score several victories alongside Obi-Wan with his success Anakin is soon given the opportunity to undergo the trials of the Jedi which he passes allowing him to become a Jedi Knight but when he arrives on corusant he is surprised to find mace waiting for him the Jedi Master simply says it's time to begin his training this training takes them across several worlds deemed Force nexuses where the power of the force flows strongly but mace is careful to select worlds that lean towards the dark side at first this training is just like those of the Jedi a combination of meditation and lightsaber practice Anakin goes through this process But as time goes on feels a nagging sensation in the back of his mind like a faint whisper calling to him trying to pull his Focus away from what he's doing and prying into his deepest thoughts mace explains that the dark side is trying to take control rather than dissipate it like Yoda or ignore it like Obi-Wan mace teaches Anakin to let it enter his body the key to VAP ad is to never indulge in it being surrounded by dark energies mean it is always there but through Focus he can ensure it never gathers strength so as it enters his body mace then ignites his lightsaber and shows a series of lightsaber Strokes more aggressive and more powerful than he's seen from other attacks he explains that he allows the dark energ to leave through these movements Anakin tries his best to mimic it though the dark influence is strong here far more powerful than he expected it takes him many tries to manage it mace is there guiding him through expelling the energy through lightsaber strikes breathing exercises or using the force however he keeps his eyes close on Anakin and his hand is never far from his lightsaber should something go wrong the young Jedi does initially struggle due to him already having attachments and many negative emotions something that doesn't escape mesa's attention Anakin concentration is key to this technique and attachments can be your biggest flaw your attention must be only on the force 100% of the time or you will let the dark side seep into you now are you certain you can handle that Anakin remains Resolute and continues to study all around him the force swirls like a Whirlpool it speaks to him sometimes in gentle voices that tempt him away other times through fear with howling screams of those he loves and others through commands that promise him power but over time he learns to ignore it and begins making progress seeing the Improvement mace takes Anakin to planets closer and closer to the dark side from DEA to damir in between those training sessions Anakin has ample opportunity to put his technique into practice as he leads his forces into battle against the CIS although the Droids do not have Force energy the actions affect him the destruction and callousness they display to the civilian population continue to anger Anakin he sees the suffering around him and feels the force cry out for justice rather than ignore it Anakin uses the training of VAP ad to harness this anger in actions it is a philosophy he understands he directs these efforts to helping the people whether it's defeating those who harm them or urging the Republic in jedite to take action mace sees this as progress because soon Anakin becomes Adept at letting his emotions and dark energy out there he still faces off against dark side wielders like Ventress and Dooku and while he cannot defeat them Anakin is far from helpless whenever he fights one of these Fallen Jedi he looks into their yellow eyes seeing only the darkness inside and realizing just how dangerous this power is it is a constant lesson to him to avoid the Temptations in the force it is a lesson he takes to heart too because Anakin soon Rises to become one of the best Jedi in the war while many struggle to adapt to their roles as military leaders he is well suited for it his creativity and unconventional tactics allow him to gain the upper hand in many battles while his bravery and Mastery of the force rival even season Jedi mace continues to warn him and occasionally trains with him to reinforce these ideas but there is a hint of pride in the older Jedi's eyes as he watches Anakin though he's not officially his Padawan mace can't help but feel like a master to him in some ways Anakin become the Jedi that the galaxy has been longing for while still focused on the war his compassion and willingness to channel the force into action his admirable with time Anakin begins to surpass even some of the CIS leaders in fighting prowess Ventress often finds herself outmatched by Anakin and the duels between him and Dooku become increasingly one-sided as the Jedi gains strength even in battle these changes are more dramatic as it becomes a force of nature cutting through swarms of droids with ease sometimes Anakin does not even require an army to join him as he can sweep through Droid single-handedly the nervousness he felt to face Count Dooku all those years ago vanishes as Anakin regains confidence and now looks forward to the day he can beat him he gets his chance towards the latter half of the Clone Wars when he and Padme uncover a plot to turn the gungans against nibu while Padme and jarjar deal with Grievous Anakin chases after the traitorous Minister who tried this coup and follows him to an abandoned Temple when he arrives the minister rlu is dead on the ground with Dooku standing over his corpse his lightsaber still ignited ah young Skywalker it appears you are too late to bring appear behind Anakin and ignite their stabs they surround him as Dooku gets into a defensive stance all right the fun way it is before the droids can surround him Anakin surges forward and opens the battle with a series of lightning strikes against Dooku as always the Count's form is impeccable as he blocks each attack but he feels more strengthen them than before Anakin is trained well for this battle once the strikes weaken Dooku returns with his offensive his lightsaber flashing across different angles before suddenly pulling back at a thrust aimed at his heart but at the last second Anakin's lightsaber slides down and pushes the Count's blade aside he looks up in Surprise and feels his annoyance grow at the Jedi's cocky smile Dooku growls and Strikes at him again his movements a blur as he commits to offense holding nothing back but still Anakin doesn't seem to falter he can feel the frustration in these attacks and each time their blades connect he feels a surge of power that is until the magnaguards come from behind and strike him with their stabs Anakin crumples to the ground as Dooku smiles and prepares to finish him off playing dirty are we he tries to stand prompting the magnaguards to come at him again but he unleashes a force push that sends them sliding back his lightsaber comes up and blocks the swing he drives dugu's lightsaber to the ground and gives him a palm thrust that sends him flying back Anakin turns to the magnaguards duu doesn't fall over allowing him to see Anakin cutting through the droids they don't stand a chance as he rushes at them slicing their defenses in a matter of seconds all four of them Dro to the ground leaving them alone there is a hint of worry in the Count's eyes as Anakin leaps at him his lightsaber flashing in an overhead swing Dooku barely manages to block this attack turning it aside and then trying to take his head off with a back swing Anakin smirks and leans back as he Ducks under the blow then writes himself as he does his leg jerks up and knocks count duu off balance as Anakin stabs down striking his side the count drops to his side and barely blocks a second with the force while he tries to catch his breath Anakin's lightsaber Twirls around and faints toward him when Dooku moves to defend he feels his knee crashing against the Count's stomach sending him to his knees before he can even glance up Anakin's lightsaber is pointed at his throat it seems you've lost this becomes one of the Republic's greatest victories over the CIS as not only do they capture General Grievous but also Count Dooku in a single stroke they sever the heads of the CIS military and political leadership for a moment there is absolute chaos as they are ill equipped to replace either of these leaders leaving them paralyzed the Republic wastes no time in pressuring the offensive driving the CIS into full Retreat while the pair are brought over to corasan to face trial the full realization brings out a charge in Dooku as he realizes how much trouble he's in to everyone's surprise he claims he is willing to testify under the condition that he is placed under Jedi protection and is not sent to a regular prison while an odd request they are willing to comply citing how Dooku is a former Jedi to justify this action when he arrives in the Jedi Temple mace is waiting for Anakin to escort his former friend into a cell well done Skywalker this war may end because of your actions if you believe that then you are mistaken this clone war is just the opening act the real action Is Yet To Come enough lies it is beneath you you're right it is beneath me that is why I am telling the truth there is much you don't understand if you think I am the Mastermind behind all of this then you are wrong I only control one side there is someone else who controls the other Anakin's eyes narrow suspiciously as he hears those words something about them seems to ring true he senses no anger no deception people in the Senate powerful people who helped me orchestrate this war chief among them was my master Darth cius who is he Dooku leans closer and smiles starting to whisper er a name into his fear Anakin's eyes widen and he stares at the count searching his face for a hint of deception do you sense dishonesty in my words no no I don't then you have your answer I must confront him immediately you shall do no such thing he has become a master at hiding in the shadows go after him now and he shall slink back there if you want to defeat him you must wait for him to strike how the knowledge I possess is too dangerous I suspect he shall personally see that I do not live through the night in the dead of the evening a figure slips through the darkness creeping through the empty Halls of the temple and avoiding the handful of Temple guards as they make their way down to the detention center but as he finds dukus Cel the figure finds another prisoner in their place suddenly the lights flicker to life and two figures appear here and ignite their lightsabers sorry visiting hours are closed but you're free to stay in One of These Fine cells the figure throws his hands forward unleashes a burst of lightning towards them mace plants his feet on the ground and blocks the attack but Anakin leaps over it Landing behind the attacker and Swinging his lightsaber as soon as their blades connect Anakin feels a surge of power it is more dark energy than even Dooku and the sheer power sends him stumbling to the ground the figure takes this opportunity to throw him aside as mace comes from behind he turns just in time to block the attack but mace doesn't falter and unleashes a set of furious strikes the movements are quick and aggressive using a style that the figure isn't used to mace smiles and presses the attack but the figure then shifts fighting styles going from defensive to offensive and rushing into Ma's stab he scores a cut that runs dangerously close to his eye although mace pushes him back the attacker comes at him again his lights saber style alternates between forms and begins to push mace back it is only Anakin coming from behind that saves him the young Jedi comes from behind and forces the attacker to divide his attention as he faces both of them Anakin goes on the offensive pushing the Assassin back but as he goes to swing at his neck the figure blocks the attack and alternates fighting styles again going for lighter but faster attacks as he shifts though Anakin's fist comes forward and punches him across the face the attacker stumbles back as Anakin crosses lightsabers with him if you're willing to play dirty then I suppose I should do the same I already beat up one old man today I could do it again while the attacker May Master different lightsaber techniques Anakin decides to shift to an entirely different fighting style simple street fighting is now he adds kicks and punches to the attack these become harder for the attacker to defend allowing him to only successfully defend against mace with any consistency each blow starts to take its toll on the attacker as his movements become slower and exhaust question takes route that is until both Jedi strike at him plunging their lightsabers from opposite sides there is a faint gasp as he falls to the ground mace rips his hood off to reveal the face of Palpatine the Jedi Master gasps as he nearly drops his body no this cannot be I was worried I'd be right Dooku told me about his identity but I didn't want to believe it of all people the chancellor Anakin if Palpatine was truly behind everything there was no telling how far this corruption spread the whole Senate could be compromised whoa Master with all due respect we have Dooku he can tell us all of Palpatine's cronies and now that his master is dead he might be more willing to cooperate Anakin's words prove true as Dooku now readily agrees to testify before the Senate but before that explains everything that happened before the Jedi Council he lists down all of Palpatine's known associates and those he suspects know their PL PL mace listens to these in cold silence even as the other Jedi mutter amongst themselves but when it comes down to deliberating their course of action mace is nowhere to be seen the others just view this as shock from their Revelation however Anakin begins to feel a disturbance in the force the faint Tremors of the dark side coming from the Senate he also excuses himself and goes to investigate masam ma Admiral Tarkin Sly Moore and Palpatine's other associates are gathered in his office on his chair mace sits with his lightsaber ready I have come to bring troubling news the chancellor is dead how could that be who is responsible the dark side do not play games we want to know who killed Palpatine ask him yourself he suddenly kicks the table forward sending them scattering as he draws his lightsaber he turns to mamata First rushing at him but the doors suddenly open and Anakin leaps into the room room blocking Ma's attack Master Windu this is madness no this is Justice the dark side has been allowed to thrive in the halls of the Senate I will see it purged he tries to shove Anakin back as he advances on massam meta but Anakin keeps blocking his path intercepting each attack but mace's blows are full of power and he finds himself stumbling back seeing that Anakin will not back away mace uses the force to lock the doors as he rushes at him his life saber hacking at him with each swipe his attacks grow more aggressive Master this is murder you'll only plunge the Senate into chaos we have proof of their involvement we can have them imprisoned but mace barely hears this as he kicks Anakin in the stomach and slashes across his chest the younger Jedi barely leaps back from this from Dooku and what of those who Dooku doesn't know they will continue plotting no they all must die you're starting to sound like a Sith Lord the snarl for mace takes Anakin off guard as he barrels forward and Rams his shoulder against the younger man they both tumble over but Anakin leaps to his feet just as mace advances again flinging furniture at him the young Jedi must either Dodge these attacks or slice them apart as he slashes a table apart mace comes at him with a vicious stab his attacks feel Wilder and Anakin can feel the Primal Fury radiating from him rather than expel the dark energy it swirls around mace this is far from from a professional matter and it feels like the emotions radiating off of Dooku and Ventress whenever he dueled them this isn't the Jedi way all these years and you still haven't learned VAP pad is about expelling the darkness here in the Senate that is Darkness not a drop of it must be allowed to remain you said VAP had was about Focus walking a fine line between the light and the Darkness what is this now there is a flicker of hesitation in Ma's eyes but he continues to press his attack swinging at Anakin and knocking his lightsaber aside mace holds his weapon up to Anakin as he prepares to strike down but then the younger Jedi flicks his wrist and Ducks under the attack his lightsaber flashes and knocks Ma's weapon from his hand you said you would strike me down if I ever turned don't make me do the same to you realization seems to hold mace in place the Jedi's eyes widen and he looks at the Senators and then at Anakin he realizes what he's about to do and drops to his knees Anakin is by his side and in an instant placing a hand on his back soon after the Jedi arrive and take these Senators into custody with Dooku's testimony there is more than enough evidence to have them arrested already an investigation is being started to find the lower level spies with Palpatine dead and mamata in prison a new Chancellor is elected who begins with a serious Crackdown on corruption meanwhile mace decides that he is no no longer fit to hold the position on the Jedi Council after his brush with the dark side mace wishes to take some time to meditate and to try and clear his head away from the capital in his place He suggests Anakin Skywalker replace him that's
