what if Jon Snow had silver hair let's explore the depths of it in the video Nate Diana is that you is that really you you're not a dream no I'm not a dream I'm here I've missed you big mother miss you too I want to be brave you are I'm not I don't want to die you're not going to die get us some water no no water just listen to me [Music] n his name his name is jares as the last of her strength leaves her she calls for their nursaid to bring Ned the child she offers Ned one final smile before her hand goes limp and then drops to the bed Ned stares at her body for a long time his hand clenching into a fist as he blinks back tears there will be room for grief later in the meantime he still has to fulfill his oath glancing over the maid he gestures forward in her hands is a bundle that begins to weep when Ned looks over at the child he feels his heart leap into his throat at the sight of him he has the same Stark features lyanna had a long face and stoic expression even as he weeps there's a grimness to him but what no Stark ever had was silver hair or violet eyes this will be a problem when he returned to Winterfell Catelyn was just as surprised as everyone when she saw him causing Ned to give her the explanation while she is shocked and worried she understands why he is doing this but warns that Robert will not be as pleased Ned planned to claim the boy as his own but with this silver hair this would be impossible there was only one option available to him and that is the truth true to her prediction Robert rages over the child rig our [ __ ] targaryen's child you're taking in that Monster's son it is not just his child Robert it is lyanna's child Ned think about what you're doing this child could start another war and that is not to mention what that monster did to her I do and I will never forgive him but those who his sins and his sins alone to place this on the boy is not fair to to him whatever fears you may have are just that but one thing cannot be denied he is lyanna's son answer me Robert you knew lyanna if she were alive what do you think she would do she would have cared for him damn you Ned damn you in your honor Ned very well keep the boys safe raise them as your own but be prepared to deal with the consequences of this and for your sake I wish you luck however with his silver hair there is no hiding who he is news spreads far and wide of his existence Jaris Targaryen last son of rhaegar though Robert's decree ensures he will be protected from Death it does not save him from the ridicule of the people Nobles across the Seven Kingdoms Whisper of him as a cursed child a son born out of rape for a fallen Dynasty the last Act of Cruelty for them his silver hair becomes a reminder of that leaving everyone regarding him with cool courtesy at best and open hostility at worst many whisper that he may try to overthrow the barathan Dynasty and Whispers that he should be arrested though Robert tries to quash these Rumblings they continue to Fester this leaves Jaris feeling more isolated than ever as he rarely leaves the North and remains in Winterfell as the only place he receives warmth Ned Stark's children though not true siblings come to regard him as their brother just as Catelyn comes to admire the Young Prince to her his silver hair is a sign of his husband's nobility and honor she encourages him to ignore these rumors reminding him that he shall always be a stark first and foremost and she knows he will never try to betray them Catelyn isn't the only source of compassion for jaras either as news reaches the wall of this silver-haired youth it catches the attention of another Stark Benin of the nights watch maester aan takes the first Ranger to meet the boy to verify the rumors and to see what sort of man he is over the years benjin occasionally appears in Winterfell to visit Ned and his children but also to observe Jaris he sees him as intelligent observant brave and strong all things that impress master aiman and benjin who takes the boy under his wing he helps teach him how to fight survive in the wilderness and ride a horse then one day he approaches Ned with a drastic solution brother let me take the boy to the wall you've done well raising him here in Winterfell but all he will ever know here is how to be a stark it is time he also learned to become a Targaryen The Last of his kin are on the wall jaharis he's always been lonely he's lived his life as an outcast to send him to the war would Mark him for Life a lonely road to which there is no returning how can I do do that to him you care for him I know but you must consider the life this will give him he shall never inherit land nor wear a crown though he may serve in Rob's household when he becomes Lord of Winterfell no matter how Noble he serves there would always be those who whisper of treason and treachery on the wall he shall be surrounded by his brothers it shall put the rumors to rest for all men's crimes are washed away jar committed no crime save being born to the wrong family and yet still enough to condemn him once he takes the black those rumors shall at least be put to rest what shall matter is how well he serves and I am certain Jeri shall rise High Ned considers this offer but in the end leaves the decision to Jaris for the young Targaryen while he is immensely grateful to the Starks for giving a place in Winterfell he sees the knight's watch as a place for him to rise Beyond simply being the Targaryen bastard he sees himself Rising within their ranks becoming a ranger and then something more like his Uncle benjin though they warn him of how difficult this path will be he accepts it by the end of the month he offers a tearful goodbye to his family in Winterfell Ned Rob and Catelyn are particularly sad to see him go they wish him good luck and tell him that no matter what others will tell him he is a stark and he will never be anything less to them but as he arrives in Castle black one of the first people Jaris meets is the venerable Master aan though almost a century older than him there is a strange familiarity between them as the blind Targaryen listens to benjin's description of him and reaches out and feels his face his eyes light up with realization yes it has been a long time since I felt such features you remind me of my nephew in his youth young Jaris I I never thought I would find one of my kin again I could say the same Master can you teach me who I am who you are no that is your task and yours alone but I can't tell you of our house and family I will tell you the secrets that built your Dynasty make no mistake though only you can make use of it to shape your Dynasty true to his word aside from his normal duties and trainings Aman has jeris serve him as a steward he helps care for the Aging maester cares for his Ravens and writes his letters in this time Amon tells jarus about the targaryens he tells him about the Kings before him their secrets and Customs their beliefs and their Magics though many believe magic has long faded away Aman is adamant that there remains some traces of it and that it is still what makes the targaryens so different they didn't just rule through politics but magic he tells him of the prophecies that have guided them if jarus expected to find Acceptance in the knight's watch he is sorely disappointed at least at first in contrast to his uncle many of the Watchmen are criminals and the drgs of society they are criminals and outcasts sent to the wall few have any love for the silver-haired noble who they see is one who glad oppressed them in the past among them is Sir Alister who was sent to the wall in disgrace after fighting for the targaryens to him Jaris is a reminder of that failure a disappointment to a dynasty he lost his career for at first Jaris is angry but benjin reminds him that these men have faced their struggles to reach here throwing his weight around will only further alienate them and never make him their brother humility is difficult for the young Lord but he forces himself to swallow his pride instead he sits and listens to those who disparage him encouraging them and gradually wins them over one such Ranger who takes notice of him is a legendary Fighter by the name of Corin halfhand although stationed in the shadow Tower the ranger visits Jaris to check up on him as a favor to benjin while he goes on ranging Corin soon becomes a regular sparring partner for him though Jaris is disappointed to never be able to best him as the senior Watchman explains all his tricks and Maneuvers that he's picked up still jarus advances quickly and soon becomes an exceptional fighter as Jaris skill grows Aman entrusts in him the ancient secret of the targaryens the prophecy of the prince that was promised late into the night as the fire in amon's chamber flickers the old maester speaks our family has always walked the line between prophecy and Destiny RAR believed that his line would bring forth the prince was promised and now jares I believe it too you must not bind yourself to an oath that would chain you to this wall your path lies Beyond it a swore I would serve here that I would honor my duty if I refuse the vows they will call me a coward let them talk a greater purpose awaits you but as they speak the the door slides open Corin halfhand watches him closely I've traveled from the haunted forest to the ice Rivers something is happening J's the wildlings are abandoning their homes entire Clans moving south they are afraid they are running and I expect an old friend is leading them in all my years I have never seen anything quite like this I suspect you will have a part to play if I'm not swearing an oath how can I go beyond the wall leave that to me the words linger in Jar's mind as nightfalls when the time comes for him to take his vows he stands among the others but when they kneel he remains on his feet murmurs Ripple through the gathered recruits and Sir Alis steps forward his lip curling in disdain to good to knil all your silver hair thought as much you were never one of us Jaris meets his gaze but says nothing he turns and walks away leaving behind Whispers and stares even among his friends there is confusion and nervousness they all wonder what is going on but say nothing as they are made to give their vows the wind howls as he steps out of Castle black his heart hammering in his chest he does not head south instead he turns North stepping Beyond the Wall into the unknown as he Ventures into the haunted forest he hears hoof beats a few days later Jaris gets to his feet and grips his sword tightly readying himself for whoever might show up but as they draw closer he catches their dark cloaks and lowers his blade underneath one of their dark cloaks Corin halfhand Smiles a day after Jaris had left Corin requested arranging to investigate wildling activity that just happened to be in the haunted forest I'm here my prince I am ready to serve you I am no Prince called in though I might ask what you shall do you took an oath there are o sworn by words in or sworn by Blood I am yours I only ask one thing from you and what is that you use my real name Arthur DNE as Jaris and Sir Arthur DNE move through the Wilds Beyond the Wall they begin their Quest they know something is going on so they begin gathering information and their source is the free folk they travel from one Wilding Village to the next using the information that Sir Arthur has gathered over the years of ranging Beyond the Wall Manz has gathered many wildlings but he hasn't found all of them yet some still linger either as independent raiding parties or those who are yet to make up their mind and they reach out to them each encounter is a trial the free folk are not easily swayed by words or titles they demand strength and proof of worth much less from the crows Jaris and Arthur are forced to challenge champions in brutal duels endure Trials of endurance through freezing knights with little more than their cloaks and navigate the fierce rivalries between Clans some of these Villages deal with raids from rival Clans and ask for protection they deal with those raids striking at other raiding parties through sheer determination and growing Legend they begin to earn respect with that respect comes information the free folk slowly begin to to reveal bits and pieces of what they've encountered Raiders going missing only to be found frozen over people disappearing when they venture too far from their homes and tombs found open with the bodies missing some claim to have seen them pale figures moving through the Mist dead men rising from the snow even the most seasoned Raiders find themselves shivering as they relate these stories but each time Jaris is clear in his promise he will help them defend against these problems whether it be raids from rivals or whatever these other threats might be these words begin to have their effect as some offer to join the small band it is a trickle a single Warrior or a handful of people and then entire Villages but with this growing Force comes the need for more secure bases they lack mans's size or the knight's watch's fortifications so if they are to survive they must find a place to operate a place secure the group goes over a dozen locations but one place sticks out hard home though a ruin Jaris is confident he has enough manpower to rebuild and inhabit it many of the free folk are shocked by this development urging him to reconsider saying that evil things live there but while they fear Jaris will not back down and urges the others to follow the first to step forward is Sir Arthur DNE vowing to follow him no matter what the others see this faith and begin to Rally to his side Jaris takes a bold and drastic step he begins resettling harome many among the free folk are horrified by this decision Whispering of the Doom that once befell the place though at first he encounters no trouble and unease settles over the camp some wildlings unable to shake the fear that lingers in the ruins begin sneaking away retreating Into the Wilderness rather than remain in what they believe to be a cursed place we need a place to call our own we cannot Run Forever whoever haunts this place we will face it together he puts his people to work clearing out the Wilderness that is spread and making the houses habitable again they ignore the strange voices in the woods and simply focus on staying as close to the settlement as possible jarus makes an especially concerted effort to rebuild the walls of the town just as doubt begins to creep into his followers hearts a figure appears through the Mist her flowing red robes like fire against the cold eyes glowing with a knowing light massandra of asai steps into their midst and raises her hands gesturing for the young prince I have seen you in my Flames jaharis targarian the Lord of Light has shown me your path and it leads Through Fire and Shadow you have chosen an evil Place one where death still lingers but fear not not for I will cleanse it for here you shall find your destiny I offer you the Flames fire is the purest form of Truth only through it can we drive out the shadow skepticism and weariness greet her words but when she raises her hands and chants in a language older than the Seven Kingdoms Flames erupt from the ground the air Shimmers with heat as the fire pushes the cold back casting Eerie Shadows against the ruined structures the sight silences even the most hardened Warriors if fire can keep the Darkness at Bay then let it burn we will need every weapon at our disposal they quickly put her to work helping them clear out the forest and creating a safe zone for the people to inhabit but as word reaches them more wildlings begin to rush to J Harris's side thousands of them hear how kin halfhand offers his service and of his mysterious witch who controls the Flames this is enough to convince them to hurry to the silver-haired prince's side however their growing presence does not go unnoticed word reaches man's radar that Jaris is gathering Warriors at hardhome that he has tamed the cursed place and drawn powerful allies mans unwilling to allow a rival to his authority sends rattleshirt and a host of Warriors to put an end to this challenge before it takes root a brutal battle erupts beneath the cold Northern Sky a fresh sound emerges from the shrieking caves but these are very much alive as rattleshirt and his men emerge from the outcroppings thousands of them strike quick and hard however by this point hard home's walls have been rebuilt and are manned by Warriors as the free folk Clash against these structures they face a rign of arrows and Spears many fall before they even get close but a few manage to reach the base of the walls and scale up including rattleshirt however they face something worse Sir Arthur DNE makes his way forward casually cutting through enemy Raiders like a steel storm rattleshirt barely avoids one of his slashes and rolls over the edge of the wall where he comes face to face with Jaris himself the two raise their blades and Rush at each other rattleshirt rushes in and tries to overwhelm him his blade coming in quick thrusts and slashes that Force Jaris back but he does not yield ground instead he plants his feet and blocks these strikes before twisting aside and hitting him with the flat of his blade yield or I will send you to whatever Gods you pray to among the captured is a fiery haired woman with defiant eyes Egret though she regards Jaris with suspicion there is something else in her gaze curiosity you don't look so much like a king but I've seen worse stick around and you might change your mind as the cold wind howls through hard home massandra makes a drastic decision with the wild gathered she orders rattleshirt to be tied to a wooden P the Flames Roar to life as she speaks of sacrificing to feed the fire the gathered wildlings watch with mixed reactions some horrified turn away While others hardened by years of Bloodshed and old traditions except without protest among those shaken is Egret who watches in shock but Jaris places a steadying hand on her shoulder though he too wrestles with the sight before him since her capture the two have grown close Egret has come to act as an adviser of sorts for him she tells him the stories and customs of her people helping him understand those who pledge themselves to him the py Burns High into the night rattleshirt screams swallowed by the wind but as they die out for the first time in living memory the shrieking caves fall silent whatever fears remain to the hearts of the free folk they waver before this undeniable Omen while SRA leads Jaris Sir Arthur and Egret down into the depths of the caves they carry torches their Flames flickering against damp Stone as they descend into the forgotten Depths at the heart of the cavern they find something unusual an immense Stone unlike anything in Westeros mandre kneels before it her hands tracing its surface as she Whispers an ancient verse a bleeding star shall herrow the promise promised Prince this Rock has come from the heavens she lit to small fire and began to chant and then images began to flicker amidst the Flames the truth of hard holm's destruction is revealed it was not merely a disaster a meteor crashed into the town annihilating everything in an instant amidst the chaos the White Walkers and their whites descended upon the survivors slaughtering those who remained the meteorite before them is that very bleeding star spoken of in Prophecy Jaris touches the stone feeling the heat still lingering within it but Sir Arthur is silent he recalls feeling a similar material in his hands not too long ago during the days of the Rebellion when he was still the sword of the morning while he cares little for this red woman's Flames he cannot deny this sign he calls upon every wildling Smith to begin their work the finest among them gather hammering and shaping the otherworldly metal forging it into something greater than any mere blade malandra stands beside them chanting in her strange tongue weaving fire and Magic into the very heart of the metal the weapon takes form gleaming deadly a sword born of the heavens and tempered by fire but soon it finds itself tested as reports reach man's radar of what has transpired within days he begins marching at hardhome at the head of his entire Army some among Jar's growing followers urge him to fight to prove his claim with steel but Egret ever the voice of reason steps forward and pleads with him matz is no fool he came with an army eye but not just to avenge rattles shirt he came because he knows what's coming M common cause with him jeris we don't need another War if the blood of rattles Shir was enough to silence the shrieking caves imagine what the blood of a king could accomplish power such as this should not be wasted erret what we accomplished is a miracle Miracles will not winess this war steel will you're the hero jires but Heroes fall to Mad advisors and Whispering seductres remember that you know nothing jeris jeris hesitate considering her words he knows the magic of sacrifice is real but he also knows the cost he does not act at least not yet instead he steps forward his newly forged blade gleaming in the torch light his silver hair flowing behind him like something out of legend for a moment the town is silent as wild things from both sides stop to stare at him as he speaks I would speak with mat's Raider we need not be enemies we must not only flee from the white walkers we must fight them defeat them and save our people a hush Falls over the gathered free folk as Manz steps forward studying Jaris with a Keen Eye he nods gesturing for him to follow inside the largest tent the king Beyond the Wall reveals what he knows speaking of the White Walker movements their patterns their growing numbers he shares what he has of their weaknesses their fears and the ways they might be stopped in exchange he demands his army be allowed to Camp around hard home knowing it is relatively safe these terms are acceptable and Mance joins with Jar's Army without a drop of blood being spilled to their surprise jeris decides to go on the attack a bold move that both Melisandre and igrit strongly advise against Melisandre warns that his sword has not yet been properly blessed it requires one final ingredient the blood of azorah beloved but Jaris refuses to heed her words he has made promises to the free folk and they only follow Deeds not prophecies determined to strike first he gathers his best warriors and leads them into lands marked by White Walker activity armed with dragon glass weapons and hardened by necessity they wage war against the enemy at first their offensive proves successful the dragon glass mined from the land surrounding hard home gives them a crucial Edge Jaris personally slays several White Walkers and for the first time in living memory the free folk are not just fleeing from the cold specters of death but striking them down this emboldens as even with their whites the free folk charge fearlessly cutting them down with renewed Vigor the sight of Jaris leading them with his star sword emboldens them as they press deeper but the tide soon turns as their Advance continues they find themselves outmatched despite its properties Dragon glass is brittle eventually breaks and they can only replace it so quickly meanwhile the free folk lack of proper armor leaves them vulnerable the free folk for all their courage are not an army they are a militia fighting against an ancient Relentless Force casualties Mount the harsh Northern winds carry the screams of Fallen Warriors and soon they are left with no choice but to retreat wounded and weary they return to hard home but their retreat has not gone unnoticed they have awakened the beast the white walkers now move in force day and night men disappear only to rise again as whites no corner of hard home is safe tensions rise as fear grips even the bravest Hearts Jaris watches as his people fight desperately but no matter how many whites they cut down more rise to take their place the realization is undeniable courage alone will not be enough the free folk for all their numbers and spirit did not have the strength to challenge the white walkers alone and now the enemy presses forward closing in on hard home from all sides though Jaris rallies them it is clear they are at a disadvantage they do not have the means to truly challenge the white walkers for long every day their resources deplete as do his forces they will not be able to stand on their own for long faced with no other choice Jaris makes a drastic decision he will seek aid from the knights watch he intends to send Sir Arthur back to Castle black hoping that the sworn Brothers will see reason and offer their support however Egret vehemently opposes this plan on principle you would go crawling to the Cross this fight is madness lead Our People South beyond the wall with our numbers we could take it claim what's ours and place that ice between us and the white walkers no I've spent my life running cast out accomplished nothing but survival I will not do it again we fight for more than ourselves now we fight for the future his stubbornness frustrates EG beyond words she stands within the front lines helping her people wherever she can but the news is not good more of her friends die as the white walkers press closer as the wildlings all of them press closer to the town of hard home the chance to retreat dissipates and she feels like a caged animal when Sir Arthur departs to seek Aid she watches him go her jaw tight with anger later that night she approaches to Harris under the cover of Darkness gripping a knife her voice trembles with Fury and pain you consort with witches and strange Magics you know nothing jeris Jaris barely has time to react as she lunges her blade aimed for his heart he moves on Instinct his sword flashing in the dim light the steel Finds Its Mark and Egret gasps her strength fading as she falls into his arms tears blur his vision as he cradles her his breath ragged with sorrow I will not let our people die I swear it he pulls his sword from her body a shock runs through him the blade ignites fire dancing along its Edge the Flames cast Long Shadows flickering like the heartbeat of Destiny itself lightbringer has truly been born the final battle begins as the dead descend upon hard home with an unrelenting Fury with lightbringer in hand Jaris stands at the Forefront he raises his sword the Flames casting an ethereal glow over the battlefield and Bellows of war cry that shakes the heart of both the living and the dead the wildlings see the fire burning upon his blade and rally behind him the mere sight of it sets a fire in their hearts that was nearly dimmed they fight with a newfound ferocity hacking through whites with renewed purpose Jaris fights like a god of war cutting through the enemy left and right lightbringer Flames flow through him giving an energy on unlike any other as he seems almost Untouchable every swing of his blade turns whites to Ash and for the first time the advance of the Dead is halted as he presses forward and drives them back man's radar stays close his own sword flashing in the fire light as he guards Jar's flank ensuring no white slips past their defensive line from behind Melisandre lends her power calling upon the Flames of rollar to drive back the ice and Shadow fire erupts in the battlefield giving them the edge they so desperately need as the battle rages a terrible cold sweeps over the battlefield the dead frees in place for a moment and then part making way for the night King himself his blue eyes burn with ancient malice drawn to the sword that Jaris now carries but then a horn blows in the rear as the knight's watch suddenly appears from the forest at their head Sir Arthur raises his sword out High a battlecry ripping from his lips behind him benjin Stark rides closely behind and hundreds of others jarus can hardly believe what he sees but it is true he watches as the knights watch carves through their ranks and smashes through the dead though they are few they are armored and bear Dragon glass weapons that Sir Arthur brought with him more importantly they are mounted and smashed into their ranks the whites have committed all their forces into this attack leaving nothing to Halt this surprise attack it provides the wildlings a moment to breathe as they reform their lines as Jor and benjam and reorganized their forces into another charge Sir Arthur breaks off and runs to his Prince's side Jaris man and Sir Arthur exchange glances no words need to be spoken they Rush forward with a battlecry the three scatter and Rush at him from three sides the night King strikes his ice forged blade crashing against lightbringer in a collision of fire and frost the impact sends shock waves across the battlefield Jaris grits his teeth and presses forward his Flames fighting against the unnatural cold Mance attacks from the side thrusting his sword forward while Arthur strikes from the other the night King is impossibly fast his movements inhumanly precise none of their strikes seem to land as he slides through each attack they barely even manage to budge him as he holds his ground behind him the area begins to grow colder once again man and Arthur must pause to deal with this cold letting him rush out again sweeping his sword and throwing the pair back but Jaris does not falter with light bringer by his side the cold hardly seems to bother him he rushes through the storm striking the night King and finally sending him reeling he stumbles back and swings at him again though he rolls under the attack and drives his lightbringer into the night king's heart the Flames surge consuming the ancient evil and a torrent of fire and Light the Night King lets out a piercing scream as cracks spread across his Frozen form then he shatters into a thousand shards of ice and with him the white collapse their dark magic unraveling in an instant the battlefield falls into silence Jaris breathes heavily his hands still clenched around lightbringer's Hilt the battle is over the long night has been averted the free folk and the knight's watch Stand Together Victorious against the darkness and as the first rays of dawn break over the horizon the Flames of lightbringer flicker one last time before Fading Into Embers it's per purpose fulfilled with the battle done Jaris begins negotiations with the Knights watch he does not wish to continue the war instead he wants to sign a peace deal as king Beyond the Wall he will cease hostilities with the lands South in exchange for trade and cooperation the knights watch can serve as mediators while jeris takes his capital in hardhome that's our
