Jedi to supervise these efforts he is careful to select those who are known for their kind Hearts like kit Fisto CCT and teras anub they Journey to the lower districts and places most affected by the recent battle and begin to distribute relief Aid after years of being neglected the sight of Jedi and aid from the temple is a welcome sight and many people cheer them on but the situation is more dire than they realize Anakin urges these Jedi to not just help the people but listen to them to sit down and discuss their plights so they may find more ways to Aid them Anakin takes note of all their Grievances and brings them to pad may as an official report from a Jedi the chancellor gives his backing and it is as if new life was breathed into the opposition it seems like Anakin's ties with both of them are a boon for the Jedi Order and the opposition as they accomplish far more in these initial weeks than they were able to in months many in the Jedi Council like Obi-Wan and master plun are satisfied and welcome this change deciding that Yoda indeed made the right decision but others remain unconvinced however none of this keeps the nightmares at Bay though Anakin tries to keep busy he still must sleep and when he closes his eyes he's greeted by the same nightmares of Padme that he cannot ever shake off the difference is that Anakin now feels like he has someone to turn to although kitfisto is technically a councel representative he is jovial and talks to Anakin more like a friend and colleague rather than a master to a subordinate his disarming smile usually helps put are his and his alone he feels the deep love that Anakin feels for Padme more than he was letting on and certainly more than a platonic love yet Kit Fisto doesn't dwell on that and focuses on pushing the nightmares aside slowly Anakin's body begins to relax and he sleeps a bit easier Anakin I hope you understand that being the grandmas requires you to put your responsibilities above your attachments of course I've always put the Jedi first it is one thing to do that as a knight where your actions are your own but as the grandm the lives of every Jedi from the newest younglings to the oldest Masters are in your hands Master Yoda trust you with that and I believe you are doing an excellent job I simply ask that you keep all of this in mind master I know the council has had their soon realizes his nightmares are no longer effective as after that conversation his trust in the Jedi is Rock Solid at the same time the people's trust in the order begins to rise once again seeing his success on corusant Anakin is starting to begin organizing efforts to help people across the Galaxy he dispatches Jedi to planets recently recaptured in the outer rim and is starting to rebuild them there allowing refugees to return home and for people to assess the situation in the area the sight of the Jedi serving the people and not simply acting as army officers but keeping and building the peace is starting to win the people's trust back instead Palpatine directs his efforts to the weakest link the Jedi Council while the people may trust Anakin many the council still have their doubts they worry about Anakin's attachment and how it can affect his leadership first Palpatine endorses Anakin's plans to help the outer rim offering his support however he insists that the grandmas join them in meetings and functions so that he can State his case to other senators and potential allies this keeps Anakin busy as he spends weeks having to attend these events leaving Kit Fisto and the other Jedi to handle the day-to-day Affairs mace is less certain of this plan especially since they know a Sith Lord is lurking about in the Senate having Anakin spent so much time there could leave him vulnerable but the support Anakin receives millions and credits ships and volunteers to help rebuild the outer rim ensures he continues going there while Anakin is there Palpatine continues to broach the topic of Padme and her impending birth this brings back some of the old doubts and leaves Anakin distracted during meetings while kitfisto helps it doesn't solve his problem of the conflict between his loyalties to the Jedi and his attachment this doesn't escape Ma's attention and privately he approaches kitfisto Skywalker has been distracted during our meetings his mind is elsewhere he's under a great deal of pressure Master Wu the Galaxy expects much of him and he's trying to rise to the occasion true but we must be certain he's up for the task you've been assigned to guide him surely you've sensed it what troubling him he he's had dreams nightmares of senator amadala they have been taking away his attention dreams of a senator he spends too much time in the Senate as it is isn't she one of his chief allies in the Senate do you see how this could compromise him compromise us if this were to get out I have spoken to him about it he insists the dreams are just dreams I am certain that Anakin will do what is right so far he has been doing an excellent job for now but what if the time comes to choose between her and us or what if he has other attachments he can't be a leader of the Jedi Order if his heart is tied elsewhere though kitfisto tries to dissuade his friend he can see that Ma's Mind Is Made Up Anakin is compromised in his eyes and must be dealt with Grandmaster Skywalk ER your focus has been difficult to sense lately tell me do the Affairs of the Senate weigh heavier than those of the Jedi Master Wu my focus is where it needs to be on the order in the Galaxy if you have a concern say it plainly oh it's no concern just an observation spending so much time with Senators can blur the line between Duty and attachment wouldn't you agree no you'll oversee the rebuilding efforts in the lower districts May glare stares at The Grandmaster and for a moment it seems like he will try to protest but some of the council stands up and gives mace a warning look slowly he exhales and nods his head very well Grandmaster Anakin ends the meeting early deciding to cool off first but as he closes his eyes he feels another surge in the force he expects to enter the now familiar birthing room but to his surprise he finds himself elsewhere instead he is in a stardust destroyer and watches as Blaster bolts fly past the Halls from the smoke he spots Ahsoka running through the fire her lightsabers spinning back and blocking the bolts for a second he thinks that the mandalorians or droids have attacked her ship but as she disappears down the hall he is stunned to see her attackers or clones wearing white and blue armor anakan calls out but she can't hear him the scene shifts and he sees the Clones in close their blasters aimed directly at her in the medical Bay Anakin wakes abruptly drenched in sweat his heart racing but as he buries his hands into his face another memory probes into his mind another Jedi murder this one is the one he witnessed personally on Ringo vinda one of his clones tup murdered a Jedi master while on the planet he grabs his robes and rushes toward the hanger he tells only kitfisto and CC as they are the only ones who he trusts with this information as his Starship departs one clone watches from the Shadows pretending to be focused on maintenance work as he observes them once he's alone he contacts Palpatine it's just as you said sir erakin Skywalker has departed good continue to monitor the situation should things turn volatile as Anakin departs he tries to contact Ahsoka for a long moment he receives no response and Anakin's heart begins to pound faster as he wonders if he's tooo late but a moment later ahsoka's face appears Anakin sigh with relief as he asks if she's all right and if anything happened confused Ahsoka explains that nothing's wrong and they haven't had any other problems but then she glances up at Rex who also receives a transmission and suddenly Blaster fire damages the signal he can only tell Ahsoka to get the ship out of hyperspace and send her coordinates before it it's cut off taking a deep breath Anakin's Starship enters hyperspace and that moment the two Jedi Masters make their way to Anakin's chamber striding purposefully as they prepare to confront the grandmas but before they reach his doors kitfisto and ccen block their path from an adjoining hallway master window Kolar what brings you here I saw Anakin leave the temple in the middle of the night something is not right I contacted Master Wu immediately Grandmaster Skywalker is on a mission of personal importance nothing that concerns the order at this moment personal importance his focus should be on the order and the order alone if he is not here then that is my concern you were tasked with keeping an eye on him where does your loyalty lie kit our loyalty is with the people of the Republic step aside CCE or be moved CC teen and kit share one look and both ignite their lightsabers mace and aen do the same and both sides Rush at one another mace rushes kit with an upward strike but but he asid steps the attack and tries to sweep Ma's leg though the older Jedi Master shifts stance and pulls his leg aside blocking up the following attack meanwhile CCE and aenar lock lightsabers their weapons flashing as the zabra Jedi moves forward and Reigns blows on his fellow Jedi Master while they are non-lethal strikes meant to injure they still keep CCE on his toes and block the attack he soon backs up to the door but then Ducks under a slash that Sears through the wall he counters by throwing a force push that throws a g back as he stumbles to the ground he kicks him in the face kitfisto continues to dodge and duck under Ma's attacks his movements are slippery as he Dodges against each attack he keeps his movements careful and makes the occasional thrust and stab that prevents mace from committing to the attack entirely but instead of backing down mace continues to press forward he waits until kitfisto tries to make a slash and catches his arm he pushes his arm upward and thrusts his palm out sending the Jedi to the ground he tumbles to the ground and mace is about to push past him when they hear footsteps from behind that's enough freeze suddenly a squad of clones appears and surrounds them pointing their blasters at him General Wu General kala you are both under arrest for attempting to Stage a coup against the Jedi Order Commander while I am grateful for your help I do not think your presence here is required this is a Jedi Affair not anymore as of now the chancellor has ordered the military to take over you're required to stand down as we secure the area all of you suddenly the distant sound of heavy boots echo through the corridors the unmistakable sound of marching clones grows louter drawing closer Fox reaches for his blasters and glances at the Jedi who all look to each other for a moment their differences are forgotten as they use the force to throw them aside and rush out to Rally the temple meanwhile Anakin followed the coordinates he received from Ahsoka and then made his way over for a few tense hours he is left wondering what happened to Ahsoka and his arrival on the moon hardly makes it better as he enters the atmosphere he finds deep plumes of smoke from the ruins of the tribunal ahsoka's military transport he shakes his head and starts to head down to investigate his lightsaber ready but as he enters the ruined Hangar he is greeted by a grim sight there he finds a line of Clone helmets resting on blasters and sticks in a hastily erected Monument he trembles and stands over the shrine recognizing the helmets of many clones Like Jesse there's a sound behind him and he whirls around finding Ahsoka crouched beside Captain Rex who is slumped against a broken piece of the hull Ahsoka Rex you're alive barely most of the others didn't make it what but didn't they attack you wasn't there a mutiny General Skywalker there's something you need to know about the Clones about me the chancellor he gave the order order 66 it was programmed into us and when he said it I I couldn't stop it I tried to fight it but my buddy it wasn't my own Palpatine did this are you sure it was ordered directly from the chancellor it wasn't just Rex it was all the Clones on the ship they were controlled by inhibitor chips are the other Jedi no no when I left everything was normal oh no we have to get back right now and report this he gathers whatever data they have recordings from the ships the inhibitor chip and any data it contains and Anakin sends it to Padme the three hurry back to the Jedi Temple in their ships the faint cries of younglings fill the air as they are hurried into Chambers to hide while Jedi Masters and knights fight desperately against waves of Clone Troopers at their head the four members of the Jedi Council desperately tried to Rally their forces organizing defenses and lead the troops they managed to barricade the temple and hold the Clones off but their numbers are endless and the communications are cut off preventing them from getting reinforcements from the outside the few Snippets they do manage to find reveal a grim picture as Palpatine concocts a story of how there is a civil war in the temple and how the Clones were there to restore order Mace Windu Kit Fisto CC and aen colar formed a protective circle around a group of younglings the Jedi Masters are worn but Relentless their Sabers whirling as they hold off the advancing clones but as they are about to be overwhelmed they hear fighting from outside the Clones then begin to turn back and fire at Unseen threats to their surprise they find Ahsoka Anakin and Rex who are fighting through the threat Skywalker about time you showed up the Clones aren't our only problem Palpatine's behind this we have to before he can finish the fighting seems to die out in an instant the Clones stand down and look at each other in confusion the Jedi lower their Sab slightly Breathing heavily Order 66 rescinded repeat Order 66 is rescinded Stand Down what just happened it's Palpatine he sent secret commands to execute the Jedi he did it first to Ahsoka and I think he did it here but I sent the data to Padme and she must have convinced the Senate it's over for now not yet we still have to find Palpatine there was one figure with us he broke off from the main force it could be the chancellor I couldn't tell though since he was cloaked teams of Jedi and clones are sent through the temple to find this mysterious Foe kitfisto and Anakin Join one but it does not take long for them to find him reports of fighting soon break out of Jedi trying to clash with them and clones trying to fight them Anakin and kid Fisto double back as they follow the trail of Destruction the bodies of Fallen Jedi and clones litter the Halls the scars of combat fresh on the walls he finds Palpatine kneeling in the middle of the main hall his robes tattered and his face Twisted in pain his Crimson lightsaber held in his hands Skywalker you've arrived just in time the Jedi they've betrayed me betrayed the Republic save it for the Senate Palpatine Rises slowly his face twists into a Sinister grin you dare challenge me boy even wounded I will destroy you I see humility as something consistent with your personality Sith Lord The Duel begins with an explosion of energy as Palpatine throws a shock wave of the force that tears the ground up sending smoke rising up as Palpatine leaps through the air his attacks a blur as if his injuries aren't there at all he attacks with overwhelming speed putting anigan on the defensive while kitfisto moves up to help him their lightsabers collide with thunderous Force slashing at each other kitfisto tries to move from the side and join the attack but Palpatine Ducks under his attack and kicks him aside leaving anigan to face the brunt of the attack desperately anigan tries to reach for the cracked wall pulling some loose stones out and dropping it on Palpatine who is forced to break off the attack the chancellor growls and catches the rubble midair and throws it back at him Anakin Ducks under the attack while kitfisto moves closer slashing and hacking through the rubble the two Rush at him together meeting his speed with their experience and coordination each time he attacks they are there to protect each other the force of their blows is enough to shake the foundation of the walls further kitfisto scores another wound across Palpatine's side and slides it down to his thigh he whirls back just as Palpatine slashes at him who uses his anger to fuel him further growling he tries to get closer swinging his lightsaber in a fierce slash and forces the two to divide once again he focuses his attention on kitfisto as their lightsabers Clash but he lacks the same power as Anakin and slowly begins to give ground suddenly one cut flies across his stomach and drops the Jedi Master to his knees but Anakin stops the killing blow and glares at him come now don't tell me you care for this Jedi Master however Anakin responds with a sudden surge of energy his attacks are like nothing he ever faced and suddenly Palpatine's lightsaber flies from his hand and before he can react anakan drives it into his heart the Chancellor's eyes go wide as he drops to the ground with Palpatine dead and his orders rescinded Padme manages to land the job as Chancellor for her work helping rebuild the Galaxy alongside Anakin she now fully refocuses her efforts on rebuilding the Galaxy meanwhile Anakin offers to resign his position as grandmas taking full responsibility for the attack on the Jedi Temple however to his surprise m window of all people advocates for him he points out how anakan was the one who uncovered Palpatine's plot and if he hadn't left then they might never have learned about Order 66 until it was too late Yoda agrees and announces that he shall permanently step down and allow Anakin to replace him with the council's full support that's our Theory the Star Wars universe is a Galaxy filled
