their loyalty to the king aside from that Robert decides to summon Stannis to court he first sends a raven but then decides to send someone personally and orders one of his few trustworthy Kings guard Aries oart to journey to Dragonstone and summon Stannis personally telling him to sail the King's Landing immediately meanwhile Balon Swan is sent south to summon renley immediately however while the gold cloaks are momentarily cowed Lord Janna slint knows how precarious his position is his lordship and control over harrenhal all depend on his favor with the Lannisters in the dead of night he and a group of his most loyal men break into the red keep and free Joffrey spiriting him out with the help of Sir Preston Greenfield they slay his guards and make their way out of the city they nearly Ed with Cersei herself but Baris and Sir Marin are both caught by Sir Mand and Moore who kills them when he hears of the news Robert makes his decision Cersei is executed outside the red keep in full view of the small folk while this sends a powerful message that the king is alive and strong it also means there can be no peace with the Lannisters however Robert's position in King's Landing is far from secure though Cersei herself is gone her supporters remain a few of the Lannister supporters who were not detained begin to try to stir up trouble in the city with tommen and Marcela still in his custody they make it sound like the cruel King Robert is holding his children against their will and how his injuries have driven him mad the Lannisters are not particularly popular in the city but behind the true king slowly but surely the riots are quelled though pockets of resistance remain meanwhile word arrives from the south as one of reny's messgers arrives accompanied by Balon Swan and a small contingent of storm lenders he is marching North with a host of his own already renley is leading a large force of Cavalry at full speed the Infantry is slower but Stan ascends most of the royal Fleet to begin fing them as quickly as possible but these efforts are not fast enough Scouts report that the Lannister forces are just days away however they do not attack right away Tywin first offers terms he will withdraw his forces and pledge peace even handing over Joffrey if tommen is recognized as Heir it's a clever Ploy he'll do whatever it takes to hold on to power even if it means he talked to them sat them on his lap without ever realizing just who they truly were even then he thinks of Ned working so hard to repair the realm and clean the mess he created he knew he was far from perfect but to have made blunders such as this how could that have happened he realized to his horror that it wasn't Joffrey or Cersei or Tywin that killed net it was him and his neglect Gods how could I have been so blind this isn't time for self-pity the truth is out now and you have a choice to make will you fight for your throne or will you let ta and lanus steal it from you let him try them Taiwan is forced to break off and retreat his men practically disappear overnight as by the next day their camps are abandoned as they Retreat to the westerlands however the barathan siblings are giving him a chance to rest his army already exhausted from a Siege begins to disintegrate even as houses from the crownlands join the assault turning this Retreat into a blood match by the time the dust settles Tywin and Joffrey's heads are presented to robbert while the remaining Lannisters come to terms now the time comes to make peace this proves much easier than making War as many factions are exhausted and eager to come to terms the first are the Starks and tulies while they originally declared Rob King in the north Robert's presence complicates things as he was the king of all of them wrought by the Lannisters himself he doesn't see glory and victory simply destruction and Chaos there are burnt out villages in more bodies than he can count women children and the elderly are all killed in a senseless War what he doesn't find his Justice unlike his Rebellion where he fought for a cause he can't help but feel how pointless this war was it only happened to fuel Lannister Ambitions but while that might have gotten his blood boiling he remembers they only grew so powerful because of his neglect despite his brothers and Ned's warnings he ignored it until the problem became too big to ignore instead Robert throws himself at undoing the damage caused by this war he pours resources into repairing the realm fixing septs and Villages punishing those responsible for the raiding and ensuring the Lords of the seven kingdom are doing enough to help people rebuild this is thanks to the watchful eye of Stannis and renley who advised their brother with Ned gone Rob must increasingly rely on them to run the Seven Kingdoms and while the relationship is fraught they prove to be excellent advisers Stannis starts by clearing Court removing corrupt officials like pyel Littlefinger and Varys while renley appeals to the Lords and Ladies of the realm using his charm to win them over and secure Robert's Reign this includes finding Replacements of the small Council slowly but surely the realm begins to stabilize scars heel and the small folk return to their homes it seems like Robert has succeeded in honoring his late friend's memory but one thing continues to nag at his mind Daenerys Targaryen his last conversation with Ned was his wish to resend the reward for her head and he meant it but it seemed much had happened while he was in his coma not only had she survived but it seems she has turned conqueror too reports abound of her some claiming she's hatched dragons and more saying she is now in slavers Bay Conquering the cities there Robert can hardly believe them at first but his new master of Whispers mandra confirms these reports she has spies report to her confirming the claims though small the dragons are very much real and growing quickly she also casts spells searching Into the Fire for an ERS in the new Temple of rolar Robert watches as massandra begins raising a flame of Brilliant Orange and blinding red it rises over 20 ft high and brushes up against the ceiling Robert peers into the flame trying to see the images that melisandra claims soon he begins to Glimpse things a bell ringing a dragon flying across King's Landing and burning the city to the ground he sees the red keep come crashing down and a silver-haired queen he watches as the dragons burn prisoners small folk and ships as they die out Robert looks back in horror staring at the dying Embers that that destruction can one woman truly be responsible for all that the Flames reveal the future but not the path much can be done to prevent this from happening that is why I am here to serve the good of man and we must do everything we can to prevent this from coming to pass Robert orders melisandra to gather all possible information about Daenerys using contacts in the red priesthood and studying the Flames she starts to catch glimpses of the conquest of slavers Bay she sees her Army thousands of unsullied augmented by a horde of Fred men sellswords and other followers each of the three slaver cities Falls one by one to the dragon Queen until she manages to capture Marine this is troubling news for the king is now from a simple Exile Daenerys is over your lands surely it is in the interest of your great Kingdom to strike at this threat while it remains across the narrow sea what exactly is it you're telling me Ambassador gold ships men we iron throne and he receives reports from the north a wildling horde was marching towards the wall though its forces were smashed by Rob Stark and johon snow they received troubling reports from captured wildlings the white walkers have returned they warn that they are starting to stir all across the Lands Beyond the north the wildlings are fleeing from them by the thousands and the knight's
