purpose the scientists and doctors get to work taking a skin sample for his burnt flesh and using it to synthesize the limbs one by one they begin to replace his limbs even the Lost arm to Dooku next they begin to replicate his skin and face healing the burns that Rush across his body it takes months of effort in multiple operations but in the end Anakin glances in the mirror and smiles at himself he looks exactly like he did at the start of the Clone Wars youthful handsome and without the scars that would form Palpatine is equally surprised to see his student recover he is is pleased to see it though as it allows him to have the ideal Apprentice they begin to train in the dark side and Anakin soon emerges as a powerful Dark Side user with his Natural undamaged Body he can harness the force in ways that were impossible as Darth Vader and eagerly takes in Palpatine's lessons however the initial excitement Palpatine felt soon gives way to worry and distrust although Anakin is indeed powerful he also begins to view him as a threat Anakin's w rapid Mastery of the force makes him realize that he may soon be able to threaten the emperor but aside from that Anakin and Skywalker also retains the respect and admiration for the people his exploits in the Clone War have made him a hero to normal people in the Senate he may be a threat to his power so rather than name him his Heir and allow him to rule alongside him Palpatine instead keeps Anakin as his General something he has done for several years and orders him to quell the unrest in the outer rim left over from the Clone Wars this keeps him far away from the levers of power effectively sidelining him at first Anakin was displeased with these efforts but continued his duty as the general leading the 501st through several worlds and crushing any CIS holdouts however anigan feels a sense of kinship he hasn't felt in many years with these clones with the Jedi gone and Pad May dead they are perhaps his last connection to his old self the one group who still respects and admires him despite everything that's happened this gives him a strong sense of loyalty to these men the Loyalty only grows as anak can sees what Palpatine intends to do with the Clones replace them with the Stormtrooper core a flicker of righteous Fury ignites an Anakin when he hears this the clones have served the Republic and now the empire dutifully for many years and have given no cause for trouble but here Palpatine was ready to replace them without a second thought and Anakin realized he nearly ended up the same way he does not let this happen quietly anakan is a vocal critic of these plans to replace the Clones shaming Senators for not even thanking them or assisting them in the retirement this allows him to form an unexpected alliance with the reformist faction who continue to oppose Palpatine's rule while Bale cannot forgive Anakin for what he did to Padme he is not in a position to reject his Aid either and the two form an alliance Anakin takes this even a step further as he offers to take all the remaining clones under his service if a general wishes to dismiss them he can send them to his army Palpatine eagerly accepts this suggestion and thousands of clones bolster the ranks of the 501st he knows that the logistics of maintaining an army this vast will take its toll on his forces leaving Anakin floundering this proves to be true as in his next few campaigns Anakin constantly struggles with supplies and Logistics though his forces remain as effective as ever food shortages are common as are his men having to ration IM amunition towards the end there are even fears that Anakin must withdraw as some Droid holdouts realize they only need to wait him out this bogs down his campaign as the CIS holdouts simply disappear or refuse to battle this forces Anakin to waste further resources chasing them down Anakin does eventually get creative and begins to recruit Smugglers and Pirates to help him bring supplies to his army allowing him to clear a sector of droids but as soon as he finishes he realizes this cannot last forever his clones will eventually be whittel down while Palpatine grows his forces but as Anakin looks at these War torn worlds an idea Springs to his mind he has his allies in the Senate propose a radical solution that the Clones be allowed to settle in recaptured Worlds in the outer rim with their loyalty to The Republic they are unlikely to turn against them and their military skills will discourage Strife Palpatine jumps at the idea taking credit for it and ensuring his Governors are placed in charge of these areas to prevent Anakin from calling on the Clones the Clones are indeed settled given Farms or money to live out their lives under the expectation that they will never be called to serve once again but with the governor's loyal to Palpatine this raises problems for Anakin who cannot rely on their loyalty instead he must try using the force to get his way as he practices the dark side one technique he works on is manipulating minds and influencing thoughts those governors he cannot intimidate or bribe become his targets as he slowly influences their minds turning them away from Palpatine and making them more amenable to his wishes slowly the territories Anakin controls develop into a robust and peaceful sector of the Galaxy standing out in the outer rim this is helped by the number of people fleeing the Empire former CIS officials administrators who feel out of favor and even camans are welcome here to build up the state Anakin's reformist and criminal allies help bring those people here these allies help govern his Holdings providing him with much needed support to fund his armies and keep them campaigning to help cin noens offered to begin creating more clones in secret they build hidden cloning facilities across Anakin's worlds which he agrees to although this process will take almost a decade before the first batch will be ready until then he must buy his time with the governor under his control the military loyal to him and allies in the Senate Anakin operates in his conquered territory in the outer rim virtually as an independent warlord this leaves Palpatine as the dormant power so far as he ensures Anakin does not receive many more soldiers as the time goes on his power diminishes while the emperor grows stronger and he is careful to punish any act deemed to go against the Empire's interests in the meantime Anakin must continue building his strength elsewhere to keep his troops honed and to gather riches while he does war with Rebel cells around his territory Anakin also turn turns his attention towards the huts and other criminal elements while the emperor lets them live in peace Anakin raids their territories to steal their wealth using his army of criminals to wage a massive gang war stealing ships weapons and sometimes planets these actions allow him to continue training his soldiers but also allow him to access resources as he can steal whatever the Huts don't provide him Anakin takes an active part in this war sometimes leading raids personally especially against his old foe Jabba the Hut during one Mission Anakin tries to Rally the sand people against Jabba promising them weapons supplies and trade to raid Jabba's Holdings but as they finish making the agreement Anakin and his men head to a nearby community to gather supplies for their return trip one moisture Farm reluctantly plays host to them Anakin notices a young man tending to evaporat her in the distance his bright blonde hair catching the light something stirs in him an instinct a familiarity he cannot explain he motions for the boy to bring him some refreshment as he hands Anakin a forward and join the fight and burn these Farms to the ground if ordered Obi-Wan realizes he is in a delicate situation and is gambling with the lives of many others slowly he takes a deep breath if Luke's training but understand this old man Luke is my Soldier now I care for my men I don't betray them soon a reluctant agreement forms between the two as a zi-wan cannot stop Luke from leaving so he goes with him posing as a former Republic strategist he works closely with Anakin and handles the training of Luke as a Jedi letting him teach Luke in the force although it seems like Anakin is in a dominant position his situation is more precarious than they realize Palpatine is waiting for the chance to strike against him and fully overpower his apprentice's faction if he hears that Anakin found his son he will send his armies to crush his forces in the end he must appease obiwan to ensure the safety of Luke and his forces however he meant every word he said and intended to be a part of Luke's life although he doesn't reveal himself and takes him as an apprentice as he wishes he still teaches him about piloting and allows him to serve in his Fleet when he passes the Imperial Academy in his territory to obw surprise Anakin also wasn't lying when he said that he cared about the men under his command everywhere he goes he finds clones some in their Twilight years along with the planetary Defense Forces he managed to gather fanatically loyal to him they recall how well Anakin governs them and how he takes all their concern seriously many clones are allowed to retire peacefully if they wish or are too injured to fight settle down and even start families their loyalty runs so deep that many of their sons and daughters join his army meanwhile those fleeing the Empire are kept safe under Anakin's protection Obi-Wan finds himself thinking of padme's words of how there was still good an Anakin and wonders whether she was right however he still sees the darkness in him he sees how ruthlessly he kills his enemies manipulates the minds of his Rivals and how he surrounds himself with criminals who do his bidding Luke soon grows up to be Anakin's second in command unfortunately Anakin is still not fully independent from the Empire and Palpatine has long known that Anakin is building his strength against him so he begins to weaken his forces further and drive a wedge between him and his allies in the Senate the emperor explains that Rebel activity is growing alderon ships have been used by rebels and he orders Anakin to wipe them out Anakin has no choice but to obey sending his troops out to crush them Obi-Wan is stunned by this and reminds him that those are his allies but Anakin refuses deeming keeping his faction survival more important than a few Rebels Anakin tries to warn Bale ordering him to have the rebels lay low but many of these sects are acting independently and are devoted to their cause and refuse to back down this leads to clashes across Imperial space between Rebels and anigan Legions Palpatine makes sure that Anakin receives little aid from other areas leaving the bulk of the casualties to come from his forces with many clones aging out of combat Readiness Anakin must increasingly recruit conscripts and mercenaries this puts pressure on Anakin to end the Rebellion quickly and his forces destroy dozens of Rebel cells and flotillas to whittle them down while it preserves his army it creates friction between him and Bale who sees Anakin's disregard for Rebel lives as they finish off with one small Fleet a single ship attempts to escape into hyperspace but Anakin's Flagship quickly Reigns turbo laser fire on it and disables its engines clones and mercenaries soon board the ship fighting through waves of rebels but they soon begin fighting against the ship itself as it acts up thanks to sabotage efforts made by Leia Orana circuits and panels erupt in miniature explosions while doors lock squads of Stormtroopers in Halls and explosives are planted in vents this leads to slow deck by deck fighting that claims many more lives than Anakin is willing to accept by the time Luke Anakin and obiwan arrive in the last few rooms the dark lord is fuming and in little mood for Mercy he strides through the chamber deflecting Blaster fire as he throws Rebels off their feet and slashes through their ranks with his lightsaber but before he can finish them off their leader fires her Blaster and rushes at him Anakin deflects these clumsy shots and begins to choke her with the force Leia's eyes widen as she's lifted off the ground her father prepares to finish her off when a figure leaps between them and slashes his lightsaber at him at the last second Anakin ignites his weapon and the two are blocking blades what is the meaning of this trust me you'll thank me later but you do not want to harm This Girl's Life still weak as ever Obi One how many men do I have to bury because of her actions no a price has to be paid somewhere even at the price of your own daughter look into her eyes and see if you do not see anything familiar Leia Luke and Anakin are all equally surprised by this and he pulls Leia close as her helmet falls to the ground and he gets a better look he begins to see The Familiar features but there is more The Familiar presence in the force he drops her to the ground his hands shaking as he realizes what he was about to do Anakin's voice breaks and he drops to his knees Luke helps Anakin and looks at Obi-Wan why did you never tell us it was a difficult Choice when you were born I wished to keep Leia safe especially with the Empire and your father's War but it seems that there is no more hiding yes Leia is your daughter she was kept Out Of Reach to prevent her from falling to the darkg side this man is not my father I will never associate with one of the emperor's dogs Leia I despise the Emperor as much as you we share the same foe I'm sorry for hurting you please you are no better than him you talk about how many of your soldiers died how many of my men did I lose because of the emperor's orders to you how many of my friends are gone because of you she storms off and prepares to accept captivity but Anakin offers to let her stay with him and Luke Leia prefers to remain in the dungeon with her troops however her words leave a lasting impression on her father who falls into a depression although Luke tries to talk to him and raise his spirits it is to no avail for the first time Vader realizes how far he's fallen and how close he was to truly doing something he'd regret it leads him to think back at some of his previous actions Obi-Wan senses this as well and approaches his meditation chamber you've always been harder on yourself than anyone else could ever be perhaps I should be how many lives have I ruined Obi-Wan is what she said true how many people have suffered because of me all this time I've wished to become better than the emperor certainly more powerful power doesn't make you better actions are what matter and the emperor would not have concerned himself self with the Clones or provided Sanctuary to these Exiles he would murder these people I never said you were perfect you've caused harm but it's not the end of the road there is still going back from it you think I can just erase all this Leia despises me and I can't blame her she's right you don't erase the past Anakin you carry it and become better nothing is certain in the future but your actions can determine what happens next I nearly killed her Obi-Wan my daughter what kind of father am I what kind of man am I the kind who has a lot of work to do and it can start by ending this Empire Palpatine I have an idea but it's bold and be one thank you a few moments later Anakin's private Clone Army is now ready and he wastes no time in unleashing them on the Galaxy using Leia's connections Anakin orders Rebel strikes all across Imperial territory they attack Imperial facilities Depots and factories but they are all soon joined by a mysterious Fleet These Are anakan Soldiers his mercenaries and his new clones their arrival Causes Chaos in the ranks of the Empire as they overweel The Defenders meanwhile Vader takes his most veteran units and Crosses into imperial space heading to corusant to transport Leia to safety but as he arrives these hardened veterans do not treat the capital with reverence but with anger they unleash their anger on the Empire after years of mistreatment smoke billows into the air as Tie fighters engage in brutal dog fights overhead on the ground Palpatine stands on a landing pad unbothered by the Flames burning around him as his eyes take in the sight offboarding a shuttle anigan strides down flanked by Obi-Wan and Luke Leia follows a few steps behind guarded by several of Anakin's elite soldiers but they break off to help organize the attackers so you finally shown your hand Lord Vader or should I call you Anakin Skywalker the Galaxy is endured your tyranny long enough cidus your Reign ends here fool boy I made you do you think your pitiful Rebellion can stop me you forget who truly Wills the power of the dark side without warning the emperor unleashes a torrent of Force lightning at the group who leaps back from the attack Anakin ignites his lightsaber while Luke and Obi-Wan leap to either side to flank him the three Jedi working in unison against the Sith Lord Palpatine moves with terrifying speed his Crimson lightsaber a blur as he parries and counters their strikes Decades of experience guide him allowing him to shift and block each attack with impressive Grace their first Salvo ends with almost no damage though they do drive him back Anakin's blows are heavy and relentless while Obi-Wan's precision and Luke's raw determination press him seeing him give ground the three press their advantage their movements move in sync constantly striking at the same time time or taking an opportunity when Palpatine attacks one even with his experience this begins to Tire Palpatine who throws a wave of dark energy and leaps back he catches his breath and Palpatine rushes at them swinging his lightsaber in vicious arcs he manages to injure Anakin's shoulder but rather than falter he rushes forward and catches his next attack for a moment their lightsabers lock and he throws Palpatine back a second attack from Obi-Wan forces Palpatine to LEAP aside seeing that he can't overwhelm Anakin with the others the emperor turns to Luke and rushes at him he throws another wave of dark energy to keep the other two Jedi back as Palpatine moves to Luke his blade comes dangerously close to Luke's neck on its first strike Luke Dodges the second and blocks the third the Palpatine's attack inches closer and closer seeing this the emperor redoubles his efforts and manages to strike Luke's leg sending him sprawling under the ground Palpatine raises a hand blasting a wave of lightning but suddenly Luke comes forward catching Palpatine's arm and pushing it away electricity flows through him but he ignores it and continues to push Leia notices the scuffle and sees Anakin struggling to defend Luke she picks up her Blaster and fires a few shots one manages to strike him on the shoulder sending him sprawling forward she fires again and this time Palpatine blocks with his lightsaber this momentary distraction is all Anakin needs he grabs Palpatine by the back of his head and holds him in place the Dark Lord's eyes widen as Anakin holds his lightsaber across the emperor's neck no this cannot be without another word he falls to the ground Anakin looks at Leia in Surprise then nods his head gratefully the death of the emperor and the new offensive against their rule throws his empire into turmoil the rebels waste no time in pressing their attack gaining more ground while Anakin and his forces support them the Imperial forces were pushed back and forced to enter peace talks although Anakin is initially offered the throne by most of the Imperial officers he declines this in favor of ruling his small Kingdom instead he hands Over Control to B Orana who begins the process of bringing the Empire back to its roots the Republic Anakin instead focuses his efforts on ruling but also spending time with his kids Luke becomes the leader of his military forces when he sees Leia's potential skills in politics he supports her Endeavors over time and with the guidance of Obi-Wan the pair begin to repair the relationship with Anakin Leia even begins Jedi
