the Republic It's clouding the Jedi's judgment it has failed us it failed the people we were supposed to protect but Luke promises something more this isn't you Baris the Jedi don't turn their backs on the Republic the Republic turned its back on us long ago Anakin lunges at Baris his blue lightsaber a streak of light but instead of connecting with her a third lightsaber appears and holds him back Luke steps forward his eyes burning with determin a as he glares at him throwing his father back and getting into a defensive stance that's enough Anakin you he spins toward Luke his strikes wild yet powerful but Luke matches his father move for move eventually Anakin breaks through with a ferocious strike that throws Luke back Anakin follows up with more attacks their blades dance in a dazzling display of skill blue and green light flashing in every direction Luke is careful dodging each attack with practiced Grace though some Miss only by a hair's breath he keeps his movements precise and his face calm you're better than this I've seen what you're capable of what's in your heart you fight for those you love even as he Ducks under a ferocious attack he continues talking but these only seem to fuel his anger he cannot bring himself to accept this he believes everything that Palpatine says and that Luke must be fooling them he screams and slashes again but Luke whirls aside suddenly his lightsaber comes up and blocks the attack though Anakin tries to push forward Luke refuses to yield and shoves him back you don't fight for yourself you fight for peace for Padme his words are barely above a whisper keeping it quiet from the others but still sends Anakin freezing his next strike falters what did you say Padme I know how much you care for her how everything you if all Darkness he carried seemed to have emptied out he sees how when it comes down to things he chooses to save his son and help the Galaxy he sees how Luke refuses to give in the dark side and when he looks at Luke now he sees the same gaze there is good in you father there always has been and there is now Anakin looks around his gaze darting between Baris the civilians still fighting with the droids and finally Luke doubt clouds his expression as the weight of the vision presses on him for a long moment Anakin says nothing the battlefield seems distant The Sounds muffled as he wrestles with the truth he's been shown finally he retrieves his lightsaber and DEA activates it Anakin orders his troops to stand down although confused the men comply and lower their weapons ending the battle they make Camp some distance away letting Anakin approach Luke where the two discuss what Luke knows it's Palpatine he's manipulating everyone the Republic the Jedi the separatists all of it is part of his plan to destroy the Jedi and seize total power for himself that's impossible Palpatine is the Supreme Chancellor he's trying to save the Republic trying to stop this war no Anakin he's using the war to consolidate power he orchestrated it from the beginning the Clone Army the separatists the Jedi they're all tools to him it's why I had to join the CIS they are the only ones in a better position to act you are the key to this plan he wants to turn you into his greatest weapon he manipulated you into betraying the Jedi you became Darth Vader his enforcer no that's not true I would never you saw it but it doesn't have to happen that's why I'm here to stop him and to help you stop him too if what you're saying is true then we need to act but we can't do it alone Palpatine controls the Senate the military everything don't worry I'm getting help and I just need you to get him here once alone Luke heads to his quarters to write to Dooku Dooku I have long told you that I success he reports the entire system was captured by his forces a surprise success that comes at lightning speed when words reach corusant the chancellor is pleased and showers Anakin with praise but even with this adulation Anakin seems uncertain and his expression shows he admits that he begins to have doubts about their mission he says he saw how fanatically the people fought here and how desperately they defended their homes he doesn't feel like a hero instead he feels no better than the separatists as always the chancellor is ready to answer giving some kind words of advice he explains that he understands Anakin's worry and while it might not seem like it now all of this is for the greater good he assures Anakin that once the war is over peace and security shall reign he then offers to celebrate Anakin's Victory to show him how much the people appreciate his efforts soon after Palpatine personally arrives to escort Anakin back back to corusant they arrive at the dusty staging area just outside the city although Palpatine claims this is to honor his friend he wishes to ensure there are no doubts about his plan and nothing is left to chance Anakin and Palpatine head off to talk along the outskirts of the city but Luke is already waiting in the shadows the moment Palpatine steps forward the attack begins Luke and Anakin spring into action their lightsabers igniting in unison for a moment Palpatine is surprised and nites his lightsaber to block Anakin While redirecting Luke's weapon to the sand traitors no Chancellor the only traitor here is you we shall see Execute Order 66 there is no response from the Clones in the camp most remain where they are as Anakin and Luke Rush forward their attacks move like lightning forcing Palpatine to defend against them his lightsaber twists and Spins to Halt their advance but one strike Sears his shoulder Anakin glow at him his lightsaber flashing as he Rains Down attacks on him he moves with renewed ferocity taking a leaping strike that forces Palpatine to dodge so it is true well we had my men switch places with the Clones who had their inhibitor chips removed by Luke snarling Palpatine extends his hand and unleashes a wave of Force lightning that puts them on the defensive the two ready their lightsabers and Rush forward dodging the attacks and feeling the electricity rushing past them somehow they managed to get in close and cross blades once again Palpatine is ready his attacks charged by the dark side and reigning down on Luke who tries to defend against his attacks but the ground shakes Underneath Him Palpatine does not allow him any reprieve as his attacks are Relentless one manages to strike him along the thigh and drops him to his knee Palpatine kicks him aside just as Anakin rushes to his defense he blocks the next attack and tries to counter it their lightsabers Clash a dozen times little more than flickers of light as Anakin tries to break through how however Palpatine's defenses remain impenetrable and he shoves Anakin back and tumbles over Luke's body the chancellor rushes forward to finish them off but Luke's hand shoots forward and throws a clump of sand at him the coarse rough substance gets everywhere and momentarily blinds him Palpatine hisses and wipes his eyes as the pair Force pushes him back that's my boy Palpatine's Fury boils over but before he can retaliate a new figure enters the room Count Dooku Dooku kill them prove your loyalty to me your time is over cidus I serve the Galaxy not you the Galaxy will no longer suffer under your tyranny with that Dooku joins Luke and Anakin the three of them driving Palpatine back as he is pushed entirely on the defensive the Sith Lord for the first time in decades begins to falter despite his Mastery of lightsaber combat nothing prepares him for this and all three Drive their lightsabers into him Dooku testifies everything he plotted with the chancellor revealing him to be a Sith Lord but this isn't enough those in the CIS Parliament urged the Republic to reform their government similar to what Luke did in his sector those are the only terms they will accept with the support of padme's reformists the Republic reluctantly agrees ending the Clone Wars entirely and sparing countless lives Dooku AIDS Luke in establishing this new government acting as a liaison for him and the CIS while Anakin helps him win over the Jedi once this is done Luke disappears from the Galaxy just as quick as he appeared but before he leaves he sees Anakin's star rising in the Jedi Order becoming a master and later The Grandmaster with his reforms he eventually steps down once he hears Padme is pregnant though to become a father to his children allowing Obi-Wan to succeed him as grandmas
