at what just transpired. This is what life has come to. Mace opens his eyes in disbelief. He's somehow still alive, but when he looks around, he's not on the grounds of Coruscant. He's in the Jedi Temple, meditating alone as he would usually do. The panic sets in, breath heaving. He gets up and ignites his lightsaber. Cidius, Anakin, where are they? What's going on here? He remembers everything. The Sith scream, his lifelong friends dying. Cidius, Anakin's betrayal. That mother. But somehow he's still here. Thoughts run through Mace's mind. Why is he here? How is he here? Where is he? Is this the afterlife? He sets out through the Jedi temple, searching for any clues when he sees Yoda. Mace, troubled you look. Done meditating so soon? I don't know. Master, I feel like I had a most terrible session. My head feels clouded. Tell me, what's on the agenda for today? >> Let it pass, you must. larger matter at hand. There is Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Returning from Naboo, they are >> returning from Nabou. Mace realizes it now. He was sent back in time. No, he was revived somehow and sent back to the beginning to where it all started. He can't come to any other conclusion. This must be the will of the Force. An atonement or a fixing of what's happened. Either way, he knows what he must do. Cidius will pay. A few hours later, Queen Amadala, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan return to the Jedi Temple with a young boy in tow. However, while the Jedi Council goes into session, Mace Wu takes a trip to the Naboo senatorial quarters and casually walks in on a conversation going on between Queen Amadala and Senator Palpatine, the soon-to-be Chancellor. >> You could call for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum. >> Queen Amadala, let me assure you that isn't necessary. I've already highlighted to the Chancellor the gravity of the situation. The Jedi will ensure Naboo will be freed from Trade Federation control. They've gone too far this time. >> Thank you, Master Jedi. I can't begin to express how happy I am to hear that. >> Queen Amadala, if I may, what could the Jedi truly do in the face of the Trade Federation's Droid Army? Violence is not the answer. We must solve this diplomatically. And if diplomacy doesn't work, you'll be able to count on us, my lady. Mace Windu bows and begins to leave the room. A smirk on his face as he departs. Can't believe I didn't see through that cheesy ass facade sooner. But damn, it'll feel good making it fall apart. Mace returns just in time to receive Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. While the council is surprised to hear about the Sith and this boy, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Wu knows exactly the situation they're in and who this boy is. Anakin Skywalker, the one who betrayed him, betrayed the Jedi, the Republic, everything they stood for. Yet, he knows the same way he feels toward him now. The disdain and distrust he's always held for Skywalker. It's the exact reason for Anakin's fall, for why Anakin didn't trust him. He grits his teeth at the thought, cursing the Force for putting him through this. But he knows it's the correct path. My only conclusion can be that it was a Sith Lord. Impossible. The Sith have been extinct for a millennia, masters. We must take this seriously. Qui-Gon has no reason to lie about a Sith Lord returning. As ridiculous as it may sound, we must be vigilant. Agree with you. I do, Master Wu. Hard to see the dark side is. Qui-Gon, do you have something else to report? Yes, Master. I've encountered a virgin in the force. A virgin? H. Yes, a boy. His cells have the highest concentration of metlorans I have ever seen in a life form. It's possible he was conceived by the force. Sounds like the prophecy of the chosen one. Exactly. Master, it's no coincidence we crossed paths with him. First he says he's encountered a Sith Lord. Now he says he's found the chosen one. Masters, this is ridiculous. The ramblings of a madman. It might as well be. No, I don't think so. My instincts are telling me Qui-Gon speaks the truth. We cannot sit here in complacency and not take this seriously. Bring him to us. Test him. We will. >> Meanwhile, the Senate is in session to hear the Queen of Doo speak on her current situation. Palpatine believes he's set this up perfectly to become Chancellor. Chancellor Valorum will not be able to satisfy the queen. His allies will make sure of it. >> I come to you under the gravest of circumstances. Noo system has been invaded by the droid armies of the reject. There is no proof. This is incredible. We recommend a commission be sent to Naboo to ascertain the truth. >> The Congress of Malister concurs with the honorable delegate from the Trade Federation. A commission must be appointed. >> Just then, a senatorial pod hums to life and takes center stage. However, it is not a senator who addresses the chamber. >> Senators, senators, this is highly unnecessary. Members of the Jedi Order, the Chancellor's representatives were on the planet with Queen Amadala. They rescued her from the grips of the Trade Federation's army. An invasion did in fact occur. >> Master Wu, how good of you to join us. >> This is outrageous. This is a senatorial hearing, not a Jedi proceeding. We cannot simply take the word of this Jedi. He should not even be at this hearing. Was he even on Naboo? The Chancellor decided the Jedi Order's information on the situation was pertinent to the proceeding. We come at his behest and to serve the Republic as best we can. >> Rumblings begin in the Senate. They cannot believe a Jedi was asked to speak during such an event. The bureaucrats, particularly Masamada, begins whispering into Chancellor Valorum's ear. >> Jedi Master, while I thank you for coming, the point is conceited. Queen Amadala, will you, Chancellor, I must disagree with you. Why send the Jedi as your representatives if you cannot trust our word? Is it not our jurisdiction as peacekeepers of the Republic? Point taken. Master Jedi, would you volunteer yourselves to ascertain the validity of these findings once more and take action as necessary? We do. Chancellor Orum attempts to ask the Queen of Nibou if this satisfies her problem, but the pot is already descended back into place. The young queens stormed out of the senatorial hearing in frustration. Your majesty, please wait. I will not stand by while my people suffer at the hands of the Trade Federation. It is clear to me that the Republic no longer functions. I can only hope the Jedi keep their word and solve this situation for us. Palpatine seethes at the reality of the situation. There's no stopping her. How could this have happened? His plan should have been foolproof. There are larger forces at play here, and he suspects it to be the Jedi. Mace Wu, not knowing what to do, he contacts his master. Lord Cidius, how is the plan unfolding? >> Master, our plans are being foiled. There is a Jedi, Mace Wu. He has been a thorn in our side at every turn. He stopped the call for no confidence. Our chances of having the chancellorship are dwindling. You've let emotions cloud you again, my apprentice. Did I not warn you about the unpredictability of the Jedi? especially that one. >> I underestimated him. I focused too much on the queen, on manipulating her plea into the vote of no confidence. But Wind, he anticipated it. And now, instead of division, they stand united. Worse, she's placed her faith in them. Then pivot. Power never flows in one direction. You must learn to ride its currents. If the queen turns to the Jedi, let the Jedi be the ones who fail her. >> You mean let them intervene on Naboo? >> Yes. Let them walk into war unprepared. The Federation will not fold to diplomacy. And if the Jedi bleed, so too does their influence, especially Windows. Let him taste defeat. >> And the queen, >> if she survives, she will no longer be a servant of the Senate. She'll become a weapon forged by failure that can be turned to our purpose. >> And we do. >> Watch him, measure his reach, and when the time is right, remove him. >> The transmission ends. Cidius lowers his head, his eyes hardening. Across Coruscant, the gears of power grind forward. And this time, he'll make sure they crush everything in their path. Coruscant, city lights, and the night sky glow outside the tall windows of the Jedi Council chambers. After testing the boy, the Jedi Council sit in a circle with Anakin, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan in the center. Is he to be trained then? >> Clouded this boy's future is. The boy is too old, Qui-Gon. The council cannot in good conscience vote to train him, which is why I've told the Jedi Council that I will train the boy. This Sith revealing themselves at the same time as this boy crossing paths with us is far too convenient to just be a coincidence. Thank you for seeing the validity in this situation. Master Windu, that is not all. The queen has decided to return to Naboo. I volunteered the Jedi Council to act as peacekeepers and control the situation. However, this will widen the confrontation and potentially draw out the queen's Sith attacker. Go with the queen to Naboo and be ready to face the Sith warrior. I've instructed Master Dooku to join you. His saber skills are some of the best in the order. His presence will be invaluable. May the Force be with you all. >> Mace understands full well the future and importance of Dooku. He's already stopped Cidius from becoming Chancellor. Now he needs to stop Dooku from turning to the dark side. If he can stop the death of his old Padawan Qui-Gon, he believes Dooku will not turn. If he's in talks with the Sith Lord already, then putting him in this situation will directly put him at odds with Cidius. But Mace knows better than to simply leave the situation to chance. He too will secretly go to Nebu and observe the situation as it unfolds. It'll also be great training for his new Padawan, Anakin Skywalker. As they reach Nibou, the queen finds herself new allies in the Gungans, and they develop a plan. The Gungans will draw out the droid army in the open field while the Queen's crew and the Jedi slip inside to capture the Visroy, giving undeniable proof of the Federation's invasion. Qui-Gon, make sure you stay near me at all times. The Sith are not to be trifled with. They are more powerful than the Council would have you believe. >> Surely, the Sith Lord will have no chance against the three of us. >> Do not underestimate the Sith. Stay close and take this seriously. >> As the Jedi and the Queen's men race through the palace, Mace Wu and Anakin follow in tow. Rangan, as we venture through here, there's something you can do. >> Me? >> Yes. I've had a shatterpoint. >> What's a shatterpoint? >> Moments in the force where everything converges. One action, one decision can cause everything to collapse or be held together. I'll teach it to you in the future. For now, listen to what I have to say. There will be a cruiser in the hangar bay. It'll have a blue and white droid inside of it. The same one from Naboo. R2-D2. Qui-Gon told me about your pod racing. Think of it as the same thing. Once the attack begins, fly out to their control vessel in orbit and find a way to destroy it from the inside. Feel the force. Trust it. Let it guide you. I have faith in you, Anakin. You won't fail. >> Yes, master. >> Meanwhile, in the heart of the doors burst open. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Dooku lead a raid assault with the Naboo soldiers. They disable droids, press forward, and then the hanger goes still. Darth Maul steps forward from the shadows, cloaked in black, horns silhouetted against the light. His yellow eyes burn with hatred. He steps forward slowly, drawing back his robe. A hiss and a snap. His double-bladed lightsaber ignites with a ferocious whirl. The hum fills the air like a threat. A double-bladed saber. How intriguing. But you should not have come here, Sith Lord. Leave while you still can. Fools. You Jedi are no match for the dark side. The Jedi ignite their blades green, blue, and Dooku's curved hilt to blue. Without a word, Maul sprints forward, a cyclone of hatred and speed. Maul and the Jedi collide in the center of the hallway. The clash is violent. Sparks fly as Maul spins his saber like a rotor, striking and twisting midair with feral precision. He nearly catches Obi-Wan's shoulder, but Qui-Gon intercepts with a block. Dooku circles, elegant and calculated, striking with classical Makashi form. Maul's savagery contrasts the Ultra Jedi's precision. Maul uses his foot to kick Obi-Wan into a pillar, then vaults over Qui-Gon, striking from behind. Qui-Gon twists and parries, pushing him back. Obi-Wan rejoins, their blades now pushing Maul into a retreat. The red and blue green blades illuminate the corridor in a strobing dance of light and violence. Maul snarls, pushing the Jedi toward the open throne room. With a force shove, he knocks Obi-Wan aside and rolls backwards onto a staircase, gaining high ground. He roars and charges again, using a flurry of spinning attacks. Dooku catches his blade mid spin and counters with a blinding repost. Maul barely dodges. The battle spills into the royal antichamber. Pillars topple, tapestries burn, and stone is scored with every missed swing. The force flows violently in the room. Telekinetic blasts, shves, and saber throws. Then a sudden chilling stillness. A dark presence arrives. Darth Cidius appears at top the throne room steps, slowly descending with hands folded in his sleeves. His black cloak seems to absorb the light. >> What a pleasant surprise, Master Dooku. Now we see where your loyalties lie. The Jedi turn confused at these comments towards Dooku, but there is no time for discussion. As the Sith Lord raises a hand and lightning crackles at his fingertips, Dooku jumps in the way to block with his lightsaber. At the same time, Maul sees his opportunity to strike and advances on Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. He likes the odds much better than before. But from behind, a new voice echoes. Hello there. Wu drops into the chamber from above. Saber drawn, he lands beside Dooku, blade igniting in a flash of violet. I figured you'd pull some like this. Cidious. Master Window, it's good to see you. It seems you know too much. Darth Cidius pauses on the staircase, his piercing gaze shifting, not to the Jedi, but to a small, discreet recording bot nestled behind a broken pillar. His smile fades. Clever, Master Wu. He lifts a finger. A bolt of Sith lightning arcs across the room, vaporizing the recording device in a flash of blue and fire, but not clever enough. With a shriek of dark power, Cidius launches himself down the steps, robes snapping behind him like wings. He collides with Mace Wu and Count Dooku. Crimson Blade clashing against Violent Blue. At the other end of the chamber, Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn engage in a fierce exchange while Obi-Wan flanks and darts in from the side. Maul spins his double-bladed saber in an arc, forcing Qui-Gon to his knees. But Obi-Wan slides under the blade, slashing at Maul's legs. The Sith flips back, barely evading a fatal strike. He's overcommitting now, Obi-Wan. The Jedi pinser him. Obi-Wan blocks a vertical strike while Qui-Gon drives his green saber through Maul's midsection. Maul gasps, red eyes wide with shock. Maul collapses, dead. The double blade clatters lifeless to the floor, but triumph doesn't last. Across the chamber, Cidius becomes a whirlwind of devastation. With brutal precision, he shatters pillars, collapses balconies, and incinerates walls with the force and lightning bolts. The entire palace groans under the pressure. Dooku twists his blade, fencing with elegant precision, trying to outmatch Cidius's rage. But the Sith Lord is too fast, his form, not beautiful, but relentless, jagged, like the dark side itself given form. Cidius parries Dooku's attack with one hand and strikes low with the other. A quick brutal stab in the chest. >> Grace, don't let him win. A pity. You would have been useful. Cidius shoves Dooku's body aside and hurls a crackling bolt of lightning at Mace, sending him crashing through his support beam. Stone rains down as the roof starts to collapse. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan rush into the debris filled chamber, lightsabers raised, but Cidius is already leaping back through the falling rubble, vanishing into the shadows and the palace's crumbling infrastructure. He escapes. The silence is broken only by the distant rumble of battle still waging outside. Smoke coils upward. Dooku lies still. Maul, lifeless. The Jedi regroup, bruised, bloodied, but alive. The cost of the battle is clear. On the bright side, just as Mace foretold, Anakin was able to destroy the droid command ship, allowing Naboo to capture the Viceroy in victory. Unfortunately, Mace was unable to get any footage or proof of Palpatine. Even worse, Palpatine used the battle to his advantage, discredit the Jedi, and the Chancellor who supported them. The chamber buzzes with tension. Thousands of floating pods hum gently as senators from across the galaxy murmur, whisper, and argue. At the center, Chancellor Valorum stands solemnly at his podium, visibly strained. On one of the rising platforms, Senator Palpatine of Nibou rises slowly. His tone is smooth, sorrowful, but beneath the words, razor sharp intent. Esteeemed colleagues, today I do not speak as a senator alone, but as a servant of a world in mourning. Seed, our proud capital lies in ruin. Its palace shattered, its government shaken, its people frightened and displaced. A hollow projector activates above his pod, displaying hovering images of the ruined palace, crumbling towers, and burntout chambers. Gasps ripple across the chamber. I must ask, where was the chancellor's strength? Where was the authority to demand the Trade Federation withdraw immediately before warships landed? Before blaster fire echoed through the royal halls? Valorum leans forward, interjecting, voice shaking. >> This situation required delicate handling. We avoided escalation for the sake of the Republic's unity. >> Delicate? Chancellor, your hesitation invited occupation. Your silence forced war, and your reliance on Jedi intervention brought ruin upon your own constituents. Murmurss grow louder. Several senators nod. We do not deny your service. But leadership now more than ever must be decisive, strong, willing to meet crisis with resolve, not procedure. Therefore, he looks across the chamber slowly, deliberately. I move for a vote of no confidence in Chancellorum. Silence. Then one pause rises, then another, then dozens. Masamata slams his staff to restore order. >> Order. Order. All in favor of the motion, prepare to cast your votes. >> The screen blinks. Vote in progress. Palpatine sits slowly, hands folded, expression unreadable, as the seeds of his ascension begin to take root on the ashes of the Mace can't believe what's happened thus far. Even after knowing what will happen and doing everything to intervene against Palpatine at every turn, he somehow still managed to secure the Chancellorship. He begins to question why the Force even brought him back, why he was here. He meditates on this, trying to see the truth of the Force's message. Then it hits him. He must atone for what he's done. And the way he does it is not through sabotaging Palpatine, but by through his treatment of Anakin, through his nurturing of the chosen one. 10 years later. The wind whistles over the quiet courtyard of Coruscant. Bathed in the late afternoon sun, the hum of lightsabers echo rhythmically through the space. Mace Wu, now older, but sharper, watches with intensity as Anakin Skywalker spars with a droid wielding two practice blades. Control the angle, not just the strength. You're not beating it by force. You're beating it by understanding it. Anticipation over aggression. Again, Anakin grits his teeth and re-engages the training droid. He spins under one arm, disarms it with a wellplaced elbow, and slices through its chest or the flash of his blue blade. The droid crashes to the floor. That one was faster. I almost didn't. You hesitated. That hesitation will get you killed or worse, someone else. Anakin looks down, absorbing the lesson. His face bears the confidence of a skilled warrior, but also the weight of expectations. But your instincts were good. You moved with purpose, not emotion. That's progress. A voice from the temple entrance cuts through the quiet. Now, only if you taught him to be polite to his elders, master window. Mace doesn't look back, but there's a ghost of a smile on his face. He's polite enough for someone who crashed a starf fighter into a droid control ship at 9 years old. I don't know. Seems like he's more your style than mine. Stubborn. A little reckless. I'm right here, you know. Good. Then listen. You're powerful, Anakin. That much is clear. But power without patience is a weapon pointed at yourself. He's learning faster than I expected and more receptive than I ever gave him credit for before. There is a pause. Mace looks at Anakin. Truly looks at him. The future the Force showed me was built on our failure to trust you. I won't make that mistake again. Anakin blinks, surprised, even shaken. It's the first time Mace has spoken to him this way. >> I appreciate that, Master. You've changed. The Mace, I remember, was quicker to dismiss the unknown. I died. That tends to change a man. They fall silent at that. The wind stirs the courtyard trees, the only sound between them. Mace steps forward and activates his saber once more. Anakin, we're advancing your training. You've mastered Sessu, Gem, so and Ataro. Now we start vapad. Anakin's brows left. Even Qui-Gon tilts his head. You're teaching him vapad. I thought you said no one else could wield it without falling to the dark. He's the chosen one. If anyone can survive the edge of chaos and not be consumed by it, it's him. He turns to Anakin. But understand this, vape is not a gift. It is a storm. You do not control it. You ride it. If you give in, if anger becomes your guide, you fall. If control is your anchor, you fly. Then let's fly. May smiles for real now, igniting his blade once more. He nods. Anakin raises his saber. Come at me, Skywalker. Show me what 10 years has taught you. The spar ignites into a fast-paced sequence. Blue and Violet clash in perfect tempo. Anakin striking with speed and precision. Mace countering with graceful lethality. Qui-Gon watches them both and for the first time in a long time, he feels hope not just for Anakin, but for the order. Evening light filters through the stained glass windows of the Jedi temple. The council chamber is quiet but tense. Mace Wu stands at the center, surrounded by seated masters. Yoda, Plun, Kiarimundi, Depabila, Luminara, Uneli, and now Qui-Gon Jinn. The air vibrates with urgency. Time is running out. We've waited long enough. This is around the time it all began. The time when the Sith made their move in my timeline, the beginning of the Clone Wars. If we're to stop history from repeating itself, then the time to act is now. And yet, after all these years, we've still no clear charge to level against Chancellor Palpatine. No act of treason, no order to arrest him, only theories. >> We've been careful. Too careful. >> We have more than theories. He gestures to a projection device at the center of the room. A blue hollow pulse flickers, emitting distorted audio, faint, garbled, but chilling. >> Yes, master. The Jedi are still blinded. They suspect nothing. >> Good dear, let them drift. When the time is right, we shall strike. >> The transmission cuts static. The chamber is silent. So, it's true. He speaks with a Sith Lord. >> We've enhanced the audio everywhere we can, but the identity of his master remains hidden, shielded even from the Force. Palpatines's connection to the Sith is real. But exposing him publicly without revealing the true master won't destroy the Sith. It'll only force them deeper into the shadows. >> So, we don't act against Palpatine. Even now >> we act, but not with a saber to his throat. Not yet. We use him to lead us to his master. Because if we strike too soon, the real Sith Lord vanishes, and all this has been for nothing. A shadow within a shadow, clearer it becomes. Then we trace the war they were preparing. The plan, the army, Kamino. The words hang in the air like a blade. I remember an incident. One clone malfunctioned, killed the Jedi without warning. Another shouted about chips in his head before collapsing. We must investigate if they're real. These inhibitor chips designed to make the clones turn on us. If we can prove this, we'll finally have something on Palpatine to use and draw out his master. If true, the entire army could be compromised. Control the army, they do. Control the war, they will. Which is why we can't wait any longer. We go to Kamino quietly, investigate, track the creation of the clones, and follow the credits. Someone is behind this. Someone who thinks they've already won. And if we uncover them, >> then we bring the full force of the Jedi down on the Sith and end this before the war begins. A long pause. Then Yoda slowly rises, eyes full of solemn gravity. Be careful of Sith retaliation at all times. We must go. You will. Mace, Qui-Gon, and Plun. Bring Skywalker as well. Trusted you are discovered. This shadow must be or doomed we all may be. The council nods. No more waiting. The Force has spoken. Rain lashes across the endless sea. Lightning dances in the distance. A Jedi transport pierces through the clouds and lands on the elevated platforms of Tupaca City. The doors open. Jedi Master Mace Wu, Plcun, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Anakin Skywalker step out into the storm. Camino and guards await them, flanking Prime Minister Lamasu. Welcome, masters. We've been expecting your check-in. It has been many years since the Jedi last visited. We're here to inspect the clones privately. Of course. This way, please. The group is led down pristine white corridors. Clones in various stages of development float in stasis tubes. Rows of troopers march in unison on drill floors beyond observation windows. They're identical. Thousands of them. >> An army bred for war, yet born in peace. >> Peace never needed this many soldiers. The masters are brought to a pristine chamber. A clone soldier sits silently, shirtless on a diagnostic bed. Medical scanners hum softly. The Jedi circle the table as Lamasu speaks to a Kamino and medical technician in hushed tones. >> This is Alpha 17, one of our earliest Alpha class batches. If there's something to be found, he would be ideal. Let's find out. Permission to begin the scan. Mace nods. Anakin approaches and activates a medical scanner. A beam washes over the clone's cranium. A red anomaly pings on the screen. There's a foreign object embedded near the temporal lobe. Something surgically placed. Is it transmitting? No, it's dormant for now. Mace leans over the display. Extract it. That would be highly irregular. Master Jedi. >> So is raising an army without the Jedi Council's knowledge. >> We will take full responsibility for the clone safety. Proceed, Skywalker. Anakin uses the force and precision surgical tools to extract the small biochip. He sets it in a sterile case and plugs it into a reader. As data streams in, the Jedi goes silent. It's coded in Kamino. The screen decodes partially. A list of protocols appears. The Jedi lean closer. One in particular catches their eye. >> Order 66. >> Orders for the clones to turn on us. There's more. Contingencies for martial law. political purges, civilian lockdown, suppression of the Jedi. This isn't just military. This is a total shift in galactic control. We need to take this back to the council. Devise a plan to stop it. Let's move fast, then. Suddenly, Mace freezes. His head turns toward the corridor. His eyes narrow. Something's wrong. Plo's hand drifts toward his lightsaber. >> I feel it, too. >> I felt this before on Naboo. The lights in the corridor flicker. A low humming echoes down the pristine hall. And then so the truth finally bubbles to the surface. From the shadows, Darth Cidius steps forward, his hood raised, his eyes glowing like embers. Beside him, tall and cloaked, walks a figure of even deeper menace. Darth Pllegus the wise. His presence an icy wind through the force. His face half shrouded in an obsidian mask is lined with ancient scars. He speaks slowly. You should have stayed in the shadows, Master Wu. But then I suppose the Jedi never learn. >> Exactly what he wanted. >> A Jedi wishing for his own funeral. Allow me the pleasure, then. We built this republic. And now, once we're rid of you, we shall rebuild it. Mace, Wu, Qui-Gon, Plun, and Anakin ignite their lightsabers. The clone specimen rises from the table, confused. Security alarms blare through Topeka City. Camino and guards scatter. Then, let me end your rain before it begins. Lightning lashes across the watery skies outside as the battle erupts in a burst of lightning and fury. Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker charge Cidius. Behind them, Qui-Gon Jinn and Plun meet the towering menace of Darth Plegus. Twin DS explode across the room. Blue and Violet blades slash against Crimson. Sparks flash. Thunder cracks. The sterile hall is instantly consumed in fire and fury. Mace leads with vapead, a storm of controlled aggression. His saber strikes in unpredictable angles, whirling with deadly precision. Anakin moves alongside him like a shadow made of rage. His form five blows landing with monstrous power before he begins with vapad as well. Cidius backpedals at first, fending off each attack with razor thin parries and counters. But he's pushed onto the defensive, his grin faltering. Across the room, Pllegus stands like a monument of death. Qui-Gon strikes with practiced calm, his style more grounded, deliberate. Plcun flows with quick strikes, fierce and relentless. Pllegus counters with impossible speed. His blade becomes a dark ribbon, whipping through the air. A single brutal sweep catches Qui-Gon off guard. His saber arm is sheared cleanly at the elbow. He falls back with a groan, crumpling near the control panels. Out of the fight, Plaggus pivots to face PL alone. The Caldor meets him with a fierce barrage. Fury in his motion. Back in the main chamber, Cidius summons dark power with the defeat of Qui-Gon. With a burst of crimson lightning, he separates Mace and Anakin, but they recover quickly. Mace absorbs the energy through Vapad, redirecting it in a stunning arc that lets Anakin dive low. Together, they twist around Cidius. Mace's blade faints high, a brilliant skyward arc. Cidius lifts his guard, leaving his lower half open. Anakin dives under, sweeping low, slicing through both of Cidius's knees. The Sith Lord screams as his legs collapse beneath him. He falls broken, but not dead. Before he can conjure another wave of dark power, Mace drives his purple saber directly into Cidius's chest. The light dies from his eyes. The body slumps, smoldering. I can't tell you how good it feels to finally kill that [ __ ] But across the room, a surge of violet energy erupts. Plaggus has disarmed Plcun, and with one devastating blast of Sith lightning, he finds the fracture point in the Kaldor's mask, sending a shattering pulse through it. PL reels, sparks flying from his breathing unit, collapsing with smoke rising from his robes. Now only Mace and Anakin remained. Plaggus turns slow and calculating. His robe glides across the scorched floor. The two Jedi flank him, but Pllegus is not Cidious. He moves like water through shadows. The duo hold the line, bracing and countering every strike Plaggus throws in their way. Mace and Anakin's vape pad is proving paramount. The duo try the same move they defeated Cidius with. But when Anakin dives low, Plaggus jumps, kicking Anakin in the face, and on the way down spins and slashes Mace in the ribs, slashing clean through his midsection. >> No. >> Mace falls to one knee. The Jedi Master throws his saber to Anakin before collapsing to the floor. You can do it, Anakin. Defeat him. Anakin freezes, eyes wide, but only for a moment. He ignites both his and his master's saber and lunges at Plaggus. Pllegus is fast, but Anakin's power is volcanic now. Unshackled, Anakin is fighting on the very edge of Vapad, swallowing all the dark energy he can fathom to meet Pllegus' strike. Swallowing all the dark energy he can fathom to meet Pllegus strike for strike. Their blades meet in a flurry of blinding attacks. Anakin's blue and purple sabers clash with Pllegus' crimson blade, as if fireworks were going off throughout the fight. The ground trembles beneath them as they tear through the walls and bulkheads. Outside the storm rages harder, as if echoing their fury. Suddenly, movement from the edge of the battlefield. A charred shaking hand rises. Plcun with every ounce of will lifts his palm, conjuring the last of his strength. Golden light bursts from his fingertips. Forced judgment. The beam strikes Plaggus in the back. He stumbles. Anakin seizes the moment. He disarms Pllegus with his saber and cleaves upward with Mace's saber in one final arc, slicing clean through Pllegus' neck. The Sith Lord's head appears to spin in slow motion before crashing, toppling across the floor. Silence. The rain outside seems to pause. Kamino's corridors flicker with emergency light. Smoke rises from the walls. Anakin stands in the center of the wreckage, exhausted, but victorious. Behind him, Plcun slumps again, unconscious but alive. The Sith are gone. Anakin kneels beside Mace window. His robes are soaked in blood and rainwater. His torso badly wounded, breath shallow. Mace opens his eyes barely. Still standing, Skywalker, because of you, master. You're training. >> Mace tries to nod, but the effort drains him. The darkness, it finally ends here. But only if you keep it from rising again. I will, master. I swear. Don't worry about me, Anakin. I've already died once. Dying a second time isn't so bad. You can't die, Master. Not yet. >> Mace looks him in the eye. His breathing grows heavier. You're more than the prophecy, Anakin. More than just power. What matters now is the choices you make, every day. I'm proud of you. Thank you for believing in me, Master. I'll make sure this peace remains. Then the force is with us after all. His hand goes limp in Anakin's grip. The storm continues to rage, but for a moment Anakin sits in perfect stillness, surrounded by fire, rain, and the end of a war 10 years in the making. He rises slowly, looks to the broken hallway where Plaggus fell, then turns his eyes skyward. Black clouds part for just a moment. Light breaks through. One year later, the city is calm for the first time in years. Shuttles glide overhead like whispers. At the base of the temple steps stands a statue of Master Mace Wu. Tall carved from obsidian and kyber etched stone cloaked in traditional Jedi robes. His saber held across his chest in a symbol of protection. The plaque beneath reads, "Guardian of balance, defender of peace, hero of the Republic." Around the statue, civilians, senators, and the Jedi gather in quiet reflection. The year anniversary of Ma's death. Anakin Skywalker, cloaked in brown robes, stands at the front of the crowd, arms folded, face unreadable. The council stands nearby. Yoda, Obi-Wan, Plun, Qui-Gon, Kiyotti Mundi, each touched by the weight of legacy. Yoda steps forward. Much Mace gave, much he left behind. In his fall rose hope, he looks towards Anakin. And in you, Skywalker, balance found its path. >> The Jedi Council chambers are filled. Masters seated in each of the seats. A purple lightsaber maces etched into the floor in the middle of the room. Anakin Skywalker sits among them, clad in Jedi robes. His rank, master. A seat earned, not given. As we look to the future, it must begin with those we guide. Trained younglings must be. and trained well. >> The chamber doors hiss open. Ahsokaano enters, disciplined, yet still bearing her fierce independence. She kneels. >> Masters, >> this one is yours, Master Skywalker. >> Ahsoka looks up at Anakin, her eyes shining. >> I'm ready for your training, Master. >> Well, let's get to it, then. You've got a long road ahead of you if you want to follow in his footsteps. >> How about yours instead? His shoes are way too big to fill. Anakin and the council laugh and nod in solemn approval.
