What if Yoda trained Anakin Skywalker after Qui-Gon's death? Let's explore the depths of it in the video. He believed in you, Anakin. He believed you were the chosen one. And I I promised him I'd train you. >> I don't understand. He said he'd always be there. >> Ready, perhaps, but to guide the boy. You are not unstable, uncertain, powerful. That burden mine. It must be. >> You're going to train me? >> Yes. Train you? I will. But easy. This path is not. >> As the fire crackles louder, casting orange light across their faces. Anakin's expression is uncertain. Hope mingled with loss. The high windows of the Jedi Temple offer a panoramic view of Coruscant cityscape, lit in endless golden veins of speeders and towers. The circular chamber is dim, lit only by the blue glow of the hovering chairs and faint moonlight. Tension thickens the air. Yoda sits cross-legged, eyes closed in thought. The remaining council members, Mace Wu, Ki Mundi, Plcun, Shakti, and others are present, their holograms flickering in and out for the off-worlders. You speak of taking the boy yourself personally? >> Yes. disturbance in the force around him. I sense dangerous he may become, but left untrained. More dangerous still. He's older than anyone we've ever admitted. Full of fear, attachments, emotions that could cloud his path. Fear, yes, much fear, but potential greater still. Master Yoda, the boy's not just strong in the force. He's unstable. What if he turns against us? >> Then fail. I will. But only in training him can we learn his truth. No other way. And there'll be one. His knighthood. Knight. He shall be. Earned it. He has. But to train Skywalker. My duty. It is. Mine alone. >> Very well. The decision is yours, Master Yoda. May the force be with you both. >> And with all of us. It must be. Sunlight filters through the tall windows of the temple's meditation chamber, casting intricate patterns on the polished stone floor. The chamber is still, save for the distant hum of traffic beyond the temple's boundaries. Anakin kneels at the center of the room, hands resting on his thighs, his brows are knit together tightly. His eyes are closed, but his mind is anything but still. Yoda sits across from him, perfectly still. >> Think too much, you do, young one. >> How can I not? I'm supposed to save people, but I'm just sitting here. >> You wish to act, to fight, to control, but a Jedi listens first. >> Other Padawans are learning lightsaber forms. All I've done for days is sit. >> Impatient, are you? You believe battle will make you stronger. >> Qui-Gon believed I was special, that I could help people. How am I supposed to do that? Sitting here doing nothing, master. >> Qui-Gon was wise. believed in you. He did. But even he could not see all. Look inside. You must know yourself before you wield a blade. >> That's not fair. I'm ready, master. I feel the force every time I breathe. >> The force feels you, too. Restless, proud, afraid. >> I'm not afraid. >> Then prove it. Be still. Anakin clenches his fists in frustration, but closes his eyes again. Later that day, Anakin walks beside Yoda down the vast corridor, lined with murals of ancient Jedi. Other younglings pass by in groups, laughing and sparring under the watchful eye of older Padawans. Anakin glances at them, envy flashing across his face. >> Why can't I train with them? I'd beat all of them already. >> Beat them? You must not train with them in time. But for now, foundation we build. They treat me like I don't belong. >> Do you? >> I I don't know. >> Then meditate. Know this. You must. The boy nods quietly, frustration smoldering just beneath the surface. As they move on, Yoda glances back briefly, his face shadowed with concern. In Anakin, he sees not just promise, but peril. The ancient Jedi knows this path will not be easy, but he also knows the fate of the galaxy may depend on his choice. Yoda's most lessons with 9-year-old Anakin Skywalker centered not on lightsaber drills, but on stillness of mind and mastery of emotion. Day after day, they sat together in the temple's silent meditation chamber. Sunlight slanting through the window onto woven mats. Yoda guided Anakin through breathing exercises he called breathing with the force, drawing air in as if pulling living energy into his lungs, then releasing tension on each exhale. At first, Anakin's thoughts raced, images of podracers, a clamor of Coruscant streets, longing for his mother. Each time his mind ran away, Yoda would gently tap his shoulder and murmur, "Return, you must to breathe. The present only real it is." Over weeks, Anakin learned to notice his rising impatience as a physical sensation. A tightening in his chest, a quickening pulse, and to name it without judgment. Anger, he would whisper to himself. Frustration. Yoda taught him to let those feelings wash through him like the water around a stone. Felt, acknowledged, then released. >> Strong emotions, like storms, they are. Learn to stand in calm beneath the rain. Gradually, the boy who once snapped his eyes open at every distraction began to hold still for longer, his breathing deep and even, his face serene. When they did pick up practice sabers, the focus remained on patience rather than power. Anakin would lunge forward, eager to strike, only to have Yoda pause him with a simple lift of his hand. "Wait," the master would say. "Feel the force guard your arm. Strike only when the moment is perfect, not when your anger demands it." The young ling's first attempts were clumsy. His blade swayed as he tried to force each movement. But under Yoda's calm insistence, Anakin learned to pause, to listen to the Force's tug, then to move with the quiet precision instead of explosive force. In private lessons, Yoda spoke of the Jedi way, not as conquest, but as harmony. The Jedi's greatest weapon, he would tell Anakin, is a peaceful heart. They spent hours in silence walking through the temple gardens. Yoda pointing out the subtle rhythm of leaves, the gental flow of water over stone. Each detail became a meditation, a reminder that life and the force was found in small, patient moments as much as in grand battles. Anakin's natural fear of failure gradually softened. When he lost focus and lashed out in anger, snapping at Yoda, storming out of a lesson, Yoda never scolded. Instead, he waited and when Anakin returned, offered only lessons continue when you are ready. Over time, the boy discovered that patience rewarded him with clarity. Solutions he had forced before now emerged naturally in his mind during quiet reflection. 10 years later, the sun sets blood red over the skyscrapers of Coruscant as the Chancellor's transport glides past the Senate Dome. Inside the Jedi Temple, Master Yoda watches hollow news reports of planetary unrest spreading throughout the galaxy. Moonalist, Konamoidia, and the separatist rhetoric now gripping over a thousand systems. Shadows lengthened in the temple's halls. But the darkness spreading across the stars is more than political. It is personal. Anakin Skywalker, now 19, walks in quiet step behind Yoda through the temple's vast archives. He is taller, clad in dark Jedi robes tailored with a more structured elegance than his peers. His braid hangs longer, but his expression is more controlled than the boy from Tatooine. Padawan Skywalker stood in the very same meditation chamber where his journey began. He had grown taller, his features more composed, and his temper, once explosive as a volcano, now flickered only briefly before he qualled it with a single deep breath. He closed his eyes and inhaled the temple's familiar stillness, feeling echoes of Yoda's lessons resonate in his chest. His lightsaber hangs unused at his side. Today's training would be a test of mental discipline, not blade technique. When he opened his eyes, he catches a sight of Master Yoda watching him from across the chamber. A small knowing smile on his face. No words pass between them. None were needed. Anakin inclines his head. Grounds in a calm reserve that would have astonished the boy he once was. In that silent exchange, he embodied all Yoda had taught him: patience, clarity, and the steady command of his own emotions. The force flowed through him as surely as a breath, and he was ready for whatever lay ahead. The Clone Wars begin, not with a thunderous declaration, but with a desperate defense. After the Separatists launch a surprise assault on Chrisphsus, a vital Republic outpost, the Jedi Council moves swiftly. The Keino clone army is commissioned by emergency Senate vote. And for the first time in generations, Jedi take up the mantle of generals. Anakin Skywalker, newly knighted and trained under Master Yoda's careful eye, receives his first field command. This is no ceremonial assignment. His battalion lands in active combat. He is no longer the chosen one in training. Now he is the Republic's blade, and Chrisphsus is his crucible. Anakin leads a small squad of clone troopers through the smoldering outskirts of Chrisphsus. Yoda in full general's regalia walks beside him, offering counsel as they navigate ruined hovels and collapsed droids. The air smelled of smoke and ozone. Anakin's pulse fluttered at the sight of destruction. Coven flames licking the broken facades. He raises his hand, calling his men to halt. We move quietly. We'll flank from the east alley. Good command, you shall. I'm ready for this. Their squad presses forward. Clones tumble across crates. Rifles drawn. Suddenly, a barricade erupts in blaster fire. Red bolts slicing through the dusk. Anakin ignites his saber, not for dueling, but to signal a path through the fire. He stepped into the barrage, a transparent shield woven by the force around him. The clones followed, eyes wide with his respect. Anakin reached Yoda's side, blades of light reflecting in his determined eyes. Steady, young Skywalker. Anakin closed his eyes for an instant, palms damp. He feels the echo of Yoda's meditation lessons. Breathing with the Force, naming his surge of adrenaline, he exhaled, shoulders loosening, they advance together, cutting a corridor through the enemy lines. When the skirmish ends, Anakin surveys fallen droids and wounded clones. He knelt beside one trooper, placing a healing hand on his armor. The clone exhaled gratefully. "Well, you did, Skywalker. Thank you, Master. I felt calm. calm strength. Your gift it is. >> As the smoke dissipates, Anakin knows these trials have bound him to both duty and emotion. He has faced visions of loss, feels the stirrings of love, and led men into battle. Each test, forging him further from the impulsive child he had been. Yet under Yoda's patient toutelage, he has learned to balance heart and mind, forging a mentor ward bond that would carry him into the tragedies and triumphs yet to come. Later in the council chambers, the Jedi debate Count Dooku's growing influence over the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Anakin stands off to the side, silent. Mace Wu casts him occasional glances, uncertain. Anakin remains focused, but his thoughts drift as the meeting adjourns. The halls of the temple bustle with motion. Jedi Knights are being dispatched to various crisis points. In one corridor, Anakin walks alone when a voice interrupts his stride. Warm, familiar, and soft. Padme Amadala. She steps from the shadows of the portico in a regal white senatorial gown flanked by Captain Tyo. Her presence is calm yet carries the weight of memory. For Anakin, it is as if time folds in on itself. For the briefest instant, he is a boy again, staring up at a queen who saw something in him that no one else did. She smiles. >> Anakin. >> Senator, it's been a long time. >> You've grown. So of you, more beautiful, more serene. There's a pause. Neither acknowledge the emotion pulsing under their words. Yoda, watching discreetly from afar, narrows his eyes, not with suspicion, but concern. The force stirs uneasily. Later that evening, in Yoda's private meditation chamber, Anakin kneels opposite him, surrounded by a circle of flickering candles. His breathing is shallow, mind unfocused. Saw her again. You did. I didn't seek her out. It just happened. Just happen things do not. Why should I pretend she doesn't exist? Pretend you must not. Deny you must not, but cling. Dangerous. It is. Your focus must remain here. I understand. Weeks later, the spring gardens of the Jedi Temple glowed beneath the sun. Blossoms drifting like confetti on a mild breeze. Anakin walked alongside Senator Amadala. He carries a small data cylinder, yet his eyes keep drifting to a graceful profile. The way midday light caught her hair. Padme spoke of diplomatic negotiations with quiet determination. >> The Lothal delegation saw we offered more than military contracts. They >> She paused as Anakin stepped over a gnarled route. >> You nearly stumbled. >> I'm sorry. I was distracted. >> Distracted by politics? by by the stakes and someone I haven't seen for a very long time. >> You mean me? >> I I'm glad to see you. >> They reached the hollow transport pad, boarding together in the hush of security officers. The compartment hummed as it ascended. >> If their response turns out positive, this can strengthen our future relationship with the sector. I'm glad you're here. >> Well, I I want to help you succeed. >> You always help. They shared a quiet laugh and Anakin felt a moment's pure peace. Later on, on Coruscant Streets, they paused at a cafe overlooking a canal. Padme sipped tea. Anakin watched ripples dance under the glass floor. >> You seem different, Anakin. Calmer. >> I've been learning to listen to the Force, to others. >> I feel it. You're more present. >> Padme reached for his hand. Anakin's heart soared, and for a moment he let himself hope this bond would endure. Yet in the corner of his vision, he thought he saw Yoda's hooded figure among the holith pillars, silent and watchful. The city hummed outside the wide transpar steel windows of the Supreme Chancellor's private office. Night cloaked the Senate District in a curtain of shimmering lights and deep shadows. Inside, all was still, except for the soft footsteps of Anakin Skywalker approaching the highbacked chair behind the Chancellor's desk. Anakin, I was hoping you'd come. Well, you called for me. How could I refuse? Then I am honored. You know, Anakin, sometimes I think Coruscant is most honest at night when the Senate chambers are silent, when the bureaucrats are sleeping. Only the true machinery of the Republic continues quietly, efficiently. Please sit. I heard of your assignments. Flawless executions, they say. No casualties. Jedi diplomacy backed by Jedi strength. Remarkable. We did what we were trained to do. No, you did what you were meant to do. You succeeded where others would have stumbled in indecision. You're growing, Anakin. Becoming something rare. The council doesn't see it that way. They fear what they don't understand. And they don't understand you. Not really. Not your instincts, not your ability to act. They've trained me since I was a boy. Trained or tamed. You have a brilliance they can't teach in the temple. Vision, courage. It's why I've always valued our talks and why when the time comes, this Republic will need someone like you in real leadership. I'm a Jedi. I serve the council. Of course you do. For now. You sound like you've already seen the future. Haven't I always? Go on. Rest. But remember this. One day the Republic will need more than Jedi reflexes. It will need decisive hearts. Good night, Chancellor. Good night, my boy. Later that night, a low, keening whisper echoed through the meditation chamber long after Anakin's eyes snapped open. He sat upright, robes tangled, breath coming in sharp gasps as images of his mother's torment fade like smoke. Yoda, seated in the mat opposite him, remained still, eyes closed as though he had summoned the vision himself. Master, she's she's dying. I saw her. Pain and fear. I I couldn't help her. Visions come. They do. Sometimes truth. Sometimes fears mirror. It's real. I felt her scream. I sensed her blood. I must go to Tatooine. I must save her. Patient. You must be act with balance, not impulse. The path to truth. Subtle. It is balance. She's dying. Master, arrange. I will. A discrete inquiry. Master even peel. We'll seek news. Results may be slow. Slow that could kill her. Trust in the inquiry, young one. You won't hinder more than help if rash you become. The force flows through patience. Just as they were arguing, Obi-Wan Kenobi's boots echoed down the corridor. He burst into the chambers where Anakin stood anxiously by a low table shrine of holocrons and candles. Master Yoda. Anakin? It's Padme. She's missing. Missing? How? After we escorted her back to her suite this evening, guards reported a silent alarm. Her chambers were empty. No struggle, no note. Nothing but her data pad left behind. Come, we must remain. Details have you. Security logs show a figure garbed in Senate staff robes, but the scan was scrambled. I traced a void suit beacon fired moments later. Trajectory points to Geonosis. Geonosis? But that's Dooku stronghold. Yes. Intel suggests Count Dooku orchestrated the abduction. He wanted her leverage. Hasty actions we cannot take. Balance we must keep. If rescue her, we will. Master, I can't lose her. Not after. After everything, we will not fail her. Master Yoda and I will coordinate council inquiry. We'll dispatch a discrete team and contact Chancellor Roana. He'll mobilize a covert squad. Swift and silent, our path must be. Anakin, restrain your fear. Trust the Force. I will. As they stepped into the corridor, a shared resolve bound them. The Knights storm pounded the temple walls, echoing their urgency. Somewhere on a dusty battlefield, Padme's fate hung in the balance, and Anakin Skywalker would stop at nothing to bring her home. Geonosis burned beneath a blazing sun as Anakin's lat gunship touched down on the outskirts of a vast fortress-like structure. Inside, Senator Padme Amadala was being held, kidnapped days ago. Her location confirmed through intelligence smuggled out by Republic spies. Now, Jedi generals Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Padawan Anakin Skywalker had come to bring her back. The interior halls were vast, echoing with the clatter of droid patrols in the hum of factories. They moved swiftly. Anakin at the front, saberdrawn, emotions clenching with every step. Steady, Anakin, let the force guide you. Not fear. But Anakin's mind was consumed by the vision of Padme in pain. Alone, he pressed forward. In a dim anti-chamber lined with columns, they found her bound to a hovering repulsor lift gurnie guarded by two super battle droids. With a snap of green and blue blades, the Jedi cut them down. >> Padme. >> Anakin, you came. >> Of course, I came. I should have never left you alone. >> I knew you'd find me. >> Can you walk? >> I'll manage. >> Leave quickly. We must. Danger near it is. No sooner had they turned than the chamber doors sealed with a thunderous crash. Count Dooku emerged from the upper balcony, cloak billowing like a shadow given form. >> Master Yoda Kenobi and young Skywalker, just as I had hoped. >> Surrender. You must end this war before darker hands move behind you. >> Surrender? >> What's so funny? Tell me, boy, do you still hear his voice? Qui-Gon, don't talk about him. >> You Jedi never learn, do you? Walking into my home like ghosts, thinking yourselves above consequence. Droids pour in from side corridors. Blasters raised. The lightsabers ignited again. Yoda raised his hand, halting the assault with a sweeping force push, but Dooku leapt down, Saber hissing to life. You will not leave alive. >> Blaster fire erupted as Padme was pulled behind a pillar by Anakin. >> Anakin, guard her. You will do not engage. >> Reluctantly, Anakin obeyed. He pulled Padme back into cover. Stay low. I won't let anything touch you. >> Be careful. >> Obi-Wan and Yoda moved as one. Blue and green blades flashed against Dooku's crimson, the crackle of the clash echoing in the domed chamber. Dooku fought like a duelist. Precise, elegant, deadly. Obi-Wan landed a glancing strike, but Dooku twisted with uncanny speed, driving him back. Anakin watched, barely able to contain himself. Behind them, a stray bolt from a battle droid burst through a gap in the pillar. Padme cried out as it grazed her side. She collapsed, clutching her ribs. "Padme!" >> Anakin yelled, catching her. She was conscious, but blood seeped through her sleeve. That was it. Anakin's fury boiled over. He rose, saber igniting in a roar of blue. >> "No, Anakin, don't >> control yourself. You must. Anger clouds your sight. >> But it was too late. Anakin launched himself into the fray, reckless with emotion. Dooku turned, parrying Anakin's furious strikes with elegant ease. >> I must say, you've learned nothing, boy. Still ruled by your heart. >> Skywalker, stand down. Not strength. This is only fear wearing Rage's mask. I'm not afraid of you. >> Good. That will make your fall all the easier. >> Protect her with clarity, not fury. Blind you are becoming. >> But Anakin couldn't hear it. Padme lay wounded, and the fear of losing her burned too bright. He pressed harder, faster, until his movements lost discipline. His strikes turned wild and open. >> "Enough, young Skywalker. Let the force guide you, not your pain." >> Anakin staggered midstep. Dooku's crimson blade clashing against his with a burst of sparks. The count pressed in, but in that moment, Yoda's voice cut deeper than a saber. Anakin hesitated. The rage in his chest cracked open, and from within, memory flooded back. His first day in the temple, legs trembling in meditation. Yoda's voice urging calm, breath, balance. The stillness of the force beneath chaos. He saw Padme's face, not in pain, but smiling beneath the garden's blossoms, her hand in his, his muscles loosened. His breath slowed. The fury began to fade. He moved to shift into a defensive posture. Too late. Dooku saw the hesitation and seized it. He spun low in a blur of dark motion. With one clean arc, his crimson blade sliced through Anakin's forearm. A searing flash of pain exploded through Anakin's body. he cried out, collapsing backward, his saber dropped from his severed hand, clattering against the stone. >> "There it is, the price of restraint. You should have embraced the fire." >> Obi-Wan surged forward, intercepting Dooku's next strike. They fight, but Dooku, who is a former Jedi Master and cunning. In a short time, he fights and nearly defeats Obi-Wan, but Yoda interferes. Anakin and Obi-Wan lying there, but Yoda was already in motion. Green light met red as the Grandmaster engaged, not just in combat, but to preserve the fragile clarity his Padawan had only just begun to understand. Now it was master versus apprentice, two titans of the force. With a sudden twist of force energy, he shatters the ceiling above Anakin and Obi-Wan. [Music] Are you able? [Music] >> You You shouldn't have escaped. He did, but this war far from over. >> Republic transports arrived moments later. evacuating Padme and the injured Jedi to the flagship above Geonosis. In the medbay, Anakin lay quiet, his prosthetic arm newly attached, eyes fixed on the ceiling. Padme sat beside him, her own arm wrapped in bandages. >> Why didn't you listen to Master Yoda? >> Because I couldn't lose you, and apparently I did, but it was fast. >> You almost lost yourself. >> But I do it again. >> You can't keep loving me and expect the Jedi to look the other way. I don't care. I'll walk both paths if I have to. He reached out for her hand with his left. She looked down, torn. She touched his hand, but didn't answer. Outside the medbay, Obi-Wan and Yoda stood beside the viewport, watching the planet shrink beneath them. Dooku's forces are only the beginning. This wasn't just about Padme. Bait she was, but warned we are now. The Clone Wars have begun. He's slipping. Attachment clouds everything. Watch him closely, I must. Still much to learn. Skywalker has. >> As the flagship entered hyperspace, no one aboard knew how close they had come to losing more than the battle. The Jedi had won the day, but at a terrible cost, and the war, as Yoda said, was far from over. Sometime later, Anakin stood at the edge of the Chancellor's office, his right arm still covered in medical wrappings beneath his robe. His synthetic replacement had only just begun integrating with his nervous system. He flexed his fingers. They responded, but they didn't feel like his. Palpatine stood behind his desk, watching Anakin in the reflection of the transparial viewport. They say the pain fades with time, but some wounds are meant to leave a mark. I hesitated just for a moment, and he took my arm. You didn't hesitate. You chose compassion, and that is not weakness, my boy. that his strength the Jedi do not understand. >> Master Yoda said the opposite. >> Master Yoda's path is ancient, monastic, detached. But you, you are not like them. You care. You fight with your heart. You lost this not because you failed, but because you dared to feel. The Jedi would have you suppress all attachment. But tell me honestly, Anakin, could you truly have watched her die and done nothing? No, of course not. And that is why you must never doubt yourself. You did what they could not. You acted. You loved. And that, Anigan, makes you more powerful than any of them. One day, the galaxy will need someone who sees clearly, not someone who follows rituals. Trust yourself, Anakin, not them. And when you need me, I will always be here. Anakin exited the Senate shuttle tunnel and stepped into the temple's outer corridor. The marble glistened faintly with cleansing steam. He walked in silence until he rounded the corner where Mace Windu stood, arms crossed, waiting. That was a long meeting for a field report. It was informal. It always is with him. Be careful, Skywalker. The Chancellor has a way of seeing things in people that he uses later. He's always been supportive, even when the council wasn't. That's exactly why I don't trust him. You're powerful, Anakin. We all see it. But don't mistake flattery for guidance. And don't confuse loyalty with ownership. The war isn't the only thing being fought for. Anakin stood alone, fingers flexing in his mechanical hand, pulse thutting in his ears. He didn't know what disturbed him more, that Wu was wrong or that he might be right. Later that week, in the dim blue quiet of the temple's private meditation chamber, Anakin kneels alone before Yoda. Outside, Coruscant pulses with the rhythm of war. battles raging light years away. But here the silence is total. Only the sound of breath and the faint hum of the force. Anakin's posture is rigid. His eyes remain downcast. I care for her. Feelings natural. They are dangerous. If possessive, they become. I'm not afraid of my feelings. Fear hides behind certainty. Love, you say, or need, perhaps. I would never hurt her. Hurts, attachment does. Fear of loss, anger from fear, death from anger. But before this all, the Jedi code stands. I know what the Jedi code says. The code forbids attachment for reason. To be a Jedi is to serve selflessly, without condition, without possession. But how can I serve if I don't care? How can I protect anyone if I'm not allowed to love them? Attachment is not love. Love, selfless, it must be protective, yes, but never possessive. I just want to keep her safe. To protect sometimes to let go, we must. Not because you don't care, but because you care enough to place others before yourself. I don't know if I can. Then learn. You must. Yes, master. >> bothering you? Something else was. What is it, young one? >> The chancellor. He's been different lately. He says things about the Jedi, about me. >> H What things does he say? That I'm different. That I see what the Jedi don't. That their rules, our rules, don't fit the galaxy anymore. He says, "I'm meant to lead, not follow." Careful, you must be. Praise often the mask of manipulation. It is. He's always been kind to me. Ever since I was brought to Coruscant, he trusts me. He feels like a father. I see. Kindness. A powerful lure. Yes. Trusted. Earned through flattery. Fragile it is. He's never told me to betray the order. only that he believes in me, that I meant for more. >> Ambition, a double-edged blade. Believe in yourself, you must, but listen also. Question what uplifts your pride too easily. Sometimes I don't know who's telling you the truth anymore. That you ask is good. Continue to ask. Truth is not always loud. Often quiet. Still your heart conflicted. It is not beyond reach. Stay grounded. Stay present. The force will guide. Always remember, Skywalker. Love without fear. Protect without control. Hard lessons, but learn them. You must or lose what you seek to protect. Then he was gone. Anakin remained kneeling, staring into the space where Yoda had stood. His breath slowed. His hand, metal and real, rested flat on his chest. He did not know if he felt better, but he had listened. And for now, that was something. He and Padme married in secret beneath the golden sky of Naboo. Only the wind and the stars bear witness along with C3PO and R2-D2. Anakin woke in the middle of the night, gasping, sweat soaked, clutching his chest as if his heart had been pierced. In his dreams, his mother screamed, shackled, dying, calling his name as her breath faded into desert wind. By morning, he was in the temple meditation hall, pacing before Yoda, voice raw. It was her, master, my mother again. I feel her pain like it's happening now. I have to go. Always in motion, the future is. But listen to the force. You must not to fear, not to grief. But she's in pain. Master, I have to save her. Fear leads to haste. But hear you. I do. Go. You may, but remember your training. Your peace. May the force be with you, young one. Tatooine's twin sons hadn't changed, but everything else had. He goes to his mother's place. Padme is with him. She can't leave him. How could she? Anakin found her in a Tuscan camp, bruised and broken, barely clinging to life. He held her as she took her last breath. Her final smile was for him. Then silence. A different silence. One that begged for vengeance. He ignited his saber. Rage surged within him like wildfire. But he froze. Yoda's voice echoed in his mind. >> Let go of what you fear to lose. Peace, not passion. Anakin lowered the blade. He took his mother and left without shedding blood. When he returned to Coruscant, the sky was gray with distant thunder. Anakin barely spoke as he landed his fighter at the temple hanger. Word had already spread. His boots crunched over the gravel path as he approached. Cloak draped under his shoulders like a weight he couldn't shake. Anakin stared at the water's surface, expression unreadable. Every part of me screamed to make them pay. I lit my saber. They didn't even know I was there. I could have killed them. Killed them all. But I didn't. I remembered what Master Yoda taught me. I remembered what it means to be calm. To listen, to choose something harder than vengeance. I walked away. >> You didn't give in. That's what makes you a Jedi, Anakin. That's what makes you you. >> Then why does it feel like I left part of myself behind with her? because you loved her and love never leaves clean. You honored her, so be proud of the man you've become, Annie." >> He leaned his head against hers. The hum of Coruscant faded around them. Anakin exhald, the pain still burning, but no longer blinding, and for the first time, he let himself breathe. Time passed. Dooku returned once more. He has kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine. Anakin and Obi-Wan are there to rescue him. A fight between Anakin and Dooku along with Obi-Wan takes place. Anakin stared down, chest heaving. Dooku was beaten, broken, kneeling. His expression didn't carry fear, only disbelief at how swiftly Skywalker had outmatched him and how much stronger the boy had become. Anakin's blade wavered. He killed innocence. He started a war. Ended Anakin. But Anakin didn't move. Yoda's voice echoed in his mind, calm and rooted. Let the force guide you, not your pain. to protect. Sometimes to let go, we must. Anakin extinguished his saber. He's not a threat anymore, you fool. But before the Chancellor could finish, a faint click echoed in the silence. Dooku had moved. His handless arms trembling and bloody tapped a pressure switch embedded in his belt. Hidden emergency override. A warning blinked across a shattered console. Self-destruct sequence activated. The deck shuttered. A secondary alarm began wailing in a new tone. one of imminent catastrophe. Anakin's eyes shot to the council, then back to Dooku. >> What did you do? I may fail, but I won't be your prisoner. >> He reached again toward a second clasp at his side. It glowed faintly. Another control final detonation. Anakin, stop him now. And this time, Anakin acted not in anger, not for revenge, but because Obi-Wan lay behind him. Because the war would not end here. With a clean, practiced motion, he ignited his saber and plunged it through Dooku's chest. The Sith Lord's eyes went wide, then softened. He collapsed against the cold metal floor, breath rattling. Anakin stood over him, stunned. You You're stronger than I was told, but still blind. What do you mean, >> mask? It's not mine. What? He was never your savior. >> Who? Who are you talking about? >> He's been playing both sides since before, Naboo. And with that, the life faded from his eyes. Silence returned. Anakin stared at the still body for a long moment, then slowly turned to Palpatine. The Chancellor was already out of his restraints, smoothing his robes with careful, composed concern. You did what had to be done. But Anakin didn't answer. The warning lingered in his mind like smoke. He shut off his saber and walked to Whoopi's side. In the days after Dooku's death, Anakin found no peace. The war dragged across star systems. And though Anakin fought like a general, he slept like a haunted man. His dreams grew worse. Anakin stood with his back to the railing, arms crossed, gaze distant. Padme stepped out, wrapping a soft robe around her shoulders. You've been quiet all night. >> I saw you die in my dreams over and over. You were in pain, screaming. I couldn't reach you. I couldn't save you, >> Anakin. They're just dreams. >> No, not just. I've had them before with my mother and she. >> That won't happen to me. I'm here. I'm alive. You're not alone. I won't lose you. >> Then don't lose yourself. >> They stood together as night deepened. Two souls tangled in love and fear. Each hoping that love alone would be enough. In a shadowed opera box above Coruscant skyline, the Chancellor had told him the legend. Darth Plegus the wise, a Sith so powerful he could stop death itself. But he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Anakin had listened, silent and cold. Palpatine never said it outright, but the implication was clear. He could save Padme. He could save you. But Dooku's dying words still echoed in Anakin's mind. He was never your savior. He's playing both sides. A day later, the Chancellor's private suite was dim, lit only by the low orange glow of Coruscant's distant city lights. Outside the transparial windows, speeders buzzed like insects through the night. But inside it was still, too. Still, Anakin stood at the threshold, robes damp from rain. His eyes didn't waver. On the ship, before Dooku died, he said something. Did he? >> He said, "The mask is the man you serve." That he's playing both sides. Man I serve. It's It's you. And what makes you think he was referring to me, boy? >> I don't know. Maybe it's just the way you looked at him or didn't. The things you said afterward. The things he said before. >> Dooku was desperate. He saw his end coming and cast blame like dust in the wind. Why would you believe him over me, Anakin? After all we've been through, you never wanted him captured. You told me to kill him. And you did. I didn't. I was trust because you trust me. Maybe I shouldn't. And yet here you are, still searching for something only I can give. You dream of her dying, don't you? Night after night. I know. But how do you know? The Jedi feel it too. But they do nothing. They tell you to let go, to bury your love under the code. They teach peace. They teach weakness. But I can save her from death itself. >> What did you say? >> I can stop death. I have the knowledge, the power. The Jedi would see her die before they shared it with you. That's s power indeed. The dark side is a path to many abilities. Some consider to be unnatural. You're him. I am Darth Cidius. You were meant to find me, Anakin. It is your destiny to bring balance. But not by destroying me. By learning from me, becoming stronger than any Jedi. strong enough to save the ones you love. You're behind everything. Everything has led to this choice. The Jedi will make you choose between their dogma and her life. I offer you both. The city pulsed outside. Anakin stood trembling, caught between the light and the dark and not yet willing to step either way. Without a word, he turned and fled the chamber. Anakin stood in the high council meditation chamber. Its walls bathed in pale blue shadows, silence pressed in like water. The twin silhouettes of Master Yoda and Master Wu set in still meditation. But Yoda's eyes opened as if he had sensed Anakin's arrival moments before it happened. He's a Sith Lord. The one we've been looking for. It's Palpatine. He's Darth Cidius. You're certain. I confronted him. He didn't deny it. He admitted everything. Truth. This is long sensed. I have but believed I did not wish to. >> If what you've told us is true, then the Chancellor is under arrest. We'll need to act now before he disappears or consolidates more power. You can't just kill him. He told me he could save her Padme from dying. He knows how. This is what he's using to manipulate you. You can't trust anything he offers. And what if it's true? What if he can stop death? If we kill him now, whatever he knows dies with him. If you serve him, the Jedi die with you. >> Obi-Wan's not here. He's on Udapal. I'll go with Kit, Ajan, and Tin. Stay here, Skywalker. You have too much confusion on the matter. Time we do not have. Need to gather others. I will go with you. Act. We must fast. I don't want to lose her. I can't lose her. Already you have. If down that path you go. Storms coil above the city. Rain streaking across the towering spires of Coruscant. Lightning flashes behind the senadome, casting eerie silhouettes across the chancellor's suite, tall, cold, silent. But not for long. Inside the office is dim. Curved transparent steel windows frame the chaos outside. Palpatine stands alone, hands clasped behind his back, bathed in flickering city light. The door hisses open. Mace window enters first, lightsaber at his side. Anakin follows, tense but silent. Behind them, Yoda walks in last. Cain tapping softly on Marvel. You've come then. You are under arrest, Chancellor. The Senate will decide your fate. I am the Senate. Not anymore. Then it's treason. His cloak slips from his shoulders. In one impossible motion, he lunges. A blade of crimson light ignites in his hand. Mace intercepts the first strike. Anakin's saber snaps to life. A second later. Yoda flips forward. Green blade blazing. The duel begins. Cidius is a storm of rage. His movements blinding. His strikes savage. Mace meets him headon. Every block filled with intent. Anakin supports from the flank. Yoda leaps and darts, forcing the Sith to divide his attention. A burst of lightning sends Anakin flying into a pillar. Yoda retaliates with a wave of the force that hurls Cidius across the office. Shattering windows and unleashing the fury of rain. They fight among the storm. Blades flash in the rain slick chamber. Desks crash. Sparks fly. The thunder outside mirrors the war within. At last, Mace lands a brutal strike that sends Cidius sprawling. His saber flies from his hand, clattering to the floor. Palpatine slumps against a shattered column, lightning flickering around his fingers. Mace steps forward, saber raised. It's over. I can end this now. Anakin approaches, his saber still lit but unmoving. He looks down at Palpatine, then at Wu, and something shifts. You You see it, don't you? They fear what you could become. They always have. You lied to me. No, I trusted you. I offered you truth. Power enough to stop death itself. Don't let them take it from you. Not again. Not like your mother. Not like enough. I know what you're doing. You want me to strike an anger out of fear, attachment, but I've learned those are chains. Yoda taught me. You what? We don't win by becoming them. That is what the dark side wants. Mace looks at Anakin like seeing him for the first time. Not as the chosen one, but as a Jedi. And that one second is all Palpatine needs. His hands snap upward, lightning bursting from his fingers with a guttural scream. The blast slams into Mace point blank. He's thrown backward, crashing into the far wall. Stunned and smoking. Anakin tries to react, but the strike came too fast. Palpatine rises, face twisted, hate burning from every inch of him. He lifts his hands to finish Anakin, but he never gets the chance. Yoda is already moving, a green blur in the storm. With one fluid motion, Yoda flips forward, twisting midair, and drives his saber through Palpatines's chest. A gasp, wet and sharp. Palpatines's face contorts, not in pain, but in disbelief. He stumbles back, a sickening silence, then collapses, dead. Rain begins to pour through the shattered windows, washing across the broken office. Wind howls behind the ruins. The storm begins to fade. Yoda lowers his blade, breath steady. Anakin drops to one knee beside Mace, who stirs, groaning, but alive. They all remain still for a moment. Thunder rolls away, swallowed by a distant sky. >> Remind me, whose idea was it to bring the kid along? Because I think he just saved all our lives. Master Yoda always said patience was a weapon. Well, next time warn me before you give a lecture mid duel, kid. The Senate reels with disbelief. Days of emergency session follow as evidence of Palpatines's duplicity floods the chambers. Recordings, secret files, testimonies from the Jedi who confronted him. His crimes are undeniable. His plan terrifying in its precision. The senators whisper of how close they had come to becoming slaves to an empire. Emergency powers are revoked. The wartime constitution is torn apart. A vote is held swiftly without contest. Baylor Ghana of Aldderon is elected the new Supreme Chancellor. He promises peace, neutrality, and the rebuilding of democratic process. His voice is calm, measured, hopeful. The Jedi begin reforms of their own. The code is rewritten, not abolished, but softened. Attachment is no longer condemned, but understood. Emotions are no longer feared, but studied with care. Jedi are taught not just how to fight, but how to feel and how to let go. Yoda steps down from the council, his last words private. He retires to a quiet sanctuary on Naboo, not far from the lake where Padme once walked. There, he watches the future unfold with weary optimism. Anakin never returns to the Jedi Temple, not out of shame, but choice. He vanishes from public life with Padme beside him. The galaxy assumes he is gone. Perhaps seeking peace in some distant system. Few know the truth. In a quiet villa by a silver lake, Padme gives birth to twins, Luke and Leia. Their names are spoken gently without prophecy or burden. Anakin holds them with trembling hands. His eyes not full of fear, but hope. For the first time in decades, the galaxy breathes. There is no Empire, no purge, no masked tyrant ruling from the shadows. There is only the wind through the grass and the force balanced, if only for now. That's our theory. The Star Wars universe is a galaxy filled with exciting stories and possibilities, and we love exploring them.
