the Iron Throne where Jamie Lannister stands nearby Ned remains on one side his face even sickened he does not bother to hide his disgust Robert is half surprised he can looking up at the Iron Throne the Damned chair suddenly looks much less appealing as he glances at the corpses again the weight of this decision feels much heavier battles were easy they weren't clean or particularly pleasant but they were simple this seems far beyond what he knows and where he cares to know he turns to Tywin his face darkening what makes you think I want the damn chair who else would take the Iron Throne your grandmother was a Targaryen by Blood it is you who has the greatest claim my claim he lifts his hammer this is my claim I started this Rebellion to end the Mad King's savagery and I've accomplished my goal I have no taste for a rule if you want to hand the throne to someone give it to Stark Stark a started this war thinking that no one lost more from the Mad King than me although I realized I was mistaken what say you star will you take the throne Ned glances at the chair wearily the throne looks so imposing and brutal but he looks over at Taiwan and cannot picture any good from a man like that sitting there and nods this is your Rebellion Robert if you deem me worthy of the crown I will strive to one of your wishes Robert Grunts and Ned begins to make his way over toward it feeling everyone's eye is upon him as he takes his seat on the Iron Throne the metal spikes are cool to the touch and dig into his skin but as he glances down he sees their eyes looking up at him he gestures towards the bloodied corpses of Aries RIS and Aon very well as my first decree is King have these corpses taken away in prepared for burial and have those responsible arrested immediately he takes a small pleasure in the surprise on tywin's face as Ned's guards seiz him jimie sir Emory and others soon follow the mountain is the only one who resists killing several men before Robert wrestles him to the ground as they are LED away Ned feels his shoulders slump at all the work that must be done Tywin Greger Amory are all put to death executed by Ned's hand as punishment for treason against the crown Jaimie is just barely spared this death thanks to John Aaron and Robert Who convinced Ned to let him take the black instead reluctantly Ned agrees and sends Jamie to the wall along with some of the other prisoners taken during the sack of King's Landing Ned begins to accept homage from the defeated Lords including houses Tyrell and Martell who are largely spared any retribution as Ned is focused on repairing the division this war is brought this allows almost all the royalist houses to yield without a fight The Only Exception is Dragon Stone which remains defiant Robert advises Ned to storm the castle and put the children to death but Ned refuses and instead personally sails there to talk with the Garrison outside the walls Sir William Derry marches out to meet with Ned the gruff Knight sizes up the new king and grunts you've held this Castle admirably sir although I take it you've received my terms I have and let me guess you're here to demand their heads I admit I have some advisers who believe that is what I should do Lord Robert and Lord Aaron both believe that it is the best way to ensure peace huh of course the boore wishes them dead nothing less will satisfy his blood lust but his opinion doesn't matter to me I wish to know what you think I believe that a piece built on such tones is not a pieace worth having so I offer these terms instead a royal pardon to the targaryan children they shall be allowed here in the Seven Kingdoms as Lords with the houses of the narrow sea pledged to them as long as they keep the king's peace and bend the knee how generous if I may be so bold as to make a suggestion you may Dragon stone is not going anywhere let it remain here but let them be raised in the mainland they will be less likely to Rebel if they do not feel like prison my cousin sir Raymond Derry will be happy to poster them his Le Lord is your ally and it seems my House's fortunes have not fared well in this war he's unlikely to raise his banners in Rebellion very well these terms are acceptable with that the castle Garrison yields to Ned Stark and the Royal children are let out as visarius walks through the gate he spots Ned observing them in the distance the new king of appears cold and Grim to the young prince as they are LED onto a boat and brought over to Castle da the surrender of dragon stone is the final event of Robert's Rebellion allowing Ned to begin his rule in peace with John Aaron as his hand the two begin to repair the realm he offers the heads of Tywin in the mountain to help appease the dornish while Robert rages at Ned allowing them to live he cannot stay mad at his old friend especially when he hears of lyanna's death this brings the two together and leaves Robert devastated as he retires to Storm's end to rule his domain for the next few years things seem to go quite smoothly as Ned Works tirelessly to heal the wounds of the war in ways that Robert never could while he lacks the barathan Lord's Charisma Ned makes up for it in honor and compassion he rules fairly and wisely avoiding punishing houses and instead urges cooperation this is when balen Greyjoy begins his Rebellion a few years later many houses are quick to lend their strength to quell this threat Robert and Stannis are the first to volunteer in the war but even former enemies like the red wines tyrells and Kevin Lannister lend soldiers and ships soon the ironborn are driven out of the Mainland and the Coalition Army is landing on the iron Islands themselves while there are many Heroes and major houses present one person whom everyone is surprised to see is viseris Targaryen who serves as Sir Raymond's Squire the ruler of house Derry boasts of V's intelligence and skill to the other Lords claiming that he shows promise with weapons here the former Prince wins the respect of his peers especially when he manages to kill an ironborn Warrior during a night raid on their Camp the grey Joy Rebellion is soon crushed with a resounding victory for the crown but as Ned prepares to leave he watches Prince viseris he soon begins to visit the Targaryen child and dairy regularly watching their progress and asking about their well-being sir raymon always gives reports with cool courtesy he finds Daenerys initially timid but quickly warms up to Ned who treats her kindly Ned shows her how to ride horses and tells her stories from the north which Fascinate the young girl as Sir Raymond boasts various is indeed clever and dutiful he shows some skill in arms too as the daries have him train frequently aiming to turn him into a worthy KN but these meetings are often awkward as vieri seems rather distant from NED after each visit Ned remains thoughtful of these developments although he is indeed King he does not wish to start a dynasty and secretly wishes to give up the crown however he keeps these plans to himself John Aaron and Catelyn not even Robert is privy to this after seeing the destruction of the last war the last thing he wants is for other Lords to begin jockeying for the throne as he sees these kids grow an idea begins to Spring in his mind of one day returning the crown to them so far he is impressed by what he sees and begins to help their star rise once viseras is kned he is named Lord of Dragonstone officially and has even given dominion over crackap Point as is a gesture of Goodwill since those houses seem exceptionally loyal to House Targaryen Willam Derry has served as castellan of dragon Stone and now serves as V's adviser he did not spend these years running Dragon Stone idly though as while Ned and the Seven Kingdoms focused on the targaryens he was secretly searching for allies there while traveling across OS he runs into the traitor arario mentus who doesn't promise gold or ships but something better the golden company he explains that he has contacts in the golden company and the Seven Kingdoms who can help put the targaryens back in power however to do so he must ensure that Daenerys Mar's young Griff a boy Lio claims is rhaegar's son aegon the old Knight agrees and informs his kin back home who all work to gather allies in the continent however many of their old allies no longer wish to them the dornish were given the heads of Taiwan in the mountain so their blood lust is saded and the tyrells are largely indifferent to these claims forcing them to search for new allies soon they find one in the form of Cersei Lannister who remains bitter at the Starks both for the death of her father and rhaegar whom she wished to marry when offered viser the younger brother of the legendary Prince she gladly accepts this offer although many in the Seven Kingdoms are shocked as the daies and even the targaryens are not the power they had once been but none say these comments to their face the marriage is a stormy one as Cersei becomes one of V serious's Chief advisors she Whispers into his ear about the evil of Ned Stark painting him as a fool and a usurper whose favored to them is a slight a reminder of his reduced station how could you say that he has given me dragon Stone and more these are insults my prince slights wrapped in gifts why would he give you something that rightfully Belongs to You remind us that he holds the power that he sits where you should unfortunately she is just one among many though they are married Cersei travels across the Seven Kingdoms flirting with Lords or winning them over with charm to gain their support while Ned did an admirable job at keeping the peace many young Knights are swayed by the prospect of Adventure While others are looking for advancement many lesser houses lost some of their wealth and influence due to supporting the targaryens and are eager to get it back though her Uncle Kevin advises against it he cannot stop her from this course of action the straw that breaks the camel's back comes when Daenerys wishes to be fostered in the north viser sees this as Ned taking his sister from him and trying to make her a hostage and refuses to allow this even trying to Ambush her column as she makes her way up the riverlands it is only because of the heroism of Jon Snow that saves her and allows her to make her way up the neck Ned orders viseris to stop and threatens to strip him of dragon Stone this insult proves too much as visarius and Cersei rally their forces for war the war begins in the riverlands as cersei's Charisma and viser claim to the Iron Throne sway many disillusioned Lords they storm through the golden tooth and their army Moves Like a Storm looting Villages and burning crops but as they capture pink Maiden they receive an unexpected visitor Jaimie Lannister who deserted the knight's watch and joins their army this frees up faeries to lead the secondary Force into the reach while the Lannisters Rampage through the riverlands not all the Lannister forces join this war though as Sir Kevin refuses to march with some of the older Lords but Jaimie manages to sway many younger Lords and Reckless Lords to join him South the riverlands Army is aided by an additional force of riverlords who are loyal to house Dairy and swayed by their promises house muttin ryar and haray all join in pledging their troops to their army but at se the Rebel's strength grows further as viseris manages to secure the support of Balon Greyjoy by promising to recognize his claims to any Northern land he seizes hearing this Balon sends his long ships to raid the northern coasts soon the Stony Shore sea dragon point and even the western coast of the riverlands are under threat Ned orders mace Ty to stop the southern Invasion while he gathers his in the South with John Aaron the northern defenses are given to maage Mormont and Rob Stark who begin organizing a counter offensive while wewin manderly constructs a new Fleet Ned's host from the crown lenss marches to the Trident attacking the rebellious River Lords from behind and joining up with forces still loyal to him meanwhile John Aaron raises the Lords of the veil and rides South together they present a force too large for visarius to face and they must Retreat further west but just as it seems like things might finally be looking up the news comes that the golden Company bolstered by John connington and other exiled loyalti land at crackclaw Point with the Royal Fleet busy dealing with the ironborn they cannot contest these Landings as they March through the peninsula they encounter almost no resilient as the crackclaw houses all declare their support for the targaryens they emerge and threaten to cut off Ned's forces from the capital seeing this predicament Ned sends word to his old friend Robert asking him for his help despite their differences the hero of the Trident wastes no time in coming to his friend's Aid asking only that he be allowed to kill the Targaryen Pretender with the golden company the energetic Robert organizes his army and conducts a forced march to crack CLA Point while Ned dispatches Jon Snow with a small Detachment to chase after them they soon reached the crown lens proper when the cell swords turn at Castle stokeworth to face them Jon's Force soon comes under attack by the golden company Cavalry that harasses the them day and night Jon Snow's army takes heavy losses but manages to hold his position he has his men hunkered down raising their Shields and holding back just as Robert's armies arrive from the south catching this force between two armies this drives the golden company back and prevents them from attacking the capital Robert congratulates Jon for this success and keeps his forces together until he arrives but while this attack stalls they have far more access down south where MCE Tyrell is as Jim's forces advance South to the reach Mace Tyrell is ready to face them at Golden Grove but Ma's overconfidence proves disastrous the cunning jimie Lannister lures the reachmen into a trap while mace marches his Force North Jaime sends his infantry to engage him while Adam marbrand and strong boore lead a Cavalry Force around them and begin to surround them the battle proves disastrous and mace barely manages to escape while Randall tarle manages to gather the remaining forces and Escape they continue marching towards bitter bridge where they are swelled with recruits while mace and Randall tarley try to regroup with their forces they are not in a place to challenge them but they receive help from an unexpected Place Stannis sails his Fleet up north picking up dornishman from sunspear and rallying them to Oldtown where they rejoin Ma's battered host seeing this situation John Aaron also pushes for a diplomatic offense to try to gain allies he reaches out to Kevin Lannister who remains in the westerlands reminding him that that Cersei will bring the house to ruin and offers the rule of castley rock to his Branch seeing the destruction in the westerlands and how many Knights and lordlings perished convinced him to take action Gathering his household Knights and some of the older Lords he convinces them to rise and block off Jim's Retreat to the west but his biggest diplomatic success is Daenerys who sees the destruction caused supposedly in her name and decides to lend her voice leaving the safety of the North she Journeys South and speaks to the Lords of the Seven Kingdoms roundly condemning her brother's actions this inspires those Lords whose loyalty is in question and convinces a few Fairweather Lords to switch sides seeing their support bleed away viseras and Cersei realized they must do something big gather all the remaining forces and rush to engage Ned Stark Jaime tries to rejoin his host with them but finds Kevin waiting for them their armies are battered against one another while the golden company tries to rejoin their forces but Jon Snow and Robert Baratheon block their path Ned and vesser's armies Collide near the red fork on vas's left sir Raymond Derry gallops with a cavalry charge to try and force a Crossing there he meets John Aaron's forces as their horses meet the waters are damned up with the corpses of horses and knights as they lose their balance this allows a force of sellswords to rush down the center meeting Ned's crowd Landers visarius is in the thick of it leading his forces in a ferocious charge swinging his sword back and forth many foes fall before his blade as he tries to press deeper on the left the weatherman are commanded by Sir forley prester in clash with a disciplined force of Northern infantry commanded by Ned himself and galber Glover the northern infantry follows lock Shields as they dive deeper into the enemy ranks like a Relentless tide theer's Forces fight ferociously their desperation fueling their strength Willam Derry stands beside his Prince cutting through men like a butcher sir Preston leads a large force of elite Lannister troops pressing the Northman hard attempting to turn the tide however Ned's forces hold strong the Blackfish commands the Riverland archers their volleys thinning the ranks of aer's army Northern spearmen drive back wave after wave of westermen as Willis manderly leads a cavalry charge that manages to outflank the westermen and drive a wedge between them and the center this allows Ned to lead a charge and strike to meet viseris in the thick of the fighting viseris pushes forward but his forces are getting bogged down he shouts orders frantically his voice cracking as he rallies what remains of his forces his Dragon wied helmet makes him stand out to Ned as he reaches viser seeing this viseris turns his horse and meets him the two Clash in a whirlwind of Steel viseris swings wildly his discipline and training lost in ferocity and Desperation while not coordinated it pushes Ned on the defensive Ned counters with calm Precision blocking back each attack do you even know why you fight Targaryen for the throne for the birthright stolen from my family Ned breaks the deadlock and slams his pommel into vesser's chest knocking him from his horse the young Targaryen scrambles to his feet his pale hair matted with sweat and blood but vaser manages to block this attack you fight for nothing but your delusions theer's lunges forward trying to block Ned off the ground but he sidest steps and brings his sword down in a clean Arc cutting deep into viserys's chest the Targaryen staggers back falling into the mud the battlefield quiets his word spreads of vas's death his army leaderless and broken begins to scatter Ned kneels beside visarius his lifeless body his face Grim it didn't have to be this way as the sun sets Ned's Commander gather around him the victory is decisive but the cost is heavy thousands lie dead on the field their blood straining the Waters of the red fork the rest of the army soon fall after jaam surrounded by three armies is crushed and is hanged as an oathbreaker in the north Rob and Mage Morant lead a series of Daring attacks that drive the ironborn back the way they came meanwhile the golden company tries to Retreat through the maiden pool but the newly constructed Fleet of Wayman manderly destroys their Fleet and cuts them off John connington and much of the gold company are soon captured along with most of the remaining Targaryen loyalists this time it is not a time for Mercy as many of these loyalists who were once offered Mercy now face the Executioner sword among them are Raymond and Willam Derry and John connington they are personally executed by Ned but he does not leave them with nothing if they wish to back a Targaryen Ned decides to name Daenerys as his Heir her actions in the war show her to be brave and willing to stand by her people so Ned offers the defeated Lords a
